"Alex, did you find anything? " I asked in a frustration as I reached my private suite.

"Sir, we started searching in Serpens' mansion after they left for Paris. We are sure that we will find something here, that would help us." Alex replied.

"Make sure, you find it before my wedding." I said tossing my phone aside.

I began to get ready for the pre-wedding party my Parents organised.

The party started and the guests began to congratulate me for my wedding. Jessica was clinging to me like a leech much to my annoyance. When the party finally came to an end and the guests began to leave, my jaw began to ache due all those fake smiles, I had been giving to all the guests throughout the party.

Thank God, Jessica left my side to celebrate some girls night with her friends. I found my mother speaking enthusiastically with her friends and I noticed my dad was missing. I searched for him in the party area but didn't find him anywhere. I inquired Roberts about my father and he informed that he last saw my dad going towards the pool area.

I began to walk towards the direction Roberts pointed. My Dad loves parties because there he can always sneak the drinks and get drunk to his might as my mom will be busy handling the guests.

As I reached the pool area, I found my dad sitting in one of the pool chairs with a glass of wine in his hand talking with someone. As I moved closer to him, I found him speaking to the photo of my Grandfather in his phone.

"You stupid, Oldman." My father slurred, "You eloped and married my mother against your parents wishes, You encouraged me to marry the love of my life and when it came to my son, you kept a clause for him to marry the girl of your choice. You bloody hypocrite! " My dad started hurling curses at my Grandfather's picture, in which he was smiling brightly.

"If you were alive today, then I might have killed you. But don't worry, I am sure my mother would be roasting you with her curses for your stupidity. You spoiled my son's life, You stupid Oldman." My Dad mumbled as he took another sip from his wine glass.

I smiled shaking my head and went to stop my dad from getting high on alcohol.

"Dad, stop drinking now. You are already wasted. I am sure that mom's gonna be furious once she finds out what you have been up to." I said taking away the glass from him.

"Evan— My son." My Dad slurred in his inebriated stated. "Sorry, for not being able to help you. I feel like, I failed as a father." My dad began to cry.

"Dad, don't feel sad. I will try to find out a way to get out of this mess." I assured him.

"You will? " My dad asked trying to keep his steady.

"Yes, I will."

"That's my son." My dad patted on my back, "Try and cancel this wedding, I don't want you to get married into that Serpents family. If you can't then elope from the wedding, don't worry about your mom and me, we will be happy even without all those fortunes, knowing that our son is happy. " He said before passing out.

I carried him to his room with the help of Roberts and made him lay on the bed after removing his shoes and coat.

Today, I am getting married to Jessica. Dressed in the Black tuxedo, I stood at the altar not ready to accept my fate. My dad was sitting in a corner grumpily glaring at his phone.

The guests have arrived and are getting settled down, my wedding is going to start in a few minutes and I still don't know, how to stop it. If I don't find any clue, then I will runaway from my own wedding.

I was standing in the altar and Roberts handed me my phone.

"Hello Alex, what is it? Did you find anything?" I asked hopefully.

"Sir, we found a secret locker in Serpens' home office and I am sure it has something in it that will help us."

"Then bloody find it." I almost shouted.

"Sir, we are trying to open it. And it's gonna take a few minutes."

"Make it quick. Break that stupid locker." I said frustrated.

"Okay sir, We will do that." Alex said disconnecting the call.

God, how am I supposed to stop this wedding till then. I stood in the altar waiting for a miracle to happen, when I saw Sam entering the Venue carrying Archie, who was dressed in his little white shirt and blue suspenders paired with a bow tie, his hair was neatly gelled up into a upward spike. Ms. Rivers following him. Archie began to smile at everyone while they were looking at him in aww, He is a charmer. All the guests began to look at him in adoration like he is the cutest thing in the world. He began to get along with the guests without fussing, I smiled looking at the scene. It made me feel proud for some odd reason!

As soon as my mom noticed Archie, she ran to meet him.

"Thanks for coming, Sam." My mom said, " Archie, you are looking handsome." My mom said taking him in her arms. My mom kept talking about Archie all the day, yesterday, like he had casted some spell on her.

"He will look handsome, because his uncle got him ready today. " Sam said pulling up his collar making Ms.Rivers roll her eyes.

"You really are good with kids, Sam." My mom said patting his shoulder in appreciation.

"Thank you, Mrs.Arlette."

"Call me Elizabeth." My mom said bouncing Archie in her arms.

The music began to play indicating the arrival of the bride. I took my phone and messaged Alex. He replied back that the technician is trying to open the locker which will take a few minutes.

Jessica walked down the aisle dressed in a heavy bridal dress with her face caked up with make up. Now that Jessica has arrived and I will be getting married in a few minutes, I have only one way now. I signalled Roberts to keep my car ready at the back door of the resort. Jessica was walking towards the altar and the photographers were clicking their cameras while I stood at the altar.

My mom walked towards us carrying Archie in her arms.

"Wow, Jessica, you are looking beautiful." My mom complimented.

"Thank you, Mrs.Arlette." Jessica blushed. "Who's the kid in your arms?"

"This cutie pie is Archie, the resort owner's nephew." My mom said tickling Archie, making him laugh.

"Oh.. " Jessica said faking a smile.

"Jessica, why don't you and Evander pose for a photo with this cute guy here."

"Oh, sure." Jessica said looking at me.

Believe me, my mom knows all the ways to piss me off.

My mom gave Archie for Jessica to hold but clearly the little guy didn't like her, he began to wiggle in her arms much to everyone's surprise. Jessica was trying hard to handle him and pose for the camera as he began to pull her hair with his little hands. I could see, Jessica was controlling her anger by faking a smile and then suddenly a big scream was heard.

"Ewww— This baby peed on my designer dress!" Jessica screamed like banshee looking at Archie furiously. I had a hard time to control my laughter looking at her face.

"You stupid boy, don't you have any manners, don't you know not to pee on others dresses." Jessica shouted making Archie cry.

My mom was clearly upset with Jessica's behaviour. She immediately took a crying Archie into her arms and began to rock him.

"Jessica, he is a baby. He didn't do it intentionally." My mom said with a upset look.

"He spoiled my designer wedding dress, now it takes me another half an hour to get ready." Jessica argued and walked out of the alter towards her room stamping her foot.

Thank God, this baby is really an angel, who came to rescue me. I hope Alex finds the clues in the meanwhile so that I can escape this wedding without lossing all our hard earned properties.

"What happened? Why is Archie crying?" Sam asked walking towards Archie.

"This cutie pie peed on Jessica's bridal dress." My dad said smiling at Archie.

Ms.Rivers looked at Sam in accusation.

"I swear this is the first time, I forgot to put on his diaper or else I am good at everything." Sam said to Ms. Rivers in his defense. "I am sorry, Mr and Mrs.Arlette."

"No worries, Sam." My mom said cooing at Archie.

"Thank you but I have to leave now, clearly he wants his clothes to be changed." Sam said taking the little boy into his arms and walking towards his office.

Archie looked at me over Sam's shoulder smiling.
