Queen Eunomia was performing the duties of a ruler in the Royal Palace while her husband was away. Suddenly three days after the massacre, the King’s messenger arrived to report the King’s news. She was expecting good news but was instead told a very terrible one.
The messenger explained how the three guards of Prince Brianus Winstone left him to look for his father’s arrival and that the King’s trusted friend Grand Duke Lycaon took this opportunity to kill the Prince and steal his blood.
The Queen had not even heard the full news report that she went to her royal chambers, her heart shattered, and her eyes full of tears. The sound of her cries could be heard from any part of the Palace, but non-dare say anything.
Five days later, When she came out from her chambers, she looked in a horrible state. Her eyes were sore and worn out. Her lips were chapped because of dehydration.
King Winstone arrived at the Royal Palace of the Elders in the Royal Capital 3 days after that.
Since his arrival, He has only been dealing with his duties and not talking with anyone. Even the Queen did not try to push him for answers because she knows how much the King loved their eldest son.
It has been two weeks since the Eternity Massacre in Argos city. Right now, Feran, 12 years old, Phiteus, 9 years old, and Perseus, 10 years old, were returning to the Royal Capital with Hector Drakos, 10 years old.
King Winstone had his two younger children with Commander Kelton’s son sent to the Grand Duchy of Tyras under Lucas Drakos as protect because of the Great War. The Eldest Prince and the Queen stay in the Great War for stability and keeping things running. This system has been used for more than 14,000 years. (Extra Info - Brianus Winstone was allowed to go to Argos city by his mother because they had already heard the news that the war had ended. So he had no problem leaving the Royal Capital.)

Like times before this, those three were in the Palace of Wisdom in Tyras City for three months. So, they still did not know what was going in the Royal Capital, and the Princes had no idea about their elder brother’s death. They just knew from Hector’s father, Grand Duke Lucas Drakos, that the King won this Great War and was on his way four weeks ago to the Royal Capital, Thiva.
From this information, they could clearly believe that the King had reached the Royal Capital. Because of this, they started their journey to return to Thiva. This time they were coming back with Hector Drakos, with whom they already had a close friendship.
They were riding the royal carriage, and they were slowly moving forward. The coachman in the front was an old man wearing a neat suit. He announces respectfully to the nobles after reaching the capital.
“Your Highnesses! We have reached the Royal Capital.”
At that moment, Phiteus Winstone was the only one awake, so hearing this, he becomes excited to see his family after so long, so he immediately answers the coachman.
“Then, let's move forward at full speed towards the Royal Palace.”
The coachman saw this an order and immediately increased the speed of the royal carriage. This immediate increase in speed caused the two others to wake up.
After waking up, Hector Drakos calmly asks the coachman.
“Driver! Why have you increased the speed of the carriage so drastically?”
Hearing this, the coachman replies without hesitation.
“Your Grace! It is because Prince Phiteus has ordered me to do so.”
Hearing this, Feran Winstone becomes a little annoyed at his little brother.
“Oh! Dear little brother of mine, could you not have waited for a few more minutes? I know that you are very excited to see big brother Brianus and father, but you knew that we were sleeping, right???”

Phiteus answers mischievously to him while trying to avoid eye contact.
“Were you all sleeping? Hmmmmm, I did not notice. I apologize, big brother.”
After taking a large breath, Feran replies to him.
“Sigh! It’s alright, little brother. It does not matter now because we are already in the area of the Royal Palace.”
After a few minutes pass, they can also see the gates of the Royal Palace of the Elders.
“Your Graces! We have reached the Royal Palace gates.
Right now, even after so much noise, Perseus was still sleeping soundly.
So, Phiteus became mysterious again and decided to play a little prank on Perseus to wake him up. He spoke in a high but respectful voice.
“WOW! COMMANDER KELTON, I NEVER EXPECTED TO SEE YOU HERE!”
When Perseus heard this, it was like lighting passed through him, and he was awake and ready in a second. He suddenly stood up and started speaking in a low and respectful voice.
“Greetings, father! Your son has returned.”
Hearing this, Phiteus, Hector, and even Feran started to laugh very loudly. Phiteus said something while laughing.
“Hahaha! Even you feel for my tricks this time. *smirk* It really is easy to trick all of you. Did you really think that the Commander will be hereafter a war? Right now, he must be in the Intelligence Bureau gathering information about the other nations’ situations.”
Perseus took a sigh of relief that his father did not say him sleeping in such a vulnerable position.
“Hah! Off-course I knew that *sweat*. Where else he would be ha...ha...ha! I was just pulling your legs, dear prince.”
Phiteus smiled while trying to hold his laughter again as he answered him.
“Really? You really pulled a good one on me, “Commander” *laugh*.”
Right now, they had already reached the gates of the Palace. But the coach dare not speak until the nobles have finished talking.
They were laughing in the royal carriage without care. Hearing this laughter made the two nearby guards very annoyed. So they approached the royal carriage with anger. They spoke in a high tone manner.
“Halt! How dare you laugh at the gates of the Royal Palace? Do you know know that the whole kingdom is in the time of sorrow?”
Hearing this made them realize that they had already reached the royal palace gates. What they had just heard had disturbed their minds. They only know that the kingdom had won a Great War, but they did not know about the kingdom being in sorrow.
When the children came out from the carriage, the guards were surprised. They immediately fell on their knees to pay respect after recognizing the princes. This time they, in a low and respectful voice, said.
“We pay our respect to the Royal Princes.”
All four of them were distressed. So Feran asked them with curiosity.
“Guards! You said the kingdom is in sorrow. Tell me, Why is the kingdom in sorrow?”
The guards were shocked that the princes knew nothing about it. So one of the two said.
“Your Highness! It is because of your brother Prince Brianus.”
Feran immediately became anxious that something had happened to his brother, so he asked the guard.
“What! Tell me, What has happened to my dear elder brother?”
The guards replied in a sorrowful voice while tears fall from his eyes.
“It is because *drip* your brother His late Highness Prince Brianus *drop* is dead.”
