What was it like owning the Devil's heart?

Someone had asked her once.

What was it like being in the Devil's mind?

Someone else had also asked her that, once.

She never knew how to respond or how to even react to these sorts of questions. The press, associates, and even his own men had questioned why she stayed with him or even coped being with him—despite all of his evil acts.

They were never answered by the girl. She, herself, wondered how she came to be with him.

Even after everything they had been through, everything she had gone through—seen. Even after knowing and seeing what he does, all the pain he caused others.

But, the way he treated her was the sole difference between what she saw and what she knew.

To him, she was an angel who resided upon the earth.

The sole being in this universe that kept him sane and alive.

He treated her as if she were the whole universe. Fragile, protected and treasured.

And she knew that.

So, the answer to the questions that were asked about her relationship with evil, was simple.

Love.
