Matteo's pov

After riley put ava to bed i decided to stay a little longer when i got a call that they found a body on my boat .

I rushed to riley's room to let her know im gonna be away for a couple of hours just in case something happens.

I knocked on her door , she opened and i immediately went in and started pacing . This has to be one of my many enemies . Why did i let them come out here ?! If anything happens to my ava and riley im gonna create havoc. I just started investing my time in Riley and if anyone gets in my way their eye sockets will hang .

Riley stopped me from pacing and looked me in the eyes. Fuck everything about her calms me down . She's my nanny , i can't think of her like this but also it's my brain and i can mind fuck her if i want right? No? Okay then

"I promise you go do what you have to do"

"Thank you riley"

"Its my job"

Right its her job... she's my employee

I looked down and raised my brows . Nice underwear riley. I really need to bang someone cause i can't be affected by some woman in her underwear geez .

"Go you have a thing" she basically pushed me out of the room .

"No i wanna stay" it's worth a shot right?

She shut the door in my face and i smirked. Hard to get ...i like it

I went outside and got into my car and we headed to the location .

"Capo" nikolas greeted me as i got out of the car . Nikolas is one of my men.

Translation : over here

We walked onto the boat and a body was laying on the floor . I bent down and saw a 'T' carved into the person's body. I guess Tatiana has some explaining to do . I need to wrap that woman in a bodybag before she hurts my kid , my business or Riley .

I first need to gain her trust so i could figure out how much she really knows.

Translation : we don't know yet

I walked off the boat and got into my car and headed back to the loft .

I took out my phone and saw riley sent me a text and i opened it .

I sent back .

"There are chefs"

I can't let them leave the loft . I know someone is coming after me (when are they not ) and i don't need ava in the middle of this . Especially with Tatiana actively trying to screw me over for some weird reason and it doesn't help that she's threatened by Riley.

She read but didn't resond. I got out of the car and went up to my place.

"Ava? Riley?"

"Papa!" Ava yelled and jumped into my arms .

"Where's riley?"

"Kitchen"

I set ava down and we walked to the kitchen and saw riley watching a show while making something . And she can cook fuck

I always wanted a woman i could cook with.

"What are you doing?"

Ava and i sat down on one of the bar stools .

"Im making chocolate chip cookies"

"Why? i just ordered your food?"

"You can never have too much food matteo"

"Okay then"

I heard ava laugh and saw her staring intensely at the television.

"What are you two watching?"

"Friends"

"What the fuck is that?"

She dramatically let the spoon fall and looked at me wide eyed .

"We're watching from season 1" riley said and ava switched the seasons.

I heard a knock on the door and i got up and went to answer it . I held my gun and opened the door to see nikolas .

"Nikolas!" Ava yelled and ran to hug him .

"ehi ava" nikolas smiled and hugged her back.

Translation : hey ava

Nikolas handed ava the food .

"Thank you nikolas" ava smiled and ran off. Nikolas has been one of my closet men who enjoys going on food runs for ava. All my men have a soft spot for my princesa and would without a doubt die for her.

"capo dopo"

Translation : later boss

I nodded and closed the door .

"Oww!" I heard riley yell and i raced to the kitchen. Fuck

"What?"

"I burned myself" she hissed as she held her hand under water.

I walked over to her and looked at her hand . It's not that bad of a burn . I felt her tense up and i pressed on it .

"Riley" ava said and handed her a cerro .

Translation : band aid.

"Thank you ava" riley smiled and put on the cerro .

"Here's the food that you two so badly wanted" i grabbed the bag from the floor where ava left it and handed it to riley.

"You want some?" She asked and i shook my head. Im not really a fan of fast food but you can win me over with cooked food anytime. I remembered that i had food in the fridge.

I went over to the fridge and pulled out pasta and pizza . You can never go wrong with pasta or pizza and if you don't like pasta you can fuck off.

"Well aren't you fancy" riley teased and i chuckled.

"You should try it sometime"

"You going to cook for me?"

"Depends on what i get in return" i winked making her blush and avoid eye contact.

"We'll just have to see how good the food is then" she smirked and i was taken aback . I didn't think she would keep it going.

"We'll just have to see then"

I warmed up my food and we went and sat in the living room .

"Time to watch friends" riley switched on friends .

"Yay" ava cheered .
