《VOID REQUIEM》Chapter 27: Ondhokar, the horror of true power

In the other corner of the village, close to Kuro’s hideout, Nozomi, Ethan and Bull stood atop of a mountain peak looking at what was happening on the top. Huge cargo filled with hearthstones was moving towards what would seem to be an enormous ship. The ship had a unique look to it, a whole diamond like exterior with a gold ring in the middle encircling it. The top seemed to be loaded with laser cannons, ready to shoot anything at sight. Nozomi and Ethan observed the shipping.
“Are you seriously trying to sneak inside that place?”
“I don’t care if these guys are affiliated with some stupid royal families. If what they are doing is illegal, then as warriors of justice, we have to put them down.”
“You know there are gonna be tons of lawsuits against us if we go through with this. Even your father won’t be able to help us.”
“That doesn’t mean I am gonna sit around here and let innocent people die. Get that through your scared little head, Ethan,” Nozomi shouted. Ethan felt a little bewildered by Nozomi’s sudden aggression. But it was understandable. Nozomi was a woman who was straightforward in action. Hating anyone and anything that goes beyond her moral code. Nozomi was pulling her head up too high, trying to glance at everything that was happening.
“You know you should be careful. Someone might spot us.”
“You’re right. Someone indeed did,” a voice echoed from the background as Ethan and Nozomi both jolted from shock. Ondhokar was there, sitting atop of a rock behind them with his legs crossed and a menacing smile.
“When the hell did he get there?” Ethan shouted like a little girl being scared suddenly.
“I couldn’t sense his Meto at all?!” Nozomi thought to herself.
“Ah, I know you. You’re Yagami’s precious little daughter, aren’t you?” Ondhokar said in his deep malice voice. Bull was ready to attack Ondhokar when Nozomi put her hand in front of him, signaling to the dog to calm down.

“And what are you supposed to be?” she asked him. Ethan was cowering behind Bull like the little coward he was.
“Me? I don’t know myself. Well, that's not something I like to dwell upon at the moment.”
He jumped down from the rock and ambled towards the world without a care in the world.
“I can’t sense any meto… why… why is that… can he seal his presence? How powerful is he?”
All these thoughts popped into her mind. For the first time in a long time, Nozomi was sweating just from thinking. Ondhokar stood right in front of her, looking at her as he used his long rabbit-like ears to get to Nozomi’s eye height, looking at her. Eye to eye.
“Those shipments are really important to my father. I can’t let you do something stupid while that's happening. So I best advise you to wait it out for an hour before you do whatever you plan on doing. I could not care less”
Saying that, he came down back to his feet and walked past them. Nozomi felt fear, but more than fear, she felt anger. A prideful woman like her wouldn't listen to some random dirtbag like that.
“Nozomi. Listen to what he says. We can’t measure his power. It's best if we-”
“Hey fucker!” Nozomi shouted back at Ondhokar.
“You think you can just walk away after talking shit like that?”
“Nozomi don’t.” Ethan whispered, but she didn't listen. Her pride was too high to back down from this.
“I am Nozomi, the crimsons el-”
Before she could finish, a punch landed on her face at high speed, flinging her across the mountain as she crashed into a huge rock. She was hit with so much force that an enormous hole was created from just the impact. None of their eyes could have predicted that. The only thing that Ethan saw was the hint of smoke coming from Ondhokar’s fist as it had hit Nozomi’s face with high velocity.

“I told you, didn’t I? Man, this generation doesn't like to listen at all.” He looked at Ethan and the bull with his calm, demonic stare.
“You see what happens? Stay out of this if you know what's best for you.”
He began strolling towards his ship once again when suddenly from the enormous hole in the rock Nozomi bursted out with her hands in flames.
“You think one punch would be enough to-”
Another punch landed right atop of her forehead as she was smashed down to the ground
“Nozomi stop! You’re gonna get yourself killed!” Ethan shouted.
“Listen to that male friend of yours.”
“Damn you” Nozomi immediately got back up as she threw a barrage of attacks using her crimson purple flames at him.
“Flame Meto: Crimson Burst!”
She shot out an array of flames against him, but it was to no avail. Using his long ears, he immediately created a vortex of wind which wiped out Nozomi’s flame in an instant. Nozomi tried to back up a little to gain more ground for another strategic attack, but before she could move, Ondhokar showed up right in front of her and grabbed her by the throat. She was dangling in the air, not able to shake him off, not able to be free. Ethan saw the only person he ever truly cared about dying in front of him. Even for a coward like him, losing someone precious like that was unacceptable. He dashed towards Ondhokar, using his fat hands trying to break her free.
“Let her go!”
Ondhokar didn't even bat an eye towards Ethan. It was nothing but wasted effort.
“Killing you here would be an excellent decision, but… Your father is a very annoying and powerful man. Making enemies with him now would be a fool's play on my part. That would also make my father worry… So”
He gripped her throat harder than ever.
“I will break you here so that this will be a lesson to you to be more careful in the future who you mess with”
Grabbing Nozomi in hand, he jumped 100 meters high in the air. Reaching the top, he flung Nozomi back on the ground and, to top it off, crashed on top of her.
“AAAAAH!!!” Nozomi shouted from the top of her lungs. The fight was quick, but the noise could be heard from far away. Vigil heard it and instantly took his men towards the sight. As he reached there, he saw an unconscious woman’s body, as blood was spewing out from every corner of her body and a fat boy who was hugging her and crying at the same time. The scene shook Vigle himself. Ondhokar pulled out a napkin from his pockets and gently wiped his face and hands, trying to remove the blood.
“Leave those kids be. You don't wanna get on bad terms with the government, do you?” Ondhokar said.
“Why help us?” Vigle asked.
“Help? Oh, no. Don’t think of it as help. Think of it as paying with interest.” he said to Vigle as he walked away towards his ship. The wolves looked at the sight with cpnfusion about what they should do.
“Leave them. They are already broken as it is. Besides we have a business we need to take care of in that village!”

The Helena Chronicles
Espers are really no different than humans; they look like any normal human and in general behave like any normal human. However, there are a few key differences. The max life expectancy of espers ranges from forty-five to fifty. They naturally have a knack for mathematics and are extremely intelligent in general, this is because their abilities rely on the subconscious and conscious calculations. They also have a mysterious energy source they call Focus that is generated naturally by all espers. The continent of Elestveeve is populated by three major factions, each a governing force. On the west of the continent, there is the Noble Houses that subscribe to the Deity Faith. The Houses ruling with the Deity Faith as council since the religion's founding four-hundred years previous. Controlling most of the northeast is WITCH, an organization ruled by powerful espers; claiming the mysterious Genesis as their capital, they are a whispered myth among much of the continent's less technically advanced residents. In the southeast you have Tech City, a towering monolith of a capital with four sky layers and metropolis' leveled deep underground; it is a city brimming with technical advancement and cyber integration. Each faction contends with one another for their evolutionary ideology, by devout religious worship to receive miraculous gifts, unique genetic lineage to obtain ESP, and technological integration to become something more than human. Helena, a young genius and esper, awakes in a dark room with only fuzzy memories and the company of seven other children. She must determine how she got there and how to get back to where she came from. Warning: Due to time constraints, I don't have the time to keep up on my three stories; therefore, Helena will need to go in a stasis chamber until I can find more time to write between work and life. I love my first girl so much! however, it seems she is the least popular among the fans (the poor girl T_T). This world is much bigger than my other two novels and I'm not giving up on it, but simply having to put her on ice.

A Cultivator's War
The tenuous balance on the frontlines between the Everdream Empire and the Beast Alliance threatens to shatter. Ephraim the Relentless’ time is near, and his death will create a gaping hole in the Empire’s defenses. If left unattended, the Beast Alliance will push deeper into human territory, thereby destroying the decades of peace the Central Territories have seen. Their peace coming under fire makes the populace recall memories of a time before cultivators existed and of a time where the blood of all genders and ages littered the streets. As a result, the entire Empire draws the same conclusion; they need strong cultivators immediately. However, strong cultivators come at a cost: their existence creates a heavy load on the limited essence density on Cella. Thus, the Empire faces a dilemma: who will pick up the mantle when it falls? And how much is the Empire willing to sacrifice?

The Supreme Cultivator
This story is a parody for xianxias, and some litRPG, where our protagonist, Bòhé chá, faces no problems at all in his life controlled by the evil author... Is the author actually evil? (This is not a rhetorical question, I'm actually curious.) PS : this is only written as a method of wasting time, so don't expect me to upload regularly. Edit : removed the LitRPG and replaced it with Satire since that is more accurate.
