《That Isn't My Imaginary Friend(Cancelled)》16: Zane Fog, Becoming a Rebel Soldier

After days and weekends right after the moderate agreement Sergeant Fox and Zane had where Zane accepted the recruitment but was allowed to leave without harm any time he wanted, he eventually became a soldier for the Resistance under dedicated work, earning Sergeant Fox's trust and casual conversations.
But Sergeant Fox decided to stay on Zane's good since he knew Zane would kill him without second thoughts if he disappointed or angered him slightly.
Zane's very first mission was to locate the closest military base he could find, being grouped up with four others, three females and two males including Zane.
They were the outcast of the resistance group is what Zane quickly learnt when he saw soldiers looking down on the four members like ants, the four members didn't do anything about it and wandered on like nothing was happening between them.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you all. My name is Zane" Zane greeted, handing out his hand being returned with no shake back, feeling like he was talking to a wall from how quiet these four were acting around his greetings.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you. Welcome to Onyx Company, my name is Erika Adair" A cheery, female voice from out of the silence replied, shaking Zane's hanging hand.
She stood 5'6 ft tall, had tanned skin, wore her creamy blonde hair into a messy bun boosting her dark brown, rounded eyes with ruddy red lipsticks, her body figure was curvy and attractive, finishing it all up with her wearing a white t-shirt for the underlay where the multi-Terrain pattern military jacket was tied around her lower hips.
"Sorry about their behaviour, they're paranoid people" Erika cackled considerably, flowing beside the sinking chalky snow.
"Why are they paranoid if you don't mind me asking?" Zane asked concerned, checking the four young members out, discovering the fresh sweat running down their forehead.

"Well, Onyx Company gives all the clues, we're a company of shadowy figures" Erika answered head-on, not sounding offended by Zane's intrusive question.
"Nothing wrong with that, I have a shadowy figure myself" Zane softly spoke, relaxing the paranoid group as they felt a warm, tingling feeling infect their shallow hearts.
Sudden outbursts of questions burst out of the whole group, asking Zane plenty of questions enough to make him feel very uncomfortable with the attention he was receiving.
He did think about one thing though, that this haven resistance also has its ups and downs, being scared of shadowy figures is one of them.
Footsteps tramped across the wintery atmosphere, crossing broken, snapped trees blocking certain paths Onyx Company decided to take, drawing their machine guns out in a crouched position behind a tree they travelled thirteen miles for.
They wore camouflaged military wear, becoming one with the whiteness as they stalked the military base in front of them, a military base built around peaceful towns, tormenting them with their war cries and destruction.
Zane pulled out binoculars and zoomed in to see a three men group walking around armed with deadly weapons, then Zane continued his pandering across the scenery to count around 5,507 men and 2,521 females, estimating to 8028 soldiers patrolling the base.
"They are around 8028 soldiers at the military base we found, but it's been built around civilian towns, so be careful" Zane communicated through the small boxed radio, hearing the unpleasant, distorted, hissing sound afterwards, ringing his eardrums infrequently.
"Them bastards, we'll change our mind on using artillery, I'll send a massive amount of soldiers towards your location supported by two combat tanks to fight off their tanks" Sergeant Fox's voice responded out of the radio.
Learning the element, Zane sloped behind the tree he was camping behind with the four members eating away with their bean cans, getting to know each other more before the chaos started.

"My name is Bexley Sallow, I'm 19 years old" Bexley chirped, having a slender body type, looking to be around 4'9 feet tall, shaded pinky white with her wavy dyed, candy hair pulled into two buns on her sides, not matching her brown eyes at all.
"I'm Brea Sallow, Bexley's 1 year younger sister," Brea asserted in a bored tone, looking the same as Bexley but her eyes were two different colours, the left was hazel with silver flecks and the right was amber with gold flecks
"My name is Alvis Dankworth" Alvis significantly greeted in a collected voice, having the appearance of a typical smart kid where his black hair was neatly polished to the right side, wore square-shaped glasses on top of his grey-blue eyes, looking like a vampire in military uniform.
Before Erika went on to jokingly greet herself again, distant tanks roared from inside the white forest, overlapping each other and overlapping thousands of stomping footsteps approaching Zane's hang out area.
The group drew their weapons in a flicker, aiming down the looming chimes towards their spot.
"Put your gun down, it's the Resistance Group" A voice boomed from inside the forest crowds, relaxing the Onyx Companies on-guard faces, following the voice with a tall, attractive male coming out from the shadows into the gleaming glare.
Additionally, bigger groups of soldiers appeared out of the darkness, counting up to around 6,896 soldiers.
No seconds wasted, bullets flew across the sky, tearing through unexpected soldiers, formulating immense screams and roars as enemy soldiers rushed out the protected base to defend their position from simmering soldiers clobbering down the steep hills.
Sacred cries roamed the bloodshed atmosphere, wounded men and women flopped to the dyed red snow from target assassination, fired rounds from devastating tanks raptured the walls and caused a tremendous wave of snow particles being launched off the messy ground.
Zane mounted his new AKM assault rifle against the tree he sat up against and started firing bullets at enemies, feeling the recoil kick him back a few inches after every bullet rounded out of the magazine.
Firing upon the enemies, Zane glared through the rising small amount of smoke from his gun and watched friendly soldiers get ripped apart from heavy machine guns from inside crumbling walls of the protected base.
It became a real thing for Zane, he was becoming a rebel soldier against the hatred government, a perfect plan for Zane to hunt down all the abusive parents from inside the armies.
Becoming a soldier to tear apart his childhood, a childhood where he wasn't accepted for his unexplained reflection of demons.

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.

Wolf's Tail Reboot
I always thought death would be the end, but I later found out that it was just the beginning. I was a slave for my entire life. I served diligently, hoping I would be free someday. But then I died. My stomach was slashed open in a flash, and I bled out. I was ready for death; I had been since I was first collared. I was even happy to sleep an eternal rest. I just didn't realize that death was my opportunity to really live. -------------------------- Author's Note: I don't plan on having any explicit sexual content, but the tag is on so that I won't feel restrained in my writings. Also, the updates will be sporadic at best since I can only write when I'm free which is, unfortunately, rare.

Shadow
Shadow is set in two separate time periods: the year 2027, mere days before the end of the world, and the year 2030. At the core of every action/adventure story is a silly plot twist that only works if the characters it centers around are compelling and well-developed, and there are no shortage of interesting characters to be found during the earth's final days. Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by.These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
