She looked so...lifeless.
I sat on the chair in the waiting room, staring at the clock that kept it's rhythm.
Tick
Tock
Tick
Tock
I shoved my face into my hands, thinking back to the day I met her. This was all my fault. If I hadn't met her that day, or had at least ignored her, she wouldn't be in the emergency room as the doctors did surgery on her right now.
My hyungs have tried to calm me down, but they were just as afraid as I was. The bullet hit right next to her heart. The doctor said she was lucky, but there is still severe damage that they needed to do surgery on.
"Do you need anything, Jungkook-ah?" Jin ask softly.
I looked up at him, nodding my head. "Coffee."
Jin shook his head, "You need rest, Jungkook. You've been awake for hours waiting for her to come out of operation and we don't know how long it will take." He sighed, plopping down onto the chair next to me.
"I want to be there for her when she wakes up." I muttered.
"Who is she to you?" He asked all of a sudden.
"A friend, why?" I couldn't find any good reason of Jin hyung asking me this question right now.
"You two seem more than friends." Jin said, and he was right.
It was like he had broken down my interior wall. "She's everything to me... I can't lose her." I whispered, staring at the ceiling while I closed my eyes.
Jin's hand patted my back slowly and gently, as if I could just break and shatter if he pushed too hard.
"I hate that I'm the one who caused this, this...pain." I put my face in my hands as a tear trickled down my face. I was frustrated, angry, and heartbroken for her.

"I don't know much, but I do know that it was everything but pain." Jin smiles.
We were all here for her—Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung and I. Taehyung seemed the most shocked and worried besides me.
The coffee table vibrated—realizing it was my phone, I grabbed it.
That was just the start, Jeon Jungkook. Next time, I will make sure she is dead myself. Don't think about crossing the line, or I will take those you care for most.
I let out a low growl after reading the text. Jae-eun will pay.
I grab a fistful of hair, seething in anger while reading it over and over again before Jimin snatches the phone away from me. "You got something else to worry about." He nodded towards the emergency room.
"We'll figure out what to do with Jae-eun later." Namjoon steps in, nodding at me.
Countless of hours pass by, I don't even know how long it was until our regular doctor walked into the waiting room.
Taehyung stood up first before it caught all of our attention. All seven of us quickly stood up and hurried to the doctor, waiting for the news.
"Lee Y/N was shot with a bullet into the chest. Luckily, the bullet did not pierce through any arteries or the heart, thought she lost a lot of blood. We were able to find an exit wound so we could not find any evidence to find where Jae-eun is." Dr. Choi read off of his clipboard.
I felt like I could take a deep breath, but the doctor continued as my relief faded. "Since she has lost a lot of blood, her body is not functioning correctly. Her body is not taking in the medication that is needed. Y/N's body has not been responding to any type of medication we have given her, but she is still fighting."

Dr. Choi's finger's tap repeatedly against the clipboard, hesitating of what to say.
"What is it?" Namjoon asked. I, we, were all too impatient to wait for the news.
"Y/N is in a coma."
Y/N is in a coma
Coma.
And my whole world came crashing down
I fell down onto my knees with my head lowered as I broke down uncontrollably.
"How long until she wakes up?" I heard Taehyung ask. I could hear his lip tremble, and he seemed to be on the verge of a breakdown too.
"As of now, we don't know. It could take days, weeks, or even months for her to react to the medication that we have been providing. Y/N's body is in good condition though—and we were able to stop the bleeding so she should be able to wake up soon."
"Can we see her?" Jimin asked.
"Yes, but only one person at a time." Dr. Choi said.
All six pairs of eyes darted at me, as if they were telling me to go first. I sighed, wiping the tears off of my cheeks before turning around. "Can she hear me?" I asked.
"She should be able to, but she will not be able to react." He answered. I nodded, walking slowly to the door before pushing it open.
She was on a hospital bed, or, her body was. Her face was pale as the monitor continuously beeped. Her body was connected with wires all over.
"Oh Y/N," I sobbed, grasping her hand in mine. "I'm so sorry, I should've been the one that got hit, it was never meant to be you." I felt disappointed in myself. I promised to protect her at all costs, but in the end she protected me.
I held her hand, staring at her for awhile more before I kissed her forehead and exiting the hospital room.
"Is she okay?" Jimin asked as I walked out with my hands on my pockets. I nodded as Taehyung quickly went in next.
I know you, you're strong. Come back, Y/N.
