《The Demon's Little Wolf》THE REASON

After killing those vampires, I made my way away from there. I walked around the confusing hallways with my guards up. They should really provide some maps or at least put some signs for gods sake. I will end up dying before finally knowing where the hell these hallways lead to.
I entered the dining room. Out of nowhere, I got slammed into a wall. "Not again" I grunted as I pushed the vampire off of me. I ran to the dining table and took one of the chairs before using my strength to break it into pieces. I took one of the longer and pointed wood pieces and lunged at the vampire, stabbing him straight in the heart. I watch his pale skin become even more paler and the veins under his eyes turned black as his body went limp. I threw his body on the floor and went out of the room.
I finally made my way to a hallway where there were guards fighting off vampires meaning that the king and his family should also be somewhere near. One of the guards warned me about a vampire coming my way, making others snap their head towards where I was standing. The guards looked at me with wide eyes as I ripped the vampire's heart out of his body.
I saw some of them gulp, probably least expecting me ripping the heart of a vampire out. I am pretty sure I looked like I came from hell as there was blood all over me. Some were dried while others were fresh. The cherry on top was the fact that I was holding the freaking heart of the vampire with an unbothered expression. The blood from the heart dripped from my palms to my wrist and my forearm. My tattoo that I had on my wrist was covered with blood.

I rolled my eyes as they continued fighting. The vampires were now dead.
"Where is the king?" I asked them
"In the study room princess." A guard answered but I did not move. Finally understanding he gave me the directions. Before leaving I said "No need to call me a princess"
After many twists and turns and dead bodies, I found myself in front of the study room. I barged without knocking and I caught an arrow just in time before it went in between my eyes. Judging by the liquid coating it, I would say it was vervain.
I threw the arrow on the ground before facing the guard with a scowl. The room was medium size with shelves on two side of the room filled with hard cover books. The wall opposite the entrance had a huge portrait of the Royal family. Obviously without me.
The picture consisted of my father and mother standing next to each with my father's hand around his mate's waist. They were dressed in fancy clothes and their crowns adorned their heads. He had his usual usual stone cold expression while my mother had a smile on her face. Rayna stood next to my mom with a beautiful dress and crown and was beaming while Ryan stood next to my dad, in a suit with his crown and had a small smile. The picture was in a golden frame.
A big table was placed in the middle of the room with two chairs in front of it and there was a seating area on one side with a coffee table.
My father stood behind the table with blood over his face as well as my brother who I just noticed. My mom, Rayna and Ivory who were standing in the corner of the room, surrounded by guards, did not have blood on them though. I guess guards fought for them.

Wow! What if they don't have guards one day. I wonder if they even fought in their lives, especially Rayna considering she is the daddy's girl and her bitchy princess attitude.
Just before I could speak a guard knocked and came in.
Why did he have to knock when the door was wide open. Cresent commented and I could not agree more.
"We killed the vampires but some of them got away." He looked down in shame.
The king slammed his fists on the table and let out a growl. I wonder if he ever managed to break tables like that. "How could you let them go?"
The guard stayed silent and I held back a scoff. The king dismissed him and turned his attention towards me and eyes me up and down.
"Eww. You are so gross right now." Rayna's annoying voice said.
"Well you see, I did not have guards to babysit me and I had to save myself" I mocked her. She tried to growl at me but it seemed like a cat purring instead. I rolled my eyes and looked my father. "So why am I here?"
Instead of answering my grandmother just popped out of nowhere and spoke. "we need your help."
"Of course you do" I scoffed in disbelief. "And why would you need the help of a weak girl like me?" I used their own words. My grandmother then told me the entire thing going on with the vampires and the war that is approaching.
They really just called me back to help them in a war. Wow what a family I have! I am thinking of siding with vampires and kill them with my own hands
"Grandmother is saying we have a better chance to win if we fight as a family." Ryan spoke
"Family" I muttered but they must have picked it up from their enhanced hearing. "What do I get from this?"
"Anything you want" The king said
"Hmmm sounds tempting"
"One more thing. Don't get your hopes high that we will accept you. We are doing this just because grandmother said it. Otherwise we would never talk to you again" Again bitch Rayna spoke.
"Did you go to werewolf school or bitch school?" She was about to speak but I cut her off. "I do not expect to be accepted in your pathetic family. As for what I want, once this whole war is over, I want anything that is between us to end. You don't know me and I don't know you. And I want it to be officially announced that I will am no longer a princess. Just a normal she wolf." I said in a stern voice. Since they gave me a choice might as well as use it.
They seemed to be taken aback by my demand, probably expecting me to ask for money or beg them to take me back. Finally after contemplating, my father agreed.
"I'll take your leave then, King" I spun on my heels and made my way to the door before the voice of the queen stopped me in my tracks.
"We will be having a meeting with people who could be our allies tomorrow. Be there on time and wear something good so as not to embarrass us. In front of everyone"
That bitch
I ignored the last part and muttered a yes before going back to my room and continue with the night.

There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him.
