Who will save us when all of the heroes are gone?
My wounds bleed, as mere babies scream, swarms of demons pass by. The demons suddenly rumble and quake against this lone and big, yet hallow tree, I open my eyes and pause- the only one that doesn’t make a sound, Thadius, son of Ironclad. He just stares at me with metallic eyes, clenching his twin brother’s hand at just two years old.
I blink-
Damn it. I finally catch my breath
A moment later, the rumbling stops. Another blink- I prop myself up-
Blink- The tree cracks under an intense pressure, when the twilight shines upon us, his sick smile greets us, "Hello, little rats!" He throws the tree away and my eyes close, again and again- Blink.
Right hook, Left, I dodge and blink- Don't punch, kick! My leg swings and it blows him away. He grabs his side and chuckles, "An Oracle?" He then licks his lips as Thadius watches me. "This'll be interesting."
Buy them time. What can I-
He zooms forward and I dodge, then twist before he grabs me. He then punches me square in the face. "Good to know!" He's too fast, can't see far enough! He closes the distance using random movements, using snaps of his fingers, distractions. He's the first to try this, what do I do?! He grabs my face and slams me to the ground. He keeps punching as I block and keep blinking. "You're useless without that little ability? Don't make me laugh!" I've never fought before. I know how but- I've been cooped up in a room predicting movements for soldiers! Afraid of the future, the present!
He slams on my chest and I stop fighting. "No, no, no! Fight back!" He punches me in the face. "Don't you-" He keeps punching- "Fucking-" 'Withdraw-" "From-" "Reality!"

At this rate, I'm screwed. I must do something! Anything! But- Not using my powers, my sure defeat, I'm scared. But what scares me more, is that demonic, sadistic grin. He'll kill the children.
He slams down and I catch a fist. "That's more like it!" I push him off me and get up. He laughs and claps, "Don't die too quick. Not much else to do around here!" He zooms up and I dodge his punch. I poke his eyes with all my might. He reels back, groans, then thrashes my way. I duck and uppercut him into the air.
Was it all in my head? The fear of living in the moment. A mentality of the sheltered? I gotta shake it or they'll all die.
He lands, then laughs, "You've been holding out this whole time, huh?" He tries to stand, but I kick him back down.
He's so slow when he attacks, too much wind up. He's a show off. The air suddenly shifts, he's gone from beneath me. He zooms in and punches me in the face. I blink- I grab him by his throat and his arm flying towards me.
I’ll have to save us.
I slam my forehead into his, then knee him in the crotch. I bite into his neck as he tries to break free. As a last ditch effort, he cuts into my stomach with all his strength, he jumps as I crunch down harder, his resistance slows down and he goes limp.
I’m the only one left.
I focus on us and blink, He didn't attack the children. I wince, grab at my wounds, then walk towards the tree trunk.
The only one who can save them.

Children of the Sun
Abigaël Chase, an ordinary physicist with an ordinary life on Earth got transported to another world. A world of magic and war, a world where death was never very far. She unexpectedly survived for many years thanks to a hidden power she didn't think she had. The same power that many people, gods and demons alike, wanted to annihilate no matter the cost. Hunted and cornered, Abigaël bet everything on a daring move which nearly ended up in her death. Having acquired a new body, Abigaël must do everything in her power to return to Earth. For Earth was in danger and only herself held to key to its survival. WARNING : It will contain mature content. I checked LitRPG not because there will be game-elements (pop up screen from the "system", the god or something like that) but because of the world mechanic itself (there will be level up, quest/mission, guild, etc?).

[Comics*] Season Of Destruction
Born as mortal sons to Napoleon Bonaparte's personal surgeon and forever altered by the sinister mentor who made them orphans, bloodsucking vampire brothers Lucien, Thibault and Marcel are less Lugosi, more dashing serial killers, sour and snobbish, fond of fine things. Not unlike a competitive clan of creepy Kennedy cousins. These nearly immortal all-stars of mayhem and murder lack talons, retractable fangs and vulnerability to garlic or sunshine. They cast shadows. They make reflections in mirrors, and when buried, our boys enter a state of metabolic suspension, "sleeping" until it's safe to rise and return to their work, harvesting heads. After more than 150 years in hibernation, the vampires are revived by the spilled blood of methamphetamine users killed in a gangland ambush. The trio are instantly and utterly addicted - not to the toxic drug itself, but to the blood of those who intravenously use meth. Soon the frankendrug's grip draws their destinies into a narrow spiral of addiction, and their plans to return to modern France are sidetracked, then forgotten as they become lost in the American empire-turned-nightmare of 2028. Season of Destruction is a story that runs on bodies. It's a swim meet in a shark tank, and very few make it out alive. It's a story about the beginning of the end of the world.

El's Revenge
“Revenge is not for the dead- we, as the living, take revenge to relieve the burden we feel,” I whispered into the air. “Salvation for the people who suffered because of you,” I watched as the city burned in the flames. “Salvation for the people like me, who believed in the proclaimed heroes when in reality they were the devils.” I smiled faintly as the ‘holy land’ of those ‘saints’ was destroyed. I heard rustling sounds as Charlotte came to stand next to me, grabbing my hand. “El, are we the bad guys?” If I was still the same as I was before, I might’ve broken down and started crying. Now, it was different. “A villain is just another victim. They cry and mourn, it’s just that no one heard, leading them into madness. It’s one of the reasons why we know the most, but care the least.” I took a deep breath. “We may be the bad guys in other peoples’ eyes, but in my story, we’re the heroes.” Charlotte took in my words for a while and pondered, before nodding in agreement. “As children, we loved the heroes, as adults we understand the villains.” I looked at her and bonked her on the head, earning an angry glare from her. “Hey! You’re barely an adult yourself you know,” she grumbled. I laughed and ruffled her hair, before countering her. “At least I’m not 12. You can’t even be considered a teenager at that age.” After that, we silently watched the flames ravage the land, before leaving.
