Hm? Oh, I'm up. I feel different somehow. Whatever, probably nothing.

When I got up, I immediately heard the sound of fighting, so I sat back down until the humans left. However, something weird happened, the humans never even got into the small cave. Odd. I slowly crept over to the passageway, and peeked out. The humans… were all dead. This shocked me, but the most surprising thing was the skeletons. They weren't the pure white they were before I went to sleep. The skeletons all matched the bones now. What happened while I was asleep? I'll go back to my spot and watch the skeletons. I need to figure out what's going on.

Ok, so I think I've mostly figured it out.

So, it's been a very long time since I was last awake. I don't know how long exactly, but I know it's been long enough that the humans now have sharper and more dangerous weapons, as well as this strange light they can use to create various things such as fire. I've also figured out some of the human language, but not enough to know what they're saying. Oh, one last notable thing about humans: they're way weaker now. Like, not just a bit weaker, way way weaker. They can't even reach the smaller chamber I reside in now because they can't beat the skeletons in the large chamber. Things have changed. I'll still keep my disguise so I can blend in with the other skeletons, although I don't think I need it to survive anymore. I don't know what to do yet, so for now I'll just stay here and observe.

Okay, so I basically completely figured out the human language now, but it took a very long time. Longer than I'd like to admit. This has lead to numerous discoveries about the humans:

1. The humans that come here and fight the skeletons are called "adventurers"

2. Adventurers have ranks, and how high their rank is shows how strong they are

3. The light stuff is called "magic"

4. Skeletons aren't the only enemies humans have, skeletons are part of a much larger group called "monsters"

5. Monsters can use magic too

Honestly I'm still trying to process some of this information, my entire view of the world was just shattered, after all.

I've thought everything over, and I really don't know if there's anything left for me in this cave. It's my home, but there isn't anything else I can learn here. Some of the adventurers had some armor on them, so I can wear that to blend in with the humans. I'm planning on leaving after the next adventurer group either dies or runs away, all I have to do until then is gather the armor and put it on.

Ok, so I put the armor on, but as soon as I did one of the skeletons started attacking me, they probably think I'm one of the adventurers. Whatever, I just have to beat them, right? So, I'll just… What? That skeleton… Its skull was crushed when I punched it once! Wait, could it be? Perhaps humans weren't the only ones that got weaker, maybe every monster got weaker too! Wait, wouldn't that mean I'm ridiculously strong? No, that can't be, right? Whatever, doesn't matter now, I can hear the humans coming, I need to get ready to leave.

Unsurprisingly, all the adventurers were killed. Anyway, now that the adventurers are all dead and the skeletons are recovering, now's my chance to leave! I can't wait to see what the outside world looks like!
