His lips captured mine as we moved in sync, my arms around his neck as he placed his arms around my waist.
It felt like heaven. No, it was heaven.
He gave one last tug of my lip before pulling away, his eyes still trained on mine. I noticed that his lips were just as swollen as how mine felt. I blushed, seeing how plump his lips were.
Jungkook's hands cupped my face, tilting my face up to look up at him directly.
"I have felt this way for a long time, Y/N. Every time you would do something, I fell for you harder—and I fell and fell until you stole my heart." I looked down, trying to prevent my blush but his hands wouldn't let me lose eye contact with him.
"You...you are someone I've been looking for—for my whole 18 years of living. You've stayed strong for times where you needed to, even if you were hurt inside. You mended my broken heart, and turned it to something beautiful." He said, holding my hands.
"I wanted to tell you, but I didn't want anything to destruct our friendship—so I held off asking for quite awhile. I didn't want to get the feeling of rejection, either." He didn't want to get hurt.
He sighs before continuing, "I know it might be too early for all of this and I'm not sure if you feel the same, but, when I'm with you I'm in utopia." He rambled on. He paused at my confused face, then he went straight for it.
"What I'm trying to say is that, I love you, Y/N."
I love you.
I froze up.
"Y/N?" He called out.
"Man, I should've known that it was too early, I'm sor-"
"I-I love you." I managed to stutter out of my mouth.

I have a small smile as my eyes glistened with tears, as did his. Jungkook's thumb stroked my cheek gently once more before he captured my lips into his.
My tongue moved in-sync with his as our tongues fought for dominance—which, he won.
It was getting heated, before I heard a voice clearing their throat and interrupted our moment. We both noticed, pulling away quickly as he shot me a quick wink. I shook my head and smiled, turning my head towards the door.
It was my doctor. How long was he standing there? Did he see our heated make-out session? I shuddered at the thought.
He shook his head, chuckling. "Good news, Y/N. Your recovery and tests are going better than we thought it would go, so you can get discharged within a week." I smiled, this sounded like music to my ears.
The bullet didn't hit any important arteries luckily, well obviously since you're very much alive right now. Just keep getting better and I'll see you tomorrow for the usual checkup." He nodded at me quickly before leaving the room and closing the door.
The Bangtan boys came to visit me in the hospital in the afternoon. Although I told Jungkook not to bother them too much, he didn't listen and called them up anyways.
When they came in, Taehyung sprinted towards me first and hugged me. Jimin came in next and by the time everyone was in the room, I was surrounded in warmth and comfort with their arms around me.
Jungkook told me that Jimin and Taehyung took it harder than the others—they stayed with Jungkook most of the time, too. I felt a special connection with all of them, like we could relate on so many levels.
Jungkook has been clingier since this morning, and I can't say I don't like it. He'd kiss my forehead or randomly grab my hands and embrace it with his. I felt things I've never felt before.

I made Jungkook go freshen up and get some sleep at his home, since he's been so busy worrying about me—he hadn't had the chance to worry and care for himself
I haven't planned or decided to tell anyone about that...I don't even know what it was called. A hallucination? But it was like they visited me, or I visited them.
It was weird—but so real.
"You didn't really miss anything—only Seokjin sliding down the stairs on his butt after falling." Hoseok came close to my ear and whispered, "He's getting old."
Jin's eyes widened, "I can hear that, you...you jerk!" He spat before taking his sandal off and chasing a screaming Hoseok with it.
I appreciate all seven of them.
I really do.
They updated me on Jae-eun. There really wasn't any update, because she wasn't here, and they couldn't find her. Which worried me a bit.
I kept the same expressionless face, not knowing how to feel. Maybe she ran, or maybe she's hiding so she could attack at any point. "We will find her, and we will bring her back whether she's alive or not." Namjoon said as the six nodded.
Jungkook came back sooner than I had expected. He looked way younger and cleaner with his newly shaved face, his hair looking just as messy with a tint of shine and his bangs covering his forehead. The smile on his face almost made me blush.
He walked in as if the whole world revolves around him. Well, basically yeah. I instantly blushed and all of them looked confused for a second, before they all put a smirk on their faces. I found Jin mouthing 'Get it' to Jungkook. I looked back, finding Jungkook flustered before laughing it off. Taehyung looked at me, his eyebrows shifting up and down.
I slapped his shoulder—wiping his smirk off. "Ow!" He whined, grabbing his shoulders. All the members laughed at Taehyung, making him scoff.
"What were you guys talking about?" Jungkook asked, curiously.
"We were talking about her," Hoseok answered, saying 'her' like her name was a forbidden word. I appreciated it, though. I didn't want to remember, either.
Jungkooks' soft eyes turned dark at the mention of her and he seemed angered. "She will get what she deserves." Jungkook says, repeating what Namjoon had said earlier.
I placed my hand onto his shoulder as he looked at me and smiled, the darkness in his eyes diminishing.
We're coming for you,
Jae-eun.

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.
