《First of The Author's Lore: Fatherly Dragon》Chapter 3

"That young man should be worth at least 10,000 adriks." That seemed to be the woman's voice.
"If we sell his organs we'll get five times his worth when sold in the slave auction." And that would be the man.
... I figured out this much. There's no way humans would generously let a stranger into their home and provide hospitality.
What's bothering me is that they were talking about this right outside the door. The noise they're making is too annoying. I just might blow up this house- no maybe destroying this town is worth it. I mean, ever since I entered the gates, the town was drowning in disgusting aura.
I sighed quietly. Seems like I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. I lazily wrapped the sleeping fetus in a noise-cancellation barrier and closed my eyes as the married pair entered the dark room. I didn't need the fetus crying when it wakes up due to the noise these people are probably about to make.
"So this one's going to the black market as organs aye Berd? And the baby..." The woman's voice trailed off.
I tried my best not to snap my neck at her. What a stinky hypocrite. Just a while ago she was going all "Ohoho~" on the fetus and now she's mentioning it with that tone?
"The baby goes to the Merlin organization as a test subject. What an easy way to make money aye Martha?"
I slowly took a huge breath. If these disgusting people say anything else then the only thing left in this town is going to be ashes. How do you explain this situation... it's like how humans would attempt to quit smoking only to be presented with another reason to grab the smoke pipe again. I haven't burnt down anything since this morning and these hypocrites are giving me more reasons to burn down this whole town.

Maybe I should just do that. And steal that "milk mixture"(whatever humans call it.) while I'm at it. Definitely.
But before that... Let's give them a scare. Because I'm a jerk.
I heard the quiet sound of a blade being drawn. "Wait Berd you're killing the man, now?" I heard the woman gasp quietly.
"Oh and what are you gonna do If this man wakes up to the sound of us strapping him to our huge chopping board?"
"... True." The woman said in resignation as I felt the old man's body heat slowly approach.
Can I please just ask why they have a huge chopping board dedicated to this sick business of theirs? Is their business such a huge success that they invested into a huge chopping board dedicated to butchering their fellow species?
"I'm quite thankful this man didn't have an appetite. I didn't want to waste food on him." The man said before stabbing my heart.
It feels ticklish. Also why is he being so glad that I didn't want to eat their garbage?
"..Why is no blood gushing out?" The man had muttered as I heard him back away from my body, which by the way, still had the dagger stabbed in? It's making it too hard for me to move my body since if I move it's going to end up getting more ticklish...
"Pft-" Oops. Couldn't keep it in.
"M-Merlin's beard-" I heard the woman mutter as she stumbled back. Followed by her passing out. Wow. For talking big, she's kinda weak...
"Man... Y'all are such chatterboxes it's a bit annoying..." I sighed as I took out the dagger, the hole on the skin of my human body automatically closing itself. The ticklish sensation doesn't even feel funny anymore. Now it just felt plain annoying.

"H-how..." The man had whimpered as he stepped back.
"What an obvious question to ask, do you have nothing else to ask other than those boring questions?" I asked, casually tossing the dagger at him. He failed to catch it so it just landed pathetically on the floor.
The man just stared at the dagger in fear, not a single coherent word escaping his mouth. For a criminal, he's quite a coward.
"By the way, why didn't you turn on the light? Even if I was a normal human that woke up, you're quite buff enough to hold me down. Turning off the lights doesn't make that easier now does it." I cackled and held up my hand.
The man whimpered again. I stared at him. "What're you doing? I'm not gonna set you on fire or anything. Yet." I said as I blew on my index finger, the finger litting up with a tiny flame almost immediately.
"Man at this point I'm only screwing with you. I can't even get any useful info from you. And no, shut it. Don't go saying stuff like you can provide information about this.... Malcolm Organization, whatever the name is supposed to be. I don't care about that." I said, my hands subconsciously flinging in the air.
The man didnt seem to be listening to me, his eyes only focusing on my finger that still had the tiny flame burning. Is that liquid escaping from his pants what I think it is...?
"Aight I'm done talking to myself while you piss yourself." I shrugged as I picked up the fetus, wrapping myself and the fetus in a Fire Protection spell, whatever the official name was called. I'm not really gonna die from my own flames but, I don't need my clothes getting charred.
"Aight baibai human." I said and snapped my finger.
And the very same moment I did that, the whole town exploded into a fiery mess, the man's screams echoing in my ear. Ah, I should have also wrapped myself in noise-cancellation barrier.
I sighed and walked out of the town. Quietly staring back at the blazing mess I created, I lazily deactivating all the protection magic I had activated. I feel quite tired now that I used up 3 types of spells in one night.
When I looked at the fetus, it seemed to have woken up. Oh, I forgot to get the milk thing.
"Mono Chavez of the Fire Blossom clan. What the heck are you doing?" I sighed as an overly familiar and annoying voice flooded my ears from behind my back.
"Maria blah blah blah whatever your last name was, my dear step-sister, the one who decided to side with the clan who ended the entire Fire Blossom clan. What's a traitor like you doing here? You lost babygirl?" I snorted, failing to stop myself from throwing in the most sarcastic smile I could muster in my entire lifetime.

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

So Senka clings to her dog’s back to survive, unaware of the fateful prophecy and the great changes to come. But when a wandering warrior becomes her protector and mysterious strangers join their hounded party through a series of seemingly chance encounters, they all begin to discover that all is not as it seems. What is pursuing her? And why? Can the strange characters gathering around her on her desperate quest save her from doom? Are they mere puppets of a young, beguiling witch guided by her own hidden motives, or are forgotten shadows rising again from the immeasurable depths of time? A tale of folk fairytales and myths, of swords and sorcery and mythical beings – a unique story of dark times and unsung heroes who may light your way. Book one, A Strange Bunch, features leading characters of various ages. This is a fantasy with their progression happening slowly throughout the series, with occasional spikes in character power after certain encounters that may or may not be random. Although the book series is written with adult and young adult audiences in mind, it is, in the tradition of such epics as “The Lord of the Rings,” suitable for all ages. Excerpt from the scene depicted on the cover of the first book: “Above this hellish pack and the rider at the forefront, flurried a ghastly sight – a cloud of dark, endlessly bustling bodies and wings, a swarm of creatures that, through their almost infinite number, produced that great din which had first reached the ears…” RELEASE SCHEDULE is about once a week. The entire series should take around two and a half years of weekly chapter episodes, so do encourage me by reacting and following. Ratings are greatly appreciated!
