"About twenty years ago, there was an Alpha. He was good and just and ran his pack better than most. The Moon Goddess watches over werewolves, even rouges and one day, while watching his pack, the Alpha did something that made the Moon Goddess fall in love with him.

He had saved a rogue from an alliance pack. The rogue's only crime was trespassing but the other pack didn't know that he wasn't a threat and tried to kill him. The Alpha saved him from imminent death and took him into his pack.

The next day, the Moon Goddess made herself known to the Alpha, who in turn fell in love with her. The Moon Goddess decides who the mates are amongst werewolf relationships and she made it so she was his mate.

Over the next year, they became impossibly close which was taboo among the gods. So when the Moon Goddess discovered she was pregnant, she went into hiding. She broke off her mating to the Alpha and continued to carry out her duties from a secret location which is still unknown. When she gave birth a few months later, she left the child with the Alpha father.

The Alpha tried to be a good father, but he was filled with rage and sorrow. He killed a few members of his own pack, starting with the rogue that started everything. He blamed it all on him. After that, the rest of the pack left and fled in fear and disrespect of the disgraced Alpha.

Five years after being given then child, the Alpha was killed in a rogue attack. The child was thought to be lost to the cruelty of the system of the United States government. Yet, twelve years later, the child turned up closer to home than expected.

The alliances of the disgraced pack had joined together because of a mating between the Alpha of one pack and the soon to be female alpha of the other pack. They became the Mooncrest Alliance Pack and they took in the rest of the abandoned pack that was left without a leader.

The current Alpha of the Mooncrest Alliance pack, which is also known as the MAP for short, is dying and growing weaker as his son gets stronger and prepares to take over the MAP.

You have and alpha's blood running through you as well as the power of the Moon Goddess. You are powerful beyond comprehension and you are starting to come into that power. Have you noticed anything different lately?" Cole and Tara took turns telling the whole story before Cole asked me that question.

It took me a second to answer. I was okay dealing with them being werewolves. Not me. Not to mention my "mother" was the fucking goddess of werewolves.

"Yeah, actually. I thought it was just my imagination but my teeth, nails, and hair all got longer and I think I got stronger," I managed to reply.

"The Moon Goddess has lifted her spell. She will probably transform in a few days to a week," Tara whispered to Cole but I heard it.

"Transform? What do you mean?" I whimpered, panic clear in my voice. Cole and Tara looked shocked that I was able to hear them.

Cole looked at Tara who nodded in approval.

"Most werewolves transform between thirteen and fifteen, but your mother kinda stopped your maturity advancement. That way you would stay as human as possible until other werewolves found you. That way we could explain what was about to happen," Cole responded thoroughly.

"I can't go to school! I can't leave the house!" I started having a mini panic attack.

"What if I kill someone? What if I can't control myself? What if-" I started hyperventilating. Cole came over and picked me up. He sat me on his lap, rocking me back and forth. He brushed his fingers through my hair and kept whispering that it was ok.

After I had calmed back down, Tara finished explaining.

"There are no humans in Mooncrest unless they are mates to a werewolf and fully aware of the situation. The school nurse would be able to help you. And being a werewolf isn't quite like that.

Your wolf has its own personality. It's kind of like having two people inside of you at once. Or maybe just two halves. Your human self is who you are now, your rational self. Your wolf has a different name and typically is in control when in wolf form, your instinctual self.

Once you transform, you will remain in your wolf form for a few hours to get to know your wolf and until your wolf allows you to be back in control and tells you how to go back."
