《THRAK》In The Flesh #1

11:30 in the morning.
International High school of London, Class A.
A big change was present today.
For some reason, Jody Johanson was not sitting alone anymore.
She has paired up her seat right next to the transferred student, Syd Barrett.
It was completely the opposite of yesterday. These 2 seem to get along with each other very well.
Sure that there'll be some weird rumors about them spreading around today.
Everybody was confused, however, they assumed it's because he was the same kind of person as Jody. So their chemistry probably kinda click.
For a half-day-studying. Finally, the bell rang. The afternoon break had come.
People left the room to find something to eat, enjoy their free time. Some were still in the class.
" Let's go grab something to eat "
" umm..." He nods.
" You look sleepy."
" Of course I am. **yawns** Literature always be a pain in the ass...”
" Come on let's go..."
Jody dragged him out of his desk and headed out of the class.
“... Just asking' aight?... that time when I broke the fork... It shocked me of how weak your legs were... I mean... How do you live a life?”
" Very hard dealing with it. "
She replied,
" If something hit my leg... like you kick it or someone kicks the ball at it. that's enough to break them."
" You have any issues walking up the stairs?”
" No. But if I fall... then..."
She rolled her eyes.
" Shit, bruh. You're like that-uh, that man in ‘Unbreakable’ ”
“ Who?”
“ That Samuel Jackson guy...”
“ Mr.Glass?”
“ Yeah. Yeah.”
“ Yeah.you can say that.”
“ Shit. What if I make you tip over right now. Would you break your legs?”
The boy gazed at her stocking.
“ You know it would, Syd.”
“ Will you be embarrassed?”
“ I hope you won't try me.”
While walking along the hallway, Syd Barrett noticed that both he and Jody were drawing attention from every individual around them.
" **sigh**... uncomfortable..."
" You'll get used to it," Jody said,
" But the intensity is more than usual today."
" What do you mean...?"
" You know... Because of what you did yesterday. All the students should have heard your name by now. Stick around me if you don't want to get approached by other annoying students, Ok?"
" It'll be that annoying?"
“ Well, you can try.”
Said Jody.
" No, thanks."
Suddenly, they heard the footsteps of someone who came up to them from behind.
" Hi, Jody."
A voice of a snooty girl, calling out Jody's name. Her accent was very obvious that she's British.

Jody and Syd turned around and saw a girl with pink hair with green layers, dark eye line. With the same level of confidence as her.

" What...?"
By her voice, Syd Barrett understood in a flash that these two girls did not like each other.
" Who is she? "
Syd whispered, but at the same time, that girl introduced herself.
" I am Seraphina Gilmour. You can call me Sera."
( ( Ding! ) )
(... Oh...The girl that got second place ... )
" This is the one who got second place in the test. In “The welcome ceremony”, she's the last person I need to beat to take the throne. She's very dangerous..."
Jody replied to him.
" Nice to meet you, Syd Barrett. You're taller than I thought."
Said Sera.
" What do you want? "
Jody asked with an unfriendly tone.
" I'm here for greetings. And I'm surprised that the
'Killer Queen' had made some...friend."
" Is it strange to walk with someone that much? " Jody asked.
" I'm just interested." Sera pointed out to Syd Barrett,
" He's the only student in this whole place that can approach Jody Johanson. He's very fascinating and yet you keep him for yourself?"
" Beware of your words, Sera. He's not being forced."
" Of course, you have a right to say that. But how could I believe it? Especially... coming from someone who used to violence..." Sera acted like she's looking down on Jody.
Attention had been drawn towards those three.
" Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to get under your nerve. But he could be threatened by you. He may be good at studying. But not with skills. There probably has something going on behind you two."
Jody had nothing to say to that.
Sera did have a point.
Most of the students here knew about Jody's past. What she had done before, how violent she used to be.
They got rights to suspect at her.
It couldn't help.
But then Syd Barrett who's been silent for a while cut in between them.
Not only that, he came up with a British accent, mocking Seraphina.
" Ahem, sorry to cut in Luv' but I'm offended when you said I wasn't good at my skills."
He even increased the intensity in that British accent.
" Let me tell you something, pal."
He walked around Sera in a circle.
" There are 3 things in my life I hate most. First, I hate Pineapple on pizza. Second, I hate creams. It doesn't matter what types. It makes me want to puke. And last... I hate being controlled, especially by someone who thinks they're more superior than me. So, I need to correct you."

He lifted his hand, showing Sera something.
"...Syd... What are you holding?"
Taking a closer look, it was Seraphina's black purse.
"!!! "
Both Jody and Sera were shocked.
" What the....? When did he take it?! "
Sera was confused. Syd Barrett was very satisfied with the reaction. To see someone who thinks they're above like her lose temper, he grins.
Sera jerked it back from the boy. She checked the stuff inside, luckily, nothing was stolen.
" You--- huh?!... !!!!!!! " Sera was furious, however, that wasn't all.
"Keeping your phone in your skirt ain't safe either."
Yes. Her iPhone was also disappeared from her skirt. It appeared on his hand instead.
“ Bloody bastard! ”
" And this...? Is a nice watch, isn't it?"
Syd pulled down a sleeve, showing that he's wearing Sera's watch.
" HEY! When did you take it?! Give it back!! "
She took back the watch. They could hear a crack in her voice.
Syd Barrett then gained another (maybe) useful piece of advice, Sera was quick at losing her temper.
He aimed to push it all the way until it reached her limit.
"-And check out these brand new air-pods I bought! " Syd turned his away from Sera showing her the air-pods on his ears.
" My Air pods?! "
" Syd...that's enough." Said Jody,
" I know. I know. this is the last one."
He turned to Sera.
" If this girl really forces me, I better get my ass whooped rather be her underling."
Jody noticed that there's a terrifying aura that was all around Seraphina Gilmour. She's about to use her ability.
But before this went further. The boy stopped fooling with her.
Jody felt an aura from Seraphina was slowly decreasing. Guess She's cooling down.
" Syd Barrett...I'll remember that name."
Sera said before she walked away.
" Syd I think you went too far. She's just worried about your safety."
" You don't like it? "
" Well, it'll be a lie if I say I don't like it.... But thanks."
The boy grin.
" Even she appeared to be like that... she's a good person, though. You don't have to be that harsh."
" Don't you two like... Hate each other?"
" It's not like I don't like her. But she sees me as something kind of the-enemy-i-need-to-overcome thing."
" Oh... She wants to dethrone you?"
" She's not like that. Sera is a person who always keeps improving. She always plays a clean fight, though."
“ Huh... I see...”
" But how did you steal her stuff? Is that your true ability? "
" I just use a misdirection thing. Like a pickpocket. Remember when I walked around her? That's when I took her wallet. And when I finished circling her, the air-pods had been taken."
" What about the watch?"
" I took it when I gave a purse back. Didn't you notice I stand closer to her than usual? "
" Then what's your ability then?"
".... I don't have one."
“.....”
" oh.... Ok."
" Anyway, Syd. If you want to destroy this school then why you make yourself under the spotlight?"
" Because it will make people less suspect in me. Think about it, if a transferred student is a quiet type, no one knows him, moves into a school that has high security, wouldn't it be more skeptical than a transfer student who's told by people that he's an asshole? "
" So... You're telling me...you're trying to reverse their thinking method?"
" What's your reaction when you first know the reason I came here? "
"..."
" I never thought this cocky boy will do this kind of job at a young age."
"To fool someone, the best way is to be able to think like them."
" I see... I understand now... But.. When will you tell me about this mission of yours? ... Since this morning after we made a deal... You haven't told me anything..."
" I'll tell you. But not this time. Not this place." Said Syd,
" Real-life spies ain't nothing like a movie you've watched. There's no adrenaline-flood situation that much. No need to worry. Just don't be caught."
".... Ok..."
The two enter Cafeteria.
" Speaking about age, you know that you are a year younger than me?"
Asked Jody.
" Yeah. And...? "
" Well, I have read that Thailand has a culture called Respect the Elders... It said whenever you meet someone older than you. Even if that is your first time meeting them, you're conditioned to treat them respectfully...Something like that...is it true?"
" Well...mostly, yes. Why you ask though?"
" Nothing. Just curious."
Said Jody, smirking.
"..... "
"......"
" Hey. The world has changed women. You are just 1 year older than me that doesn't count..."
" Let's get some fish&chips, Syd. I'll suggest a nice one to you. You said you don't like cream right? Then you better have some milk. I'll order it for you."
" Hey, you even listening? Why you bring up the age thing? "
“.... Come on. Quick. Before it was crowded.”
“Hey. You even listened, cripple?”
