The wack of a wip brings me too. My back starts to hurt beyond anything I can experience. I look up to see a priest looking down at me. “Nice to have you back Zona. Now… tell me what you did wrong.” Another wack of a wipe causes me to scream in pain.
“I..did.. nothing wrong..” I say screaming and trying to escape my restraints. The priest sighs and nods to someone behind him. Wack. Wack. Wack. Wack. I start crying and yelling for someone to help. Wack. Wack. Wack. Wack. I slowly stop screaming as I feel something replace the pain in me. Wack. Wack. Wack. Wack. I don’t feel the wipe anymore as a burning sensation fills me. Wack. Wack. Wack. Wack. The burning sensation turns into a fire within me. Burning. Hurting. It wants to get out, but I try to keep it in. The priest looks down at me.
“So… Are you ready to tell me what you did wrong?” I look up at him and he frowns looking scared, “Your eyes… They are crimson.. I think…” I scream as loud as I can closing my eyes. I feel the fire leave me. The louder I scream the quicker the fire leaves. I keep screaming until I feel all of the fire leave me. I slowly open to the sun. I start shaking as I slowly look around at the destruction before me.
All the floors above me are completely gone. Everything is gone. My restraints that held me are ashes around me. I slowly stand up unable to stop shaking. Everything within this place is complete ash. Nothing survived whatever I did. I look down at my hands and grip them tightly. What monster am I? My head starts to feel light as the ground rushes toward me.

I sit straight up breathing heavily. My body feels heavy and my head aches like my skull was cracked open. I look around my surroundings noticing that I am in a small tent. I try to move but my legs refuse to obey my commands. I hit them and I pause freaking out slightly. I start to poke and hit my legs feeling nothing. Before I can really freak out, an old woman walks in. She looks like a savage. Long unkempt hair, furs covering a majority of her body. She comes over to me as I try to crawl away from her. She hits in the head with a stick, “Stop moving. Your body is still healing.” I rub my head glaring at her.
“... Where am I? Where’s Lupa?” She pauses and huffs shaking her head.
“She has gone hunting. You need to rest to heal. The Werebeasts will be here tonight.” I pause frowning.
“Werebeasts?” She frowns lighting a few candles causing me to slowly drift off. I try to fight the sleep coming to me. I hear her before I go under.
“You know them as werewolves.”
I wake up to a howl in the distance. I open my eyes and see Aleem taking care of me. I move away from him as he tries to reach for me. He pauses, “Stay still. We are hiding out until the werebeasts are gone.”
“Where’s Lupa?” I ask getting slightly worried. Aleem shakes his head slightly.
“Well most likely she is defending us from the werebeasts. We need to head south as soon as you regain your strength.” I frown and slowly stand up showing that I am fine. He pauses, “Oh… I should have known.” I give him a look like I don’t know what he is talking about.

“Why would I want to go South? Everyone in the Green Belt will know and want us by now.” I sigh angry at everything. Aleem stands up and starts to pack a few bags.
“First we need to get you a teacher. Someone able to get you to control your magic. Second we nee…” He pauses seeing me start to laugh. “What is so funny Zona?” I start to laugh harder at him.
“You.. think..I have.. magic?” It has been a long time since I actually laughed at something. He sighs and comes close to me.
“How do you think you are going to save the world fool?” He rolls his eyes and finishes packing. I pause for a second and look down at my hands. I don’t have magic. It’s impossible. I hear a large howl in the distance snapping me out my thoughts. I frown and look at Aleem. He frowns and nods picking up the bags. “We need to go now.” He leaves the tent.
I go to leave but pause. I look down and notice I am dressed like Lupa. I have furs covering a majority of my body. Most of my legs and arms are uncovered. The furs are red with a trim of white. My best guess is that it is made of fox fur. I find some shoes that fit my feet perfectly. I take a step outside and I am hit with the scent of blood on the air.
From what I can see, I am in a tribe of some size. I can see at least some permanent buildings. My best guess from what I can see is that there is the starting of a forge. I see a few large goats about the size of horse. Aleem is already suiting them up for travel. I slowly make my way over to Aleem and I see men running toward the front of the small village. I get to Aleem and he looks at me, “Hurry up and climb up on one. We need to get going now.” I frown and give a look.
“Not without Lupa. I still don’t trust you.” He rolls his eyes and climbs up on a goat.
“Well actually I am the only person you should trust. I am the only person who can tell you how to save the world.” I frown a lot and somewhat yell at him.
“I am not going to save the world!” I say this I see a werewolf hop down a few feet away from me.
