As Kade opened his eyes he was greeted with a soul splitting headache. He got up and looked at his surrounding. He was in a carriage with three dead bodies and was in chains.

'Wasn't I just in the spaceship? What happened, why am I not dead?'

As he contemplated his situation he tried calling out to his Soul chip. But there was no response before he could think of anything else a barrage of information flooded his brain. He now currently inhabited the body of another Kade in this world. He and his 3 friends were kidnapped from their village by a powerful heretic woman and have been traveling for 5 days. With inhumane conditions, the former Kade and his friends were dying. And it seems his former colleagues seemed to not have made the transmigration as their new bodies are dead in the carriage.

This world is not like earth, it is dominated Adepts who have mystical and frightening powers like in earth wuxia novels he frequently read. In his current situation, he was even more dispirited. This worlds Kade couldn't become a wizard! He was tested by Feynan the local adept clan and was found not to have a high spiritual talent or affinity. Worst of all he was probably kidnapped to be experimented upon as was frequent in this brutal world.

As Kade was contemplating suicide the carriage abruptly stopped and a person opened the door.

"What the hell three died! Adept Marvin will kill me!" a feminine voice shouted as the light beamed into the carriage.

Kade remembered the dark power she used to subdue them. She must be one of those adepts he thought.

The girl went over and pulled Kade out of the carriage with his chain on and he was greeted with an unsightly swamp and a makeshift wooden house a couple meters away from him. A hooded figure came out of the house and stood still. The girl's body stiffened as she lost her careless attitude.

"A… Adept Marvin," she said nervously "I have brought the experimental subjects, but only one has survived the journey".

"You wretched…." Adept Marvin sighed "Bring him to my lab and since you are my only aide I will spare you but don't forget of your status you lowly intermediate adept apprentice" he stated as he went back into the house.

The girl exhaled and started dragging Kade to the house. Kade was shocked and envious to find out the girls shocking display of power was only at the apprentice level. Adept Marvin must have godly powers that could destroy me in a second he thought.

As he wondered about adepts he came to a terrifying realization. The girl just said that he was an experimental subject, his worst fears have come true. As he weakly struggled to escape the girl dragged him into a room. He looked around and saw an operating table, pentagram, potions and countless books.

"Leave immediately" Adept Marvin harshly told the girl.

She closed the door behind her and the room was filled with silence

"She told me your name was Kade." he continued without waiting for my answer. "By now you must have realized that you are an experimental subject. I will let you free of your chains, I imagine you are aware of my powers. If you try to escape you will experience a fate worse than death."

He let me go and I rigidly stood still afraid to make the slightest move.

"Good, you know your place," he said delightedly " I will explain the experiment to you since you have cooperated. I am a water elemental adept and I have fortunately come across the bloodline of Nagas. Nagas are humanoid creatures from the Oceanic plane who have high spirit, water affinity, and strength. I stole this bloodline from the Antaboga clan who have many water affinity adepts among their core members."

Kade was shocked and didn't even know what to say. He finally uttered "So you want to test this bloodline on me"

"Correct. I will give you the bloodline and once I have deemed it safe and removed Antabogas influence I will transplant it to me. You will stay in the array pentagram. We will begin."

Before Kade could protest water chains has formed at adept Marvins hands and it dragged him to the center of the pentagram. He peers over Kade and waves his hands, water seeps into Kade's mouth and he felt his lungs burning. The sensation was short but painful.

"Your soul is heavily injured" Adept Marvin said with a questioning look. "I am curious to why it's so injured since you are a mortal."

He went to the side of the room and took out an azure potion. He put it in a bowl and added god knows what to it.

"Drink this Bilgewater. It has soul healing properties and also increases your spirit, a lot of apprentices would kill to have this."

Kade hurriedly drank the potion and immediately felt a refreshing energy in the depths of his body and soul. Adept Marvin had a satisfied look and ushered him to lay in the pentagram.

His water chained him again as he took out a blue colored bottle the array pentagram lit up. He took out the blue substance and it magically floated above his hands as it condensed into a ball. Without warning, he smashed it toward my Kades heart and he let out a shrill scream.

Kade felt his blood melting and he was rapidly overheating he struggled to move but the chains griped him harder. Adept Marvin controlled water to surround Kade and he felt his body cooling down. 'Soul chip activated' Kade almost gasped due to shock. 'Soul chip standby for know' he inwardly said.

"The operation seems to be successful" adept Marvin excitedly said, "Have you been tested to have an elemental affinity and what was your spirit talent."

"No, I was tested by the Feynan clan but I have no affinity and my talent was two." Kade embarrassedly said.

"Ok wait" Adept Marvin abruptly stood up and went to the other side of the room. He reached into a chest and took out a clear glass ball. "Put your hand on this spiritual tester, I will test you again."

'Here goes nothing' Kade sighed as he thought to himself. As he reached toward the ball there was a miraculously blue light and adept Marvin yelled in excitement.

"Your spirit talent is now 12 which means you have potential and your elemental affinity has turned to water. The Naga blood has completely changed you, imagine what it would do for me" adept Marvin cruelly laughed which made Kade turn slightly fearful. "Go outside and Vanessa will take you to your room I will talk to you tomorrow."

Kade quickly got up and left the room. He assumed Vanessa was the girl who brought him here. After a few minutes, Vanessa opened a door and walked to him.

"Follow me and don't touch anything along the way or it will be your head." Vanessa menacingly said.

'Oh please you were just cowering before adept Marvin, before him you are nothing!' Kade thought as he Vanessa led him to his room. It was a modest room that had one bed, a desk, and some books. He shut the door and immediately called for the soul chip. 'Soul chip display my information' he said. 'Yes, Kade' it responded.
