Chapter 15
Tsuki examined Midori after the other had finished cleaning himself. With clean skin and clothes, the child looked even cuter.
'Lethal also with those nails and teeth but whatever. Anyway, his eyes are red but they have green flecks in them. I am glad some of that beautiful colour remained.'
Tsuki couldn't resist hugging Midori, "you are so cute!"
Midori showed a shy smile before it suddenly froze on his face, 'somehow it feels like something is drilling in my back...I feel as if my new life is going to end prematurely.'
Midori stiffly turned his head and saw Alphonse staring at him as if he were a cocroach to stomp on. He gulped and quickly said to an oblivious Tsuki who was rubbing his head against his, "okay thank you. Please let go now. See Alphonse is waiting for us. Let's not make him wait."
'No but seriously let go! I can see my head flying in the air if you continue on holding onto me!' Midori cried distressedly in his heart.
Fortunately, Tsuki quickly let go. He glanced at Alphonse suspiciously before looking back at Midori, " okay let's go back to the trailer. Are you hungry? There are still some food left."
Midori shook his head, "no I am not. Thank you for asking though."
Alphonse, who had been ignored for a while, walked towards Tsuki and lifted him in his arms. The latter cried out in alarm and demanded to be let down.
Alphonse ignored his struggling and started making his way back to the trailer, "you are doting on him too much. No hugging nor cuddling. If you want to hug or cuddle, do it with me."
Tsuki thumped him on his back, "who would want to cuddle with a big zombie like you?! You are not cute at all! Stop being unreasonable you big dunderhead!"
Midori sweatdropped as he watched them get further away.
'not even a day has passed and I am already regretting my decision a little....will we be okay?' Midori thought as he walked faster to catch up with the two zombies.

After having been bullied into not cuddling other people, Tsuki sat sullenly in the trailer. Occasionally you could hear him muttering curses about a certain zombie under his breath. Poor Midori was sitting between the two and had to witness the play between them. His vocabulary was passively being improved by listening to Tsuki’s ‘creative’ insults. He sweatdropped as he heard Tsuki mutter ‘rotting banana and ugly cocroach’ under his breath.
Alphonse, who currently had selective hearing, was driving as fast as he could. He had to reach the location where his comrades were quickly in order to assess the situation and plan ahead.
'I hope that they are in one piece. Even if they became zombies, I can give them Tsuki's blood. If they are still humans, well, I'll give them the choice of being bitten....This would also be a good opportunity to test whether Tsuki's bite is different…..The simple idea makes me homicidal but it has to be tested. As for how to convince this unconventional zombie to bite people, well, I’ll think about it later.' Alphonse thought while surreptitiously glancing at said zombie, who was still cursing him.
Tsuki stopped suddenly in his tirade and shuddered. He turned his neck and narrowed his eyes suspiciously at Alphonse.
Midori, seeing his strange behaviour, asked him what was wrong.
Tsuki hugged himself, "just now I had chills. As if someone was thinking about not so good things concerning me......Alphonse! You did not just think nefarious schemes for me, did you?"
Alphonse put an innocent expression on his face and just grunted, ‘His intuition is really unpredictable. It rears it’s head at the most random moments. It’s no wonder that he thinks that his is defective.’
Tsuki gave him bland look then turned to Midori to whisper, “ what do you think? Was that a ‘Yes’ grunt or a ‘No’ grunt? I am not well versed in grunts, unfortunately.”
Midori : ‘What’s the point in whispering? He can hear you either way. And how the hell am I supposed to know if it was and affirmative grunt or not?!’

Midori looked at the alpha zombie from the corner of his his eyes and, unexpectedly, saw the other doing the same. If his heart was still beating it surely would have skipped a beat, that zombie is too scary! I know what to say so stop looking at me and concentrate on the road damn it!’
The child zombie quickly fixed his eyes on the road and cleared his throat, “ I am pretty sure that it was a negative grunt.”
Tsuki gave him a grateful look then frowned, “Maybe I am getting a cold…? Can zombies even get colds….?”
Midori kept his expression blank and vowed to himself in his heart, ‘next time I am sitting at the back. I don’t need air anyway.’
****
One day later, they entered a city and after a thirty minutes of driving, Alphonse finally stopped the trailer near an imposing wall. The walls were thick and extremely high. It extended pretty far and completely surrounded the place. There was even barbed wire at the top.
One look at it and you could tell that it was an important place with restricted access. Alphonse opened the door and got out. He turned towards the other two, “wait for me here. I am going to check the situation inside and come back to get you.”
Tsuki: “ This building seems highly protected. How are you going to get inside? What kind of place is this? And just what type of friends do you have?”
Alphonse: “Confidential.”
Tsuki: “What confidential?! It’s a zombie apocalypse you big dunderhead! The government has surely fallen; all confidentialities have been thrown in the toilet! Who the hell has the time to care about confidentialities at this time?! You just wanted to say that word and mess with me!”
Alphonse smirked, “you are right. It’s amusing to watch your reactions. And I am going to jump over the wall.”
Tsuki: “You are lucky that Midori is in the way! Or else I would have already flown across the seat and kicked you! I hope you get stuck on the barbed wire!”
Alphonse chuckled at him then turned to address Midori, “look after him. Don’t let him wander around. He tends to get stuck in all kinds of situations. If anything happens to him….well you’ll see. I’ll try to come back quickly.”
Tsuki took an empty bottle and chucked it at the infuriating zombie, “I am a big zombie! I can look after myself! And if I want to explore I will do so! How can you ask a child-zombie to look after me?! And don’t threaten him, you stinky undead!” He turned to Midori, “don’t worry Midori! If he dare to do anything to you, I’ll pull all his hair out and make him a bald zombie!”
Midori ignored the foolish zombie, “okay I’ll look after him. But I don’t promise anything. He is quite wilful as you can see.
Tsuki: “Hey! I thought you were on my side!”
Alphonse: “Hmm he is. Do the best you can. Tsuki, be good and wait for me.”
Tsuki turned his head away and showed a haughty expression, “Hmph.”
Alphonse: “I see. So you want more washing sessions with me. It’s good to know.”
Tsuki’s neck creaked as he turned his head around quickly, “no! No more washing sessions together! Okay, I’ll be good! Just go already!”
Alphonse gave him a small smile and closed the door. Tsuki watched him go and muttered ‘how dare he threaten me with washing sessions.’
Midori sweatdropped as Tsuki started chanting ‘get stuck on the barbed wire, you stinky zombie’ as if casting a curse. His curse didn’t have any effect whatsoever. Alphonse smoothly jumped over the wall and landed on the other side.
Tsuki pouted, “tsk not fair.”
Midori: ‘Maybe it would have been better to choose eternal sleep…?’

Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.

Getting reborn as an Orc
MC gets reborn as an orc. He is going to grow in strength, going to gather his followers build up his clan then crash, slaughter, and humiliate the humans, elves, dwarves, and such. This is a kingdom building story with litrpg elements. Litrpg works well when we talk about single character focused story. But in my story MC eventually going to lead his troops against other people. So I invented something called the tier system. It is similar to the grading system other game light story's use but with much more clear and understandable rules, also uses a very simplified stats system. When you hear someone's tier you could easily understand what to expect. MC is a crafty guy, he usually uses tricks and shady tactics instead of brute force to achieve his goals. He gets ailed with unsavory humans to reaching his aims. So MC going to have a lot of dealings with society's criminal underbelly. I warn you, my English is miserably bad. If you seeking a kingdom building story with a crafty villainous lead who outsmarts his enemies you are in the right place. If you seek something written by someone competent in English please pass this story and please just don't write a review.

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons.
