《The Dark Soul》Darkness Takes Over (Part 2)

As Steffany stepped out of the giant barn, she saw that no one was on the path, nor could she see anyone in their houses. As she wondered where everyone had gone, she heard a loud, womanly scream that came from the direction of her house. She ran there as fast as she could, only to come to a scene of her nightmares.
As she went through the open door of her house, she saw a 3 meter (9'1 ft) tall, dark gray monster with long and sharp claws, a face with only a mouth that had a wide grin on there and blue lines that looked like veins running from top to the bottom of its body.
The monster was looking at her, or what could be considered looking without having eyes. It was holding up her mother that was bleeding all over with small cuts and burns on her naked body. In the background, she could see her father laying there with open eyes and tears running out of them, looking at her. His limbs were cut off and his mouth was closed with wooden splinters pierced through both of his lips. He looked at her with pleading eyes to run away.
"R-Run away... Pl-Please, Steffany...." Her mother quietly muttered between sobs.
She couldn't get out a word, nor would her body allow her to move. She was staring straight at the monster's head with inhumane fear. Her instincts were screaming at her to run away, but she couldn't.
"Kekeke~ I see~" The monster said with a dark and sinister voice, seemingly realizing that they were family.
The monster continued looking at her while cutting her mothers fingers off with its long claws. It then proceeded to hold her up before Steffany, licking the blood coming out of her neck. Her mother was screaming and crying while she couldn't do a thing. It proceded to put her down on her knees right in front of Steffany before slitting her mother's throat, her blood spraying onto Steffany's horrified face.

As her mother was bleeding out, the monster threw her over its shoulder against the wall next to her father that was, by now, dead.
It lowered its body and looked into her eyes with that terrifying smile while chuckling.
Two weeks later
A group of humans, adventurers to be more precise, travelled to a small village that they helped from time to time, only to come to be received by an empty place. Normall,y the village would be bustling with the people that were living there.
They were cautious when they entered, their weapons up and communicating in sign language. Their leader ordered them to split up in groups of three. One group in every direction of the village.
The leader and his companions went to the left where they found a horrfifying scene.
In front of a house at the end of the village, the body of a small girl was spiked up there. Her limbs severed, but held together with clearly visible wooden spikes in small gaps. Her small bones were strewn out in front of her, while some of the smallest bones were needled into the eyes and lips, making them look like a smiley face. Her blood was dried on the floor, indicating that it has been a while since this happened.
The three of them looked horrified at the scene and threw up, their dinner leaving their bodies.
"Wh- What kind of m-monster c-could have done th-this..." The leader quietly mumbled before running away, in fear that whatever had done this was still around. The other two quickly ran after him and they left to the gate where the other two groups had been waiting.
"We have to get out of here. Now." He said to them while quickly walking out of the village. The six people that didn't go with them, but had found nothing while searching the rest of the village, looked confused and followed after him.

The Simulacrum of Dread
The entities known as the Beings of Old have long since staked claims to most of that gem-shaped manifold which is existence. Their alien, furtive, and impenetrably distant politicking has ebbed and flowed throughout past ages, beyond the awareness of most thinking creatures… and recently, it has begun to accelerate. For Sebastio Artaxerxes - and many civilians outside reality’s facets, especially in the transcendent city of Rhaagm - interest in such matters becomes far more pressing after a madman decides to claim a relic of one of the Olds. Sebastio’s demons tell him that fighting the man he once called friend will only end in tears. His soul tells him that tears are only shed by the living, and that the living at least may overcome regrets with time and effort.

Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
