《The Dungeon of Miracles》Repetition

I lashed out at the golem headed towards Koda. I connected with some weight behind my swing, but the resulting spin was impossible to direct. The little golem would shift its feet or push off the ground right before impact to make its path uncontrollable. We took turns bashing it and sometimes falling down after a sloppy retreat.
We circled around it, honestly just whacking it and hoping that the consequences would be something that we could deal with. Our reflexes were, surprisingly, enough to handle it so far. Though that was because the golem spun somewhat randomly so we sometimes only had to make a short step to dodge. There was fear in my mind that a blow would directly at one of us and all we would be able to do would be to stumble before it broke a dozen bones, but I had no choice but to hope it wouldn’t happen. I tried to keep it occupied equally, but it seemed like Koda was somehow becoming the focus of the fight. He was manuvering more and dodging and attacking more often.
I heard stone breaking behind us and a glance showed the mage holding his sword out impassively towards two grounded golems. I shouted out a warning to Koda, just in case he was too focused to notice. He nodded and we both kept attacking as cautiously as we could.
I was starting to get exhausted from the constant whacking, but we were making progress. Koda struck and as the golem spun to the right of me I could see that we were causing large light chips in the stone now. The more we wore down the easier it seemed to break off more.
But of course things wouldn't go so well. After skidding to a stop, the golem spun itself with a blow towards Koda that came to close for comfort. He jumped back and reflexively put his sword between them, but the golems rod hammered straight past it like it didn't exist. Koda's sword slammed into the ground and his wrist abnormally bent with it before he could let go. A strained grunt came out from him as I hammered away the golem as fast as I could. His wrist went limp.

It took much longer with Koda's blows at half strength. We ended up dodging more than we were attacking now. Every time we dodged we were at risk, eventually it would catch up with us. But we kept attacking.
After a series of strikes, we were close to the wall now. The golem was looking brittle and discoloured around its thinning upper half, but We weren't much better. We were panting and wide-eyed. Our arms were numb from attacking, and our legs were covered in bloody pockmarks where stone splinters had shot off from the golems attacks. Both of us were exhausted, but it seemed like the battle would be over soon.
The golem attacked Koda again, He stumbled out of the way and fell onto the ground. There was an opening where the golem had to wait for its momentum to die before it could move again. It seemed like the end. Koda screamed,
“Go!”
He has gotten into a habit of encouraging me during critical moments. I responded to it and put my full strength into an attack on its curved chest. I heard a crack ring out and it rotated away from us faster than it ever had before. Grinding noises rang out as it spun its features away into a grey blur. We backed away quickly as we watched it. It spun for a few moments before a shot of color came out at a blistering speed and slammed into the wall next to us. I didn't even have time to flinch as it's former weapon shattered and the shards lodged themselves into my back and side.
In those moments pain was very vivid for me. I forgot everything around me and all I could focus on was the grey of the stone, slowly turning darker and closer to black as I screamed. All I remember was screaming. Even when I couldn’t see anything but a wall of nothing, I still heard screaming.
