《Ascension Game》23rd Entry - Guilds

We meet Lilly at the cafeteria, and the team is proud to share its progress. I see some Japanese people; they seem more relaxed than yesterday. During lunch, I learn something of value. There is an Auction House as well as a bank in the basement. More importantly, people discovered small teleporters inside the station; they allow you to travel fast for a couple of credits. I open my map application for the first time on this floor. Viewed from the top, the complex is a perfect hollow disk. At the center are all the gardens and the mysterious column. I realize there are tons of places I want to visit. But first, I'll take a nap.
As I walk back to my room, I encounter a familiar face. "Hey, Josh! What a surprise," that's Marie. Marie was my classmate; even though we weren't friends, we did a lot of class projects together. I really liked her because of her cheerful personality. However, I never thought that feeling was mutual.
She says: "That's crazy. I didn't know you were here. Have you been in your room this whole time?" It seems I got quite the reputation. Even though she roasts me often, I can never hate that girl.
Me: "Yes, well, you know me."
We chat for a moment, and I can't help but smile at her energy.
Marie: "Oh, but I remember now, I saw you at the party. How was Ashley's mouth? Ahah."
I get surprised that she saw us; I reply it was nice.
Marie: "That's weird; I don't remember you being a player."
Me: "Yeah, you never know. What about you? Are you still with your boyfriend?"
Marie: "Ahah, that's direct; are you interested?"
She pauses.
Marie: "Well, we broke up a while ago. But since we're both trapped here, who knows what might happen."

She smiles and touches my arm: "Well, it was nice talking. See you later, I guess."
She leaves, and I resume walking. I finally reach my bed, and embrace my laziness.
When I wake up, I head to the basement. This time I encounter a few people, primarily members of the Bureau. They seem quite busy.
I enchant a few items for my friends; I put protection spells on light armors and add my "Spider" ability to pairs of gloves and boots. This will surely help them pass the second floor.
I pass by the alchemy stand and try brewing. The process is delicate; you have to carefully monitor the dosage and temperature. I manage to create a bunch of mana and healing potions. I also try out some random ingredients and discover a few properties. I see them listed in my interface.
I then head to the calligraphy desk. Here I learn that you can disenchant a scroll to learn its spell. I also find out about teaching parchments. Any information from your interface (spells, recipes, properties) can be shared using these. Magic ink can be brewed via alchemy, and paper made by craftsmanship. I have none of these, so I leave the studio.
I find the bank, and I learn that you can exchange upper-level currency. The rate is 1 credit per silver for my medieval money, and there is a 1% fee for each transaction. I trade 10 gold coins for 99 credits. My gold coins become available for other players to buy.
I then reach the Auction House. Here I can sell any item. Listing is free, but the system charges a 2% fee upon selling. I use this opportunity to clear my inventory. The Auction house screen automatically suggests prices based on the item quality. I list many items at default price until one catches my attention: "Guild Stone." I have five of these, and the suggested price is 500 credits for each; that’s a lot. I decide to keep two and put the rest on sale.

I get intrigued by this guild system and head to the library. It’s 7 pm, yet many people are there studying. I see my friends and salute them. The guys are searching for useful techniques, and Lilly seems bored on the couch. When I ask her what she’s doing, she replies: “I’m checking Wallshare.” When I ask what Wallshare is, she exclaims: “Wait, are you kidding?” It turns out there is a social media platform for the station. You can create groups and post messages or media. I find some excuse: “My bad, I thought it was some photo editing app.” She replies: “Well, you can also do that.” I open the app and accept the pending invite for our friend group.
Markus asks me: “I’m getting sandwiches for the team. Do you want one?” I accept his service and tip him 4 credits using the messaging app: “Can you get me a sparkled water with that?”
I sit at a computer and begin my search.
“Register a guild stone to the administration to create your guild.” I suppose that it’s somewhere in the basement.
"Guild owners can create a guild contract that new members must sign to join. This contract specifies the government type and additional rules. Like any magic contract, restrictions can be applied to signing parties. However, it cannot be signed under threat and must include an exit clause." I remember reading about magic contracts in one of the calligraphy guides, and I now realize their potential.
"Guild members can assign a percentage of their income (currency conversions and auction house sales) to be collected by the guild. They can also donate directly. Guild funds are available to the guild’s management and can be used to purchase anything, including guild headquarters."
I learn about other guild features that allow easy sharing of resources and knowledge. It would be great to have a guild stash so I could leave items for my guys. That's decided; I'm going to create a guild.

The Summoner's Call
No schedule. The first 20 or so chapters have a little cringe-inducing English. The story is slow and summoning spells are actually scarcely shown at the beginning. Old synopsis: Have you ever heard about him?Of he who was born in the city of mages? He, who once burned a kingdom to the ground?Whose spells did he wave together humbled the gods?Who made men's wildest nightmares pale before those he called from the beyond? The Hypocrite. The Thief. The Mad. The Murderer. The Calamity.History talks about those and more men, and their many deeds. What it doesn't tell is that all of them were only one man.He was known by many names. The Summoner. So, tell me, haven't you heard of him before? It doesn't matter, so listen, as I will tell his story one last time.
