Layla
So, after I headed upstairs, packed my belongings again, and looked over all my stuff while Daniel snooped through old photos, my parents finally kicked me out. You think maybe....just maybe, my mom would have cried, felt a little sad or what not, but no!
They just let me leave. "We'll come by to visit sometime! Love you, honey." mom yells after the car as we drive off. Dad and Karly hug side by side, waving by. I sigh as I see them through the side mirror as we leave my parent's house.
Daniel doesn't live far from my parents, but I miss them. My phone buzzes for the billionth time. Trevor and a few unknown numbers have been blowing up my phone. I grunt inwardly as I see another call from Trevor. I close my eyes in frustration, ignoring the call. "Who keeps calling you, ladybug?" Daniel asks, making me turn toward him.
"Uhh - no one important," I say, shrugging my shoulders. The phone stops vibrating, but seconds later, it begins again. I look at it and see Trevor calling again, making me want to toss the damn phone out the window.
I curse inwardly, closing my eyes and pretending to hit my head with the phone. Daniel looks at me as if I've gone mad, and believe me; I feel like I am going crazy.
He grabs the phone and stops my hand, "wow, baby, don't do that. You'll hurt yourself. Who the hell keeps calling you anyway? It must be important if they keep insisting, don't you think?" he says as he looks at the screen. His jaw clenches, and he finally sees why my frustration.
He sighs irritatingly and swipes the call to answer it. My eyes widen in shock as he puts the phone on speaker and listens in. "You married that asshole, Layla? Really? I thought you said there was nothing between you two, but I guess that was a lie too, huh? I guess it was a good thing I hooked up with your best friend then. You're even a bigger who-"
"I suggest you watch your mouth, doctor Little. You're not speaking to just any woman; you're talking to my wife. And if you don't want me to fly out there and knock your teeth in and beat your ass, you watch that loose tongue of yours. And yes, she married me because, unlike you, I know her worth. You had your chance, and you screwed it, pal. Layla is mine now; get over it! I told you I'd take her away from you one day, and I did. I was right to think low of you. You're nothing but scum. And I better not hear you call her again to try and talk shit to her because I will make sure you pay dearly for it. Got it?" Damn. I looked at Daniel in shock as he cursed Trevor off.

He told him off a few more before hanging up on him and tossing my phone to the back seat. I don't know why, but that was hot. He sounded and looked so sexy defending me from Trevor. I looked at him with my mouth gawked openly. Wait, did I hear correctly, though? He and Trevor exchanged words before? Trevor never mentioned this to me.
He gripped the steering wheel, stepping on the accelerator and getting us home in no time. I was quiet the whole way into the house, mesmerized by what I had just witnessed.
"Layla, baby, close your mouth. And stop looking at me like that; you're creeping me out," he says, making me squint my eyes, close my mouth and cross my arms over my chest. "You were hot back there; you know that?" I say as he sets my stuff and his luggage down by the living room. He looks at me, nods in frustration and walks back to the car, and brings the rest of my stuff inside, including my vast oversize pillow with tiny ladybugs embroidered on one side with a pink daisy.
"When did you and Trevor talk?" I say, making him stop as he slowly puts my last bag down. He fists his hand and turns away. "Daniel! When did you talk to Trev-"
"Last year." he blurts out, sighing and placing his hands on his waist. "When you came to visit your parents. We were having our annual company picnic, remember? I caught him doing something, and it pissed me off. I know you have the worst image of me, but I couldn't just stand around and do nothing about it." my heart felt pained.
I know things are over between Trevor and me, but to realize he had been cheating on me for so long and I was so blind to see makes me so angry with myself. I was so busy trying to avoid Daniel that I failed to see that Trevor was worse.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Would you've believed me?" he yells out, looking at me, annoyed. "Well, yes. No...maybe." I say, crossing my hands and sitting next to him. I'm starting to realize that I was wrong to judge him all this time. Even when I wasn't talking to him and being a complete bitch, he was still looking after me.
"I caught him making out with one of our new models. She was new, and she hadn't noticed he arrived with you, but still. When I saw them, he made it clear you hated me and would never believe me if I told you about it. He tried to threaten me, so I punched him in the face and warned him to treat you right, or things would worsen for him." Daniel rests his elbows on his knees, fiddling with his fingers.
"That explains his swollen jaw and why he said he had gotten hit with a stray baseball," I say as I think back to that day—what a lying cheating-ass.

Daniel chuckles, nodding his head, "Tre next day, I felt terrible for the girl, but if I kept her around, it would just keep reminding me of his words, that you hated me. I hate to admit it, but his words stung. I made a few calls and arranged for her to work for another company. Last I heard, she was working in New York. So I guess it was a good thing I let her go." he sits straight, stretching his hands and yawning.
I rest my body against him, placing my head on his chest. "For the record, I don't hate you," I say, wrapping my hands around his waist. "It was just too painful having you close and not being able to be with you." it was then that I realized... I never got over him. My feelings were only buried behind my ego and stubbornness.
He kisses the top of my head, wrapping his arms around me. "I love you too, ladybug. I always have," he whispers, making my eyes widen. I look up; his eyes close with a painful look on his face. I lean closer, placing a feather-like kiss on his lips and making him smile.

(Next day- my first day of work )
I sit in front of Daniel's desk inside the CEO's office. I have been reading this damn contract repeatedly, and though the terms are simple - but reasonable, I'm still hesitant to sign.
He is busy reading and editing some papers from work and drinking his second cup of coffee. "Ok, but why does it say if failed to comply-"
"Layla, just sign the contract. Or are you looking forward to meeting someone else? I mean, that's pretty much what it means. While married to me, you can not date or see any other guy. Pretty simple!"
"Well, this goes for the two of us," I say, narrowing my eyebrows as I grip the paper over my shoulder.
"Layla, I have no intentions of seeing any other girl. No one interests me, and I'm too busy to date anyone else, believe me."
"Too busy? Then why marry me? To just have someone around to clean the house while you're stuck working?" he sighs, irritated, closing his eyes and putting his pen down.
He places his elbows on the desk and looks at me sternly, "I trust you, Layla. I know you won't do me wrong. Any other girl could simply marry me for my money and to become famous. You don't need nor want either of those." I was going to spit back something sassy, but he was right.
I make good money in my job, and I've been completely independent since 19. The money I have is from working hard, and though I know dad has an extra account where he's placed cash for me to inherit, I have never touched it.
"Fair enough. But why are you so sure you can trust me, huh?" I say playfully, crossing my hands. He's busy reading some papers but nods and chuckles. "You know we must talk to your dad about where he's placing you to work, right? The longer you take, the more you're making him wait," he says, making me sigh.
"Just. Sign. The Contract, Layla!" he says, looking at me, annoyed. "Fine!" I say, signing the contract and sliding it back to him. He grabs the pen, signs it as well, and places it on his copy machine. He puts it in a folder and puts it on his desk.
"I'll have it notarized and hand you your copy soon; now, let's go," he says, grabbing my hand and helping me up.
I walk past him and am ready to go, but he pulls me back, crashing his lips on me. "First, a kiss for my wife," he whispers, sending shivers down my spine. "Danny, dad is waiting," I whisper back, but his warm hand cups my cheek making me feel like I'm melting. "He can wait five more minutes," he says as he walks away, locks the door, and covers the windows.
My heart pounds as I get the idea of where this is going. I'm pulled up on his desk, my skirt up to my waist and panties pulled to the side as he works wonders with his tongue. My face feels hot, my eyes watery, and I'm sure I got his face covered with my wetness. He's good; I'll give you that. So Fucking good! "Holy shit...Dan-" I bite my bottom lip to suppress my moaning. The last I need is for his secretary to realize something kinky is going on in here as his face is between my legs.
He sucks harder on my clit, making my walls clench as I finally come, and my stomach balls up as I feel my orgasm. I can't help but fall flat on his desk, covering my eyes as I'm left breathless and panting. He stands straight, wiping his mouth and fixing his tie.
"Now we can go," he says as he goes to his restroom inside the office quickly and washes off. I clean up after he's out of the bathroom and come back. He's at it again with paperwork but leaves everything when he sees me.
I'm sure my face is still red, and my legs feel weak because he looks at me with contentment in his eyes from what he has done. "Ready, Mrs. Halloway?" he says, making my heart palpitate happily.
"Ready," I reply as I grab his hand, and we walk out together.
