3 Months Later

-Heather's POV

"What are you doing?"

I wince while turning around slowly from the oven seeing Tessa standing at the kitchen entrance with her hands on her hips. I give her a sheepish smile earning a chuckle and shake of her head.

"Heather, you know what Xavier would say?"

For the last few months, Xavier has slowly become too overbearing. It started off with small things like he didn't want me help carry the groceries or Luca. He then thought that I shouldn't cook due to my chances of burning myself. My limit for patience was hit last week when he had me cut how many hours I could be on my feet.

The students were all excited to learn that I was going to have a baby but not nearly as excited as Luca. I still remember how he was screaming when we told him that he would be an older brother to two babies. He has gotten so protective over me that he told the students not to squeeze me during their hugs. I still chuckle at how he pointed his finger and said "that is my little siblings in there." He was so proud.

My size has increasing daily. I swear Xavier seems more fascinated than me. He is always embracing my stomach and loving on me. Not that I'm complaining... I am happier seeing the pure joy he radiates as well as Luca. I can't believe how lucky I am. Only wish he was not so overbearing which leads to my current predicament.

"Good Morning Tessa. I just wanted to cook." I grumble turning back to the stove for my eggs. I feel her walk up beside me gently taking the spatula out of my hand. I turn to her with a heavy sigh. She rubs my back and then gently pats my shoulder. I chose not to argue and go stand near the door rubbing my stomach softly. I jump slightly when two arms snake around me. I sigh and relax back against the familiar masculine chest.

"Sweetheart, were you trying to cook?" He whispers kissing the back of my head. I stiffen slightly which he chuckles in response. "I just want you to be safe."

"I know Xavier but you won't let me do anything." I sigh while dropping my head feeling my tear ducts rushing forward. Pregnancy hormones are no joke! I can smile for one moment and cry the next and want to kill someone after. I thought originally something was wrong but I was told it was normal, especially with twins.

"Your parents and brother are in town. Would you like to go out for dinner or invite them over?"

It's been a few months since they left. They went back to settle some documents signing the company over to Christopher officially. The news had a field day when they learned that I was not taking over and Chris was. My brother so far has been expanding more and making the company his own which I am proud of. My parents have found a house here in California and are moving in later this month when renovations are completed. I worked through issues with my dad. He is now excited about the grand reception both mothers have planned. It also sounds like a baby shower but regardless, my father is happy.

"Let's invite them over, I don't want to leave the house." I say leaving his embrace to sit down in a chair. He gives me a concerned look sitting beside me. He is about to question however Luca comes barreling into the kitchen making our focus direct towards him. He comes up to me but leans down kissing my shirt covered belly and then walks over to a seat where Tessa has set down food.

"Sweetheart, are you-"

"I'm fine Xavier. Just a little tired today." I say giving him a small smile. He continues to look at me to find any trace of lie. He must be convinced because he nods his head and turns back to Luca who is munching away on a piece of bacon.

"Do I need to call the doctor here instead of us going in?"

I give him a confused look which he clearly recognizes waiting patiently. I make an O face remembering today is our gender appointment. We have been back and forth on whether we should find out or not while Xavier immediately wanted to know. He originally wanted a girl to spoil while I wanted little brothers for Luca. Luca seems to think we will both get our wish.

"No it's fine." I say waving my hand dismissively. Xavier still looks at me concerned. "Don't give me that look."

"Are you sure you are okay?"

"Stop it Xavier. I will tell you if something is wrong." I say giving him a pointed look.

"Alright once you are done, we will get going to the doctors." He kisses the side of my head tenderly before turning back to his coffee.

"Mom, Dad- Can I go with Uncle Nicholas?"

I giggle while Xavier rolls his eyes. Luca has grown attached to Cami and Nicholas which I find adorable. Nicholas has taken him a few times to the military base which Luca thinks is awesome! Xavier was concerned to begin with but he has relaxed since his visit to the base with them.

"Yes lil man. What time is he coming here?"

I go to drink some of Xavier's coffee which he swiftly takes from my hand giving me a raised brow. I huff and cross my arms. Tessa giggles and turns back to the stove.

"He should be here-"

Knock Knock

"Now!" Luca says jumping down from his chair. Leo comes in with Nicholas behind me. Luca races over jumping into Nicholas's arm. They both walk over to me. He leans down kissing the side of my head. "Love you mom!"

"Love you too buddy!" I say kissing him.

"Love you beauty." Nicholas hollers while walking out. Xavier's arm wrapping around me. I chuckle at the action.

"Love you too Nicholas." I holler back. I turn to Xavier kissing his cheek. "Love you most Xavier."

His muscles relax but continue to hold me. I kiss him one more time before getting up to get ready. I thank Tessa who smiles and nods at me. I wish Leo good morning while giving him a hug before I make my way upstairs.

-Xavier's POV

"Are you ready?"

I look down to the love of my life who currently has the gel on her protruding belly. I smile proudly with how big she is getting. I don't think she realizes how completely obsessed I am with her. Her beautiful frame expanding for our daughters. She keeps saying she thinks it's boys but I know differently. Luca seems to think he will get to have one of each.

I watch as the doctor pulls the monitor closer and presses the wand against her stomach. I stand beside her grasping her hand. My thumb rubbing over her knuckles. My angel looks at me gently smiling up at me. The doctor continues to move it around and it is incredible to me how much they have changed in such a short amount of time.

"Ahh, here is your first baby."

We both turn our heads to the screen to see the doctor pointing at a perfectly forming baby. I feel Heather begin giggling while her eyes water. I kiss her hand making her turn her gaze to me. Lately she has been overly emotional. I find it quite adorable while she gets frustrated by it.

"It's a girl." I smirk while seeing her narrow her eyes at me. I knew she was having girls. I grin while the doctor moves the wand getting a better view of the second baby. "Your second baby is... a boy."

Our heads snap to the screen to see her pointing at the body. Heather looks at me smugly. I roll my eyes none the less happy. We get to have one of each. Luca was right... Damn he is always right.

"Luca isn't going to let us live this down." Heather whispers while reaching for the screen with the pictures of our children. I chuckle thinking the same.

"Everything is looking great Mrs. Sanford. Will set the apt for next month."

"Thank you Dr." She says gently while blushing. I can't get over how effected she gets when someone calls her by her married name. She told me one evening she loves it making me more proud to call her mine.

The doctor leaves while Heather cleans off her stomach. I am still concerned about her energy level. Lately she has been looking more pale and out of breath. She doesn't seem to sleep well unless I am cradling her. I continue to do all I can to relieve her however she gets annoyed sometimes. I even had George make her sit ar certain times throughout the day while at school, that lead into a heated discussion followed by an intense love making session. Rough sex with her is amazing but now I feel I can't be until the babies are out further infuriating her.

"Love, are you okay?" She ask snapping me out of my thoughts. I lean down giving her a lingering kiss making her smile.

"Never been better."

And I meant it.
