Few days passed since I left the village to search for the dragonkin. This young brat has somehow disappeared without trace. I was about to give up when I heard an explosion.
I said explosion but it was more like something big falling on the ground.
Unsure of what it could be, I rushed to the place from where I thought the sound came from. On the way, I clearly heard a child talking with … “something”. The voice I heard with the kid’s one wasn’t human. I fastened my pace. If this child was with this being, it could be really dangerous.
When I finally reached a clearing, I saw a kid dressed with rags alone, staring at me. He had a brown skin and scary face. Something I never saw before. I clearly understood he wasn’t from this country. Most importantly, he said something when he saw me but I couldn’t understand him.
I approached him and contrary to my expectation, he stood still. Seeing that he wasn’t scared by me I simply walked to him. When I finally faced him I could take a closer look at him. His eyes were green and his hair short. While he was still young, I guess around five years old, his muscles were well developed. He looked like a fine child to me.
Strangely he was staring at me, as if trying to determine something. As the suns were getting low, I took his hand and made him follow me. He didn’t resist and walked next to me. On the way he said nothing but seemed in deep thought.
When I reached the village entry gate, I saw George make gesture at me. When I was near enough I tried to ask him what he wanted.
“George, for god sake, why are you moving like that????”

“Hana told me to bring you to her house when you came back. By the way, who is the little fela next to you?”
I stared as the kid, he didn’t react to George strong greeting and had an eyebrow raised.
“I found him in the forest. It looks like he can’t talk our language. So, do you know why the chief want to see me?”
George tried to take a closer look at the kid and hearing me, looked back at me.
“duno, something about a “strange vessel” appearing out of nowhere and the king making a decree.”
I sighted and went in direction of the chief house. It had been a while since I let go of the kid hand but he kept walking beside me. On the way I saw him make strange hand gesture but seeing the smile appear on his face it could only be something good.
===============================================================================
This knight…. I dreamed of him…. More like I dream of one of his adventure if I could call it like that.
On the way to his home, I guessed we were going there, I thought of what the baron told me: spirit, card and shadow…. So much for hint….
Unsure of what he meant of spirit and card, I thought of shadow… what could he mean... I guessed it had something to do with the shadow but how and why…
On the way I tried to interact with the shadow but without success. When we reached the gate a strange strong looking old man came to greet the knight. I stared at him trying to understand what he was talking about but it was useless. I needed to learn their language soon anyway. While he was studying me, I tried to manipulate the shadow again.
Maybe it had something to do with the way I approached thing. I tried to make it moving by using body movement without success. Looking on front of me, I tried to imagine it moving differently from me.
The simple idea gave me a violent headache but the result was here. Even if it was only a finger, I succeeded. It would need more work but it would definitely be useful, I was sure of it.

Corpse Crawler
Ludwig Lock wakes up in a hospital bed to find a weeping woman at his side. After some crying, more weaping and confusion, Ludwig discovers that that lady was his ten year old sister, and that he's been in a coma for fifteen years. He also learns that the world he had grown to know was no more since heroes, villains, and super powers inhabit the streets, being regarded as a lot of things withing an endless spectrum. Just when he was about to finally get started with his new life, Ludwig faced a streak of bad luck, the last event of this chain setting him up to die so a vigilante can save himself. After suffering the worst beating of his life and experimenting the incompetence of the law, Ludwig decides to use his own hands to achieve justice. He will face difficult challenges, traumatic situations, and probably horrible stuff to get his life rolling. But at least he's got a friend to help him. Not a normal one though. ---- IMPORTANT: I personally identify powers as a fantastical element, which is why I don't find weird the addition of other elements of the same vein if it stays within the logic of the world. New and old chapters get updated with relative frequency, (new chapter every week, though it may be delayed a day or more to problems or some other reason) and the story is in a draft-like state, meaning it will probably stay the same but there will be changes on the prose or writing. Also, I would apreciate if it is known to me (Respectfully) which points should I improve on.
