《A Fly in Cultivation Universe》Chapter IV

Cadre slept for the whole day. His energy was drained yesterday because of his evolution.
He open his eyes and the warm rays of sun greeted him. He shake his body to wake his still floating spirit. He suddenly feels that he is hungry.
He eat his home, after moments he felt that his stomach is full again. He realized that when he is eating his mouth doesn't have the sense of taste. The taste was coming from his limbs.
That was mind boggling. It certainly feels strange that when eating, his limbs was the one tasting the fruit that he was eating.
After he was finished eating, he is now ready to tackle his new world but before that he once again tries to call his system again. If he have any. He tried repeatedly but no matter what call he tried, it wont appear.
'No, why don't I have a system? Does that mean, I'm not the main character here? All the reincarnation novels that I read they have their own system. Maybe that's why I am a fly?'
Cadre did not let that affect him and continue his plan to check out this tree that he was on and see how big is it.
He flapped his wings and flew to the top of the tree. He first wanted to the crown of the tree. While flying to the crown he made sure to remember the ways the he was taking because it will be hard to go back if he got lost in this tree. While in the middle of flying he heard a sound that made his scared.
Chirp Chirp
Its was a bird. It was a small bird, but for him it was a giant. He was a tiny fly now. And insignificant insect that birds eat. If it was just one maybe he could try escape it but after the first chirp it was followed by second, third until the chirping of birds was resounding through the whole forest.

They are looking at him, and he knows what that gaze meant. They are looking at a prey, they're food. There only one thing he could do at this point..
Fly faster and so his best to escape!
He sped up his flying. The birds open their wings and fly towards him. He fly upwards and fly faster.
This is where his 360° vision came in handy. He can see the birds coming at him at any given angle. For example a bird was coming from his upper right. He evaded it with him moving forward.
The branches and leaves of the tree help him escape by blocking the birds from flying through the small places that the birds can't fit into.
After many close calls, he can finally see the end of the tree. When he broke through the branches he quickly realized how stupid he is. Now that the branches are gone, he was like a food in a silver platter.
He quickly tries to go back to the protection of the branches but because of his sudden turn he did not immediately see the bird that was coming from the tree.
It was already too late to dodge the bird completely. He bumped in the neck of the bird. Luckily he slid on its feathers but is was enough to make him dizzy and rendering him unable to fly.
He continue falling until he hit a branch causing his back to land harshly on the branch.
He had no time to think about his back because the birds are still coming to eat him. He noticed a small hole in the trunk that he can fit through.
He run towards the hole and barely managed to get inside before the one of the birds reach him. Once inside the bird tried to reach him with its beak.

He quickly backed up. He noticed that the hole was long. Like a tunnel. He followed it because he was afraid that the birds will widen the hole and reach him.
He walked through the tunnel. He thought that maybe it was a hole made by a worm but he quickly discarded the idea. The tree was healthy and thriving so it was impossible for a worm to drill a hole.
After walking for several minutes. He finally reached the end of the tunnel. What he found in the end was a spherical dome.
In the middle of it, is a ring made of a red gem. He can see it because his eyes can see well in darkness.
One of the perks of being a fly.
He approached it and see that there is a design depicted on its outer side. It was a depiction of a crown and a crossed sword. There is also a teardrop mark, an ancient tree, two pair of wings and symbols that he can't understand. It was a gorgeous ring.
After checking out the ring he feel suddenly felt tired. He leaned at the side of the ring, resting his now exhausted and wounded body. He found out that his fall was quite. His back was bleeding. Especially the part where his wings is connected to his body. Luckily the bleeding was slowly stopping. If not he was afraid the he will bleed to death.
When Cadre was finally resting his blood from his wound touched the ring and it suddenly glows.

It's the beginning of a series I know I'm going to enjoy, with great writing and hints of deep in-game lore. The characters are fun, the plot is engaging, and I never know what is going to happen next. The action is fast, brutal and realistic. The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise).
