I walk into Uncle Bills mansion it has been a day since our little outing and we have talked a little over text last night. Well actually a lot I can't believe I have him again.

It makes me resent my grandparents even more to be honest I don't want to be at this meeting, but a deal is a deal and plus I want to see Jaxon to. So here I am walking up the steps to the meeting room. As I walk in, I see everyone here Jaxon is sitting next to his father beside them is my grandfather and Lucas as well as Miles and Ashley's dad which I still don't know his name.

Then on the other side of the table sat Jay, Uncle Bill, Jeremy then Dad and Lincoln I took my seat next to my dad.

I feel someone's gaze on me I looked across the table to find Jaxon staring at me, I raised my eyebrows and gave him a small smile and he gave me one back. I was surprised that he did that, I guess I'm still getting used to not getting the cold shoulder all the time. I immediately got butterflies in my stomach.

My little trance was broken by Lincoln elbowing me in the ribs I snap my head in his direction to see that annoying, obnoxious smirk on his face I simply ignored him and look at the wall while waiting for this stupid meeting to start.

"Ok we should get started" grandfather spoke as he looked over at us.

"Yeah the quicker we get this over with the better" dad spoke looking bored as ever or maybe it was the fact he didn't want to be in the same room as grandfather which I understood completely because I don't want to be near him either.

"Ok simple we need someone to go on the inside the only problem is sending a person to join their team is not going to work so option B" grandfather trailed off while turning his gaze towards me.

I knew exactly what he was hinting at he is an evil and conniving man that doesn't care about anyone but himself.

"No, I am not doing it" I said immediately.

"You don't even know what he was going to suggest" Ashley dad said, Idiot of course I know it grandfather I thought to myself while mentally rolling my eyes.

"Your right but I know my grandfather from the past couple of days events, that his plan would be to risk one of my people so he won't get hurt" grandfather went to cut me off "I'm not done talking now this is all simple facts this gang that's going up against you are well known for their activity in prostitution there for leads me to my theory you want me to send one of my women members undercover please tell me if I am incorrect and I will happily apologize but if I'm not then I suggest you come up with a new plan asap" I finished of still looking at my grandfather. By the look on his face I knew I was right.

"Your right Bella that was my plan but tell me what is so wrong with it" he asked keeping the smug look on his face. Now I was angry

"What wrong with it, are you kidding me I don't know if this is a in the moment type of idea or you simply don't care, but you're asking me to put one of my people under cover with no backup no communication with us nothing at all for a mistake you made I don't think so" I wasn't yelling yet I'm trying to keep my cool with this situation because anger gets us nowhere.

"Why not they work for you, they do as there told" he said this man I swear is the most arrogant man ever.

Just as I was about to speak Jaxon spoke first to my surprise.

"Exactly Mr Leroy there her team believe it or not some people actually care about the wellbeing of their team and people that work for them which after all is what a leader is supposed to do is not lead their team to victory not make them crash and burn" he paused for a second "besides you have all this brilliant plans and ideas over the years surely you can think of another one" Jaxon finished sarcastically.

To say I was surprised was an understatement he never stood up for me I guess just maybe he is telling the truth he has changed.

"You know I agree she's the boss it's her decision" Jaxon's dad spoke up for the first time this whole meeting.

"Great now we are in agreement next idea" dad said.

This is going to be one long meeting

Thank gosh that's over with then amount of bickering you could swear grandfather is a two-year-old. I walk down the long hallway when I feel someone grab my arm I quickly spin around to punch whoever it is.

"Ow Bella it's me Jaxon" he said I was shocked he was holding his nose as blood dripped down his face. I rush over to his side and held him by his arm.

"Holy shit Jaxon are you ok?" I said you could hear the panic in my voice as I spoke each word, I feel really bad. But in my defence, he should know better than to sneak up on me.

"Yeah I'm fine I forgot the whole Queen Shadow thing" he said "let's get you cleaned up" I said while heading towards the nurse clinic we had in the mansion.

As we entered the room Linda our nurse was cleaning up the area. I lead him over to the bed where Linda was waiting.

"Oh my gosh what happened" she gasped.

"Just the usual I got punched in the face by Bella" he said while Linda started cleaning up his nose.

"Hey, you should learn not to sneak up on people" I quickly spoke up as I shot him a playful glare which he returned with a cheeky smile which was soon interrupted by a grimace because Linda started dabbing the cloth to clean the blood. Serves him right I thought while mentally laughing.

Linda started laughing slightly I looked at her with a questioning stare which she must have noticed because she started explaining.

I'm sorry it's just that you two remind me of an old married couple its cute if I didn't know better I would have thought you two were a couple" she explained her statement made me blush and put my long brown hair over my face to hide it when it was probably making it more noticeable.

"Don't worry a waiter thought she was pregnant" Jaxon chuckled while shaking his head. Now it was Linda's turn to have the questioning stare.

"Long story" I said which she nodded her head.

After a couple of minutes Linda finished cleaning up Jaxon's nose we said our goodbyes to her and thanked her.

We ended up back in the garden the exact spot he found me the first night I saw him for the first time in a year. We ended up sitting on the same stone bench I was sitting on a couple of nights ago. We talked for hours about random things till I knew it was time for me to go home. The next few days are going to be hell I will have a lot of work to do not only with the mission but the company as well and so will Jaxon.

"I don't want to go but I have to go home and get some rest before the mission planning starts" I said to him every word was true I didn't want to leave this spot.

"Yeah me to its going to be hell working with your grandfather" he paused for a second "but on the bright side you will be there" he flashes that boyish grin he still somehow has.

"Don't worry you're not the only one that feels that way" I said while standing up. He too got up as well and pulled me into a hug we stood there I don't know exactly how long but it must have been awhile because the hug was interrupted by a voice.

"Jaxon!" we pulled apart and looked in the direction of the voice "Oh I'm sorry was I interrupting" I saw Jaxon's mom standing their looking at us with a smile on her face.

"Not at all me and Jaxon were just catching up, but I have to head home my mom and dad want to speak to me it was lovely seeing you Mrs Hunters" I gave her a small smile which she returned.

"You to honey and when your mum is feeling up to it, I would love to meet her" she said as she pulled me into a hug.

"Of course, I think you two will get along great" I said which is true they would. I said goodbye and walked to my car and started driving home to see mum and dad.

Also, to get some rest because gosh knows what the next few weeks will have instore for me.
