《White - Infinite》Chapter 4

A blinding white light exploded in a certain realm. Three silhouettes appeared soon afterwards.
“We’re baaaack!” a certain masked youth sang.
White, empty space replaced what had been a black void. The black specks once again appeared up above, painting the image of an inverted starry night.
The youth started to skip cheerfully in a random direction. However, with the desolate surroundings, it seemed to lead nowhere.
A blond who was exuding a divine aura was tied to his back. Even with all the abuse he’d taken recently, the hero seemed in fine condition.
Behind the merry masked youth trailed a large, floating sphere. Its pitch black color contrasted sharply with the White Realm. However, if one observed closely, they would see large cracks on it.
How did you even travel from the realm of the Supreme Gods? It was essentially the quintessence of a home for omnipotent beings.
A raspy yet archaic voice spoke from the floating sphere. It gave off a feeling of power and malevolence. The masked youth, however, continued to skip forward without answering.
I didn’t even realize we left. It would usually have a greater attractive force when I travel.
“Don’t know. Don’t care,” the masked youth replied before halting abruptly. He turned towards the black sphere.
“FYI, calling them ‘omnipotent’ is far too much of a stretch. What I’m more interested in is how you mustered up the courage to talk to me. Especially after you, uh, metaphorically got your ass beat when I decimated your tentacles.”
The entity within the core shrugged his nonexistent shoulders.
No, you’re not wrong. To be honest, I’m scared shitless of you. But my sense of futility and curiosity are more pervasive right now.
“Hmmm… I see,” the stranger in white commented with a snort before starting to skip again. “Both you and Mr. Blond over here are weirdoes.”

The youth in white, the blond, and the black sphere traveled in the direction that the youth in white skipped towards. The blond was still as frozen and unresponsive as a statue, while the masked youth started humming a strange tune. The black core maintained a good distance from the masked stranger and the blond.
After a long period of silence, the sphere spoke up again.
So, uh, where are you taking us?
“Don’t you have a battle to finish with the golden hero dude? I’m trying to find a suitable location for your tete-a-tete.”
What?!
The black sphere shot off to an even further distance away.
What the hell are you talking about! I’ll die if I have to face him again! And what do you mean “suitable location!” It’s literally just empty space here!
“Hmmmm… yeah! I guess you’re right!” the masked youth exclaimed stupidly. “Okay then, since you clearly have the upperhand in logic, I’ll release him here.”
The masked youth began to untie the blond from his back, which caused the Demonic One to start to panic. But before he could do anything, the hero landed with a thud and the masked youth dusted off his shoulders.
“Ugh!” the blonde youth groaned the moment he made contact with the ground.
His frozen state became instantly dispelled as his eyelids fluttered open. He held his head with a splitting headache.
“What? What the bloody hell happe-”
Suddenly, pitch black tentacles greeted his face.
A second later, the hero was blown far away with a deafening bang. In the distance, one could see his body land with a plop. It rolled many times before coming to a stop.
“Pfft, hahahahaha!” the masked youth laughed hysterically as he witnessed the comical scene.
Shut up! This is all your fault! I have to take the initiative or he’ll kill me instead!

The blond didn’t move on the ground. Soon, though, he slowly started to pick himself up, seemingly unfazed by the violent assault.
However, on his face, one could see that his eyes were bloodshot. The hero gave a beastly growl and released an unbearable murderous intent when he saw the cracked sphere in the distance.
An immense mass of black appendages surrounded the sphere, writhing and pulsating in a repulsive manner.
“I’ll kill you, you bloody bastard!”
Nooo, no, no, no, nooo! My ambush didn't work at all! If I die, Mr. White, I swear I’ll come and haunt you!
“Hehe, I like your naming sense,” the masked youth chuckled. “I’ll hope for your survival then, Mr. Black!”
The masked youth disappeared and reappeared a long distance away from the erupting fight.
A snap of his fingers caused a striped, foldable long-chair to appear. A table with a dark brown, bubbly drink and what looked like a bowl of small balls of crispy, yellow fluffs appeared next to it. The masked youth nestled down comfortably with snacks in hand.
“Yup. Soda and popcorn, man,” the masked youth sighed in satisfaction. He lifted up his mask slightly and began gorging himself with food and drink.
“Best snacks *nom nom* when you’re spectating *crunch* something *glug glug* entertaining.”
At some point, the blond unsheathed his shining, golden sword and charged wildly towards the black tendrils. Strangely enough, one could still see the white space beyond the sea of tentacles, which indicated the vastness of the realm.
“I’ll rip your bloody tentacles apart!” the hero yelled as a warcry.
He twirled his body crazily, dived into the sea of appendages, and started to hack and slash the tendrils that shot at him from every direction.
“He sure loves using ‘bloody’ a lot,” the masked youth said as he took a swig of his soda.
Despite his seething rage, the hero skillfully dodged his way through the stormy offense of the Demonic One. Every tentacle was met with a jab, slice, or strike. Every time the Demonic Once tried overwhelming the hero with his numerous tentacles, the hero retaliated with destructive waves of pure swordsmanship.
The battle was fierce. The blonde youth crazily chased the core of the Demonic One, yet the Demonic One defended unyieldingly.
The tentacles and the hero moved at terrifying speeds and their clash resulted in an imperceivable blurr. The hero displayed speed and power that made his previous exchange with the masked youth pale in comparison.
He maneuvered through the mass of appendages adroitly, slicing them off and cutting them apart from one moment to the next. His footwork, form, and handling of the sword reached beyond the conceivable limits of refinement and technique.
Of course, the Demonic One would not bow down so easily. His snake-like appendages were full of power and traveled at great speeds.
He varied his attacks and manipulated his tentacles to skillfully evade the destructive assaults of the hero. The Demonic One was cautious and determined this time in defending his core.
Even so, it looked as if the Demonic One was slowly losing his edge.
Mr. White! No, Sir White! No, wait, Master White!
BOOM.
“I’ll shred your bloody tentacles to pieces!”
Please, I’ll serve you!
CRACK.
“Bring out your core, you coward!”
BANG.
“Haha! You guys *crunch* are funny!”
“Come over here, you bastard!”
CHING. FWIP.
My tentacles will serve you in any way!
“Ew, no. Sorry, but I’m not into that kinda kinky *burp* stuff dude.”
BOOM.
Saaaave meeee!
The tune of battle, along with the shouts of the participants and the one spectator, continued.
