Now I had to mention the cause of my death. Even though I was experimenting on such an amusing notebook, even if there is a 1% chance I will die because of this notebook, I'm not dying alone.

I wrote, 'Cause of death: Burning in the lava.'

'Details of death: Kira would die eighty years from now, with over a billion dollars of self-earned cash. An active volcano would burst, bringing the end of this world. I would die due to the volcanic explosion. My death would turn back time and bring the death note back to the moment where Light Yagami found it.'

By writing the specific time limit, I could have chosen to be an immortal, but there are several contingencies that can be thought of. One, I might be living all of eternity with my body constantly degrading. Two, I didn't know how the death note fulfilled the deaths and the conditions. Nonetheless, nothing could kill me now. Not a bullet, nor a knife; until the time I had specified. That is, if this notebook was truly real.

Light Yagami. I wrote his name to carry on the legacy. If I really do die, then it's best to allow reliable and sensible people to continue this journey. Plus, if the death note could do anything within the limitation of the rules, I could be rich just by mentioning it.

Lastly, if the death note could alter the fabric of time, all the decisions I would make would be void.

I had thought of all of this, even though I knew this was nothing short of a farce. A dream too good to be true.

I slept through the night and tossed the death note in my cabinet. The next 5 days I spent were the same as usual, until fate brought my dreams and turned them into reality.
