A group of six people were walking through the streets. The shadows of the building covered their faces. As they slowly walked out of the shadows, it could be seen that it waere Takumi, Ukato, Kuruka, Nokado, Rikishi and Tado. Takumi let out a sigh of relief.
"Man that round of cards was amazing, am I right?" Takumi asked, proudly.
"Yeah, because you won." Ukato replied.
"Ah, c'mon. Not only because of that." Takumi followed up, smirking.
"I agree, it was fun..." Nokado said.
"... Until you won twice in a row." Nokado followed up.
The others started to laugh. Nokado and Takumi started to laugh too. Everything was going great, Takumi could still remember the old days. The days he just met Ukato and the rest. Takumi looked at Tado, as he saw Tado was a bit down. Takumi patted him on his head.
"Tado, wasn't today your birthday?" Takumi asked.
Tado turned to him, and nodded.
"B- But I don't need to celebrate it, I don't think that is necessary." Tado replied.
"Whaaat? Have you lost your mind?" Takumi said.
"You are 18 now, you became an Adult, we have to celebrate that." Takumi followed up.
"R- Really, I don't wanna waste time-"
Suddenly Takumi flicked his finger on the top of his head. Tado looked at Takumi.
"We should head back to The Orphan..." Takumi said.
"Good idea, they might be worried." Nokado said.
"True..." Kuruka followed up, smirking.
"Good… Let's go back!" Takumi said happy, pointing to the direction of the Orphan.
Takumi walked in front, but he suddenly stopped. As he heard a recognizable voice on his surrounding. It was the voice of… A female.
"S- Stop it!"
A scream came out of the alley way, they all to the alley way.
"Let's check that out..." Takumi said, the others nodded.
They all ran through the alley way, coming closer to the screaming voice. When they entered they saw a group of people surrounding a female, almost their age, with a school uniform.
"Oi! You people better stop that!" Takumi shouted.
Takumi couldn't see the face of the female, because of the group of people in front of him.
"Ohh? What are you all gonna do about it?" One of the men shouted.
"Oh, we'll show you!" Takumi shouted, as he and the others charged the group of men.
One of the men swung his fist at Takumi, Takumi leaned back and headbutted the man.
The second charged Ukato, Ukato spinned himself and kicked the man on the face with the back of his shoe.

The third charged at Kuruka, punching him, Kuruka blocked the punch. He followed up with an uppercut.
The fourth and last charged Tado, Tado couldn't move. The man swung his fist at Tado but Rikishi caught his fist.
"Now!" Rikishi shouted.
Tado ran past Rikishi and punched the man away.
The group of men were in shock of the fighting skill, even the woman was in shock.
"Now… Leave this place, now!" Takumi shouted.
The group of men started to run away. The people on the ground stood up and ran off with the others. Takumi turned to the female.
"Are you oka- !" His eyes widened up and his mouth stuttered as he noticed who it was.
The girl was Rin, from the Orphan.
"R- Rin?!" Takumi shouted in shock.
"H- How do you know my name?" Rin replied, confused.
"No- It's me… Takumi, from the Orphan." Takumi said.
Takumi then pointed to the others.
"And they are Ukato, Kuruka, Nokado, Rikish and Tado from the Orphan." Takumi said.
Rin's eyes lightened up.
"That is why I recognized you..." Rin said.
Takumi looked at his watch.
"Oh sh- We have to go, or else those two will be mad at us!" Takumi said, looking to the others.
"T- The Orphan?" Rin asked.
"Yeah, we still see the place as our home, you should come too!" Takumi said, as they ran off.
Rin let out a sigh, as she then smiled.
"They are no different than before..." She followed up, as she looked at them run off.
"...It's just how I remember them." She mumbled, walking off...

Ryan let out a yawn, as he stretched out his entire body. He slowly entered the dining hall, as he noticed Anne. Anne was looking down at a piece of paper, her eyes widened up. On the piece of paper it said:
'We'll be coming to say hello, tomorrow...'
Ryan's eyes widened up too, as he finished reading the piece of paper.
"W- Where did you find this?" Ryan asked.
"It was flying stuck between the gates..." Anne replied.
"...Ryan?" Anne asked, as she looked up.
"What are they planning?" She followed up, almost tearing up.
"I don't know..." Ryan replied.
Suddenly a knock on the door could be heard.
They both were in shock, as Ryan grabbed a frying pan and ran to the door.
He slammed the door open.
"Surprise!-" "LEAVE US ALONE!" Ryan shouted through the voice, slamming the frying pan onto the mysterious man.
When Ryan looked, his eyes widened up.

"T- Takumi!?" Ryan shouted, in confusion.
Takumi sat down on the grass.
"Ouch… My nose..." Takumi mumbled.
"Oi! Old man! Why would you do that?!" Takumi shouted, standing up.
"Long story… Come in." Ryan replied.
They all were confused, but they walked in the Orphan.
Ryan grabbed the piece of paper and showed them.
They all were in shock.
"Who would write something so disgusting as this?!" Nokado said in anger, as he grabbed the piece of paper.
"We'll wait for them, and beat the shit out of them!" Rikishi said, frustrated.
"We shouldn't, Maybe they are just kids joking around?" Kuruka replied.
"I agree with Kuruka, I guess you do have brain cells." Ukato replied, mocking him.
"Don't mock me, idiot!" Kuruka replied, frustrated.
The others laughed, again.
Takumi walked to the table, as he grabbed the piece of paper.
"We shouldn't worry about it… We have something way better.... Something we have celebrate." Takumi said, smiling.
"True… I haven't forgotten." Ryan said, looking at Tado.
"But this is more a gift from me and Anne, for all of you..." Ryan followed up.
Their eyes lightened up.
"Is it a new car?"
"Maybe a new house to live in?"
"What about a ship?"
"NO! None of those!" Ryan interrupted them all, as he let out a sigh.
He walked to the drawer, opened it, and grabbed a small box out of it.
"How is that something for six people-" "Shut up!" Ryan interrupted Rikishi, as they all started to laugh again.
"Okay… Now serious..." Ryan said, as he opened the box.
They all were in shock. There were six different and unique earrings in there.
"We kind of went for the color of your eyes, every single one is unique as you would have noticed." Ryan explained.
The sunlight made it look like the earrings were glowing brightly, they eyes lightened up.
Anne first grabbed Tado's earring, he had two. Tado's earrings were dots. She pulled out his older earrings and placed the new ones. Tado had two purple earrings on his right ear.
"You have purple color eyes, and I gave you two, because you and Rikishi are brothers." Anne said, smirking.
Anne followed up with a hug.
"Happy birthday, Tado." Anne said.
"T- Thank you, Anne." Tado mumbled, happily.
Anne then grabbed the next one, which was A blue earring, it had the form of a circle. Anne walked up to Ukato and replaced the earring with his older one.
"Blue looks good on you." Anne said, smiling.
Anne hugged Ukato too.
"Thank you for coming here..." Anne said.
"Yeah, I am very grateful, Anne." Ukato replied, hugging back.
Anne then grabbed the next one, which was a green dot. Anne walked up to Kuruka and replaced it with his older earring.
"Kuruka… You should wear glasses, it would look good on you." Anne said, giggling.
Kuruka blushed.
"R- Really?" Kuruka said.
"Really, you should wear a pair once you have money for it." Anne said, hugging him.
"I will… Thank you, Anne." Kuruka replied, hugging back.
Anne then grabbed a yellow earring in the form of a circle, walking up to Ukato. Anne replaced the earring.
"Ukato, I am grateful that you ended up in front of our gate, and not any other ones." Anne said, hugging Ukato.
"I totally agree, Anne." Ukato replied, hugging back.
Anne grabbed two pink earrings in the form of dots. He walked to Rikishi and replaced them with the older ones.
"See, now you and your brother have a cool connection." Anne said, smirking.
Rikishi blushed, as he looked at Tado. Tado showed him his thumbs up. Anne followed up with a hug.
"Thank you, Rikishi." Anne said.
"I should be the one to thank you, I owe you my life, Anne." Rikishi said, hugging her back.
Anne then grabbed the last earring, it was a red dot. She slowly walked up to Takumi.
"Takumi… I and Ryan owe you everything, you made your enemies your friends… And look at you all now..." Anne said, replacing the earring of Takumi with the new one.
"It should be me… Who owes everything… If you guys hadn't taken me in, this would've never happened." Takumi explained.
Anne hugged Takumi.
"Than-" "Thank you..." Takumi interrupted Anne.
"... I should be thanking, not you." Takumi followed up, smirking.
They both let go of each other.
"You all have grown so much in the past 10 years… I feel young." Ryan said, looking at the six. Ryan wiped the tears out of his eyes.
"... I am so happy I met you guys..." Ryan mumbled.
Ryan rushed up to them and hugged them at the same time.
"...I love you all!" Ryan shouted, determined.
The earrings were the final puzzle piece… Everything fits now…
The bond is complete…
Suddenly the door got kicked open. A young man walked through the Orphan, slowly turning to the Dining Hall....
Takumi's eyes widened up…
That person…
He would recognize him in a thousand people…
"...Hello there..."
"...Ta-ku-mi-San!"
The young man followed up, grinning…

A note from the Author: PLEASE leave a review and alert me of any plot holes, weak portions, and anything else. I am in desperate need of beta readers and feedback. I wrote this around the new year, 2020. It's about 40k words and the first in a planned series that follows Gar "Alany" Darron and his agency of detectives as they track missing persons in the city of Throne. I have the sequel planned but not written. Once this one is completely uploaded, I'll be uploading another, unrelated series that as of right now is roughly 160k words long, and somewhere in there, I'll write the sequel to Frame of Mind. I plan to go back and forth between the two series for the foreseeable future. Thanks for reading.
