Our happiness is short, as can be life
a roller coaster of ups and downs.
For it's not money, children or a wife
that is responsible for our frowns.
Our state of being belongs only to us
true custodians of what makes us smile.
Don't fret if you end up missing the bus
for another always comes by in a while.
Look in a mirror, and stare into the face
of the only person responsible for you.
What matters not is the time or the place
during that instant, only what we say or do.
Disregarded so much, it should be a crime
it shall never return, all that wasted time.
