《You World》Chapter 8

You are about to stab him with the dagger, but you pause.
You remind yourself that you are now stronger, and you should stop behaving like an ordinary human. You now wield the mysterious power of those balls, and your body is much stronger.
You use the power of your perception over this person. His muscles seem weak. The strength of his body nothing special. There is no way a weak person like him can hurt you, yet alone kill you.
You grin, and purposely let fall the dagger on the floor with a bang. The frightened man turns around and attacks with all his might, hitting you on your chest several times. But his sword can’t pierce your body.
He screams when he recognises your face.
“What the fuck is going on?!” He asks as he savagely kicks the coffin. It falls on the floor and opens up. It is now clear to him that it is empty.
You walk slowly towards him. “Why so agitated my dear advisor? It’s me, your great Monarch. I’ve come from the depths of hell, just for you. Hope you haven’t forgotten about me…”
He panics and launches a series of attack. But none harm you.
He retreats and begins yelling. “Is this undead magic? Show yourself you coward, where are you hiding?! Why have you resurrected the body of the Monarch?!”
You laugh at him. He thinks a necromancer is controlling you. How wrong he is.
You speed towards him and kick him in his face. Your kick sends him flying against the wall, then he falls on the ground and bleeds from his mouth. He struggles to wake up.
You are so enjoying this. You move towards him and then launch a series of punches. It doesn’t take that long to cripple him. He now lies helplessly on the ground.

You move closer to him, and ask, “Be a good man. Tell me where I can find your brother?”
He looks at you in disgust and spits in your face. However, you dodge it.
You are angry. You’ve had enough of him.
You decide to cripple him in the most humiliating way. You pull out his eyes and afterwards you slowly cut his tongue. You are still not satisfied though.
You proceed in severing off his ears, his penis, his arms and finally his legs.
Now you feel happy. This motherfucker finally got what he deserves. You also decide not to kill him, because he will be better off if you do.
You then check if there is anything useful on him. You take this sword and a bag of 50 pieces of silver coins. You can see your face engraved on the coins.
You then waste some time learning how to pocket the sword in your belt.
You also take the dagger with you, as a memento. A memento of your first murder in this world, even though you didn’t use it to commit the murder.
Surely, this was not the best way to start your adventure. Though you relished killing him and you don’t regret it.
You walk towards the door of the chamber, exciting yourself about what you will find out there. More importantly, you have a kingdom to save and another bastard to hunt down.

A Broken World [Rewrite]
In a world of floating islands of stone in the sky, where rivers flow through the air and defy gravity from one island to another, and ancient ruins can be found containing wonders beyond what can be produced by the lands current inhabitants- a millenia long war rages. In the distant past, beyond recorded history, when the crown of humanity's glory, the city of Uri, had stood whole against the enroaching demon swarms- even as hope seemed lost, a band of heroes, against all odds, managed to steal powerful magical knowledge from the demons. With the demon's forbidden knowledge, in the heart of Uri a new ritual was made. Called, "The Millenial Summoning," the ritual had the power to call a being from another world that would have the power to change the world forever. The first being summoned became known as "The Speaker," and he brought the power of the Gods to the world. With the blessings and power of the new priests, the unstoppable demon hordes were finally halted. A thousand years later, the ritual was used again and "The First Sorceress" was brought to the world. She brought the knowledge of advanced magics, and techniques to find and refine magical talent. With the magic power now added to the battlefield, the stalemate was broken. And for the first time, the demons were pushed back. Another thousand years later, and all of humanites hope for a final victory were dashed. Traitors slew the ritual's participants and took their places, and humanity quaked as The Demon King stepped into the world. His name, his nature, where he came from none of these are known, but what is known is his overwhelming power and his brilliant strategic leadership of the formerly formless hordes. Still, despite their position being even more dire than it has ever been since history has been recorded, humanity held on for another thousand years. Aided, thankfully, by The Demon King not taking the field after the first few years and battles. Now, the ritual is being cast again and a new hero is being summoned. In our world, after nearly three decades of study and hard work, Lucas Jaeger is making his dreams come true. With a double doctorate in both genetics and microbiology, as well as an associates degree in accounting, he has finally, after nearly driving himself mad from stress and sick from overwork, been able to put to together a presentation and ask for a business loan. His long time dream, earned by his own blood and sweat, to start his own commercial genetic company is finally coming to fruition. Lucas's car never left the banks parking lot and Lucas was never seen again in our world. This is a rewrite of "A Broken World." It is basically the same story, just a thousand times better and with decent length chapters!

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?
