《My Vampire Ex》Boys & their Toys

The maid walked further into the house. Jared walked in front and Zach and I followed. "I'm so sorry, love. I should have protected you better," he whispered. His head hung in shame.
I shook my head, "it's not your fault. This is my life. I've accepted that, sir." I whispered back. Zach had surprised me. I thought he was just some asshole, but he actually cared about my well-being. I should have trusted him more. I should have given him a chance.
We had barely entered the main hall when Jared abruptly stopped and turned to face me. "I almost forgot. You aren't properly dressed. No wonder why Finnigan almost lost you twice. Turn around." I did as he said. My nose throbbed and the blood had started draining down the back of my throat. All I tasted was iron. I didn't want anymore fights.
Jared grabbed both of my arms and pushed them together behind my back. I felt shackles locked tight around my wrists. He spun me back around and fished the same black gag that he had brought Tanner the night of his birthday out of his pocket. I opened my mouth without him having to say anything. I knew the drill.
He hesitated bringing it toward me, "Wow. I guess you learned something after all." He spun me back around and tied the ribbon behind my head.
"Is all that necessary? Why would she try to run in a house full of vampires?" Zach spat behind us.
Jared held out a plastic shock collar. "Of course it's necessary. It's her uniform. She will wear it daily, including this shock collar. At least, until Tanner can trust her again." He fascinated the black plastic around my neck. It pressed against the now bruised bite mark that Finnigan had made earlier. On the bright side, Tanner couldn't see the mark now. I doubt he would like the fact that other people had bitten my neck. "Should we try it out?" Jared held up a pocket sized remote and waved it in front of me.

I shook my head. I was being so good. Why couldn't he leave me be?
"If we didn't have to meet with Christopher, I would. Later though... you and I will have some fun." Jared winked at me and I winced. He was beyond revolting. There was no running now, though. Not unless I wanted to fry my brains.
We continued down the hallway and into the living room; just in time for Jared to answer Mr. McClain. "Where's Jessica?"
"Right here, Mr. McClain." He pushed me in front of him and I stumbled forward.
The three McClain's turned to see us in the door way.
"Jessica." All three of them said at once.
My eyes immediately went to Finnigan. Every muscle in his body looked tense. He was angry about something. Was it me?
I didn't even realize Tanner speed to stand next to me until he touched my face. "What happened to you? Your nose is so swollen. So bloody..." Tanner's last sentence trailed off. I watched in horror as his canine teeth elongated and his grip on my chin tightened. He cocked my head to the side and stared at my neck.
But just as soon as Tanner was beside me, he was gone. Finnigan had used his speed and shoved Tanner against the wall. He held them there with his forearm against Tanner's throat.
"What the fuck is wrong with you today! Let go of me!" Tanner growled.
"You can't drink from her. You've starved yourself for too long. You'll kill her Tanner." Tanner struggled in Finnigan's grip, but he remained stoic. Good God, he's strong.
"Why the fuck do you care!? You have no say in what I do to her!" Tanner yelled back.
I was shocked that Christopher was letting his sons go at it. I glanced back at the couch, but realized he had disappeared in all the commotion.

"Leave it to you to slut your way into Finnigan's heart too." Jared whispered into my ear. I shook my head. I had done no such thing. I was as professional as I could have been the entire week. Finnigan didn't have feelings for me, did he? I mean, he cares, but that's because he actually has some sort of humanity left.
Jared sped to where the two boys were and shoved Finnigan. It was enough of a surprise to knock him off balance, making Tanner able to wiggle free of his grasp. Jared forced Finnigan's arms back, locking in him a Full Nelson.
Tanner stood in front of them, anger emanating from him. "Jessica, come here." He ordered.
I took a step forward. "Jess don't," Finnigan warned in protest. From behind me Zach grabbed onto one of my shackled arms. Not this again.
"If you stop her it'll be a repeat of earlier. That collar can give her quite a shock," Jared warned.
I looked back at Zach, his expression looked confused and defeated now. He still blamed himself for what happened earlier. I couldn't let him feel like this was his fault too. I shook out of his grip and continued to walk forward.
I stood next to Tanner, but he quickly pulled me in front of him. Finnigan and I were face to face now. Tanner's breath blew on my neck and I shivered. He gripped the shock collar and ripped it off, breaking it in two and tossing it to the ground. "I'll do whatever the fuck I want with my girl," his voice was low and exact.
"Tanner I'm telling you, you won't be able to stop. Your hunger mixed with her Pureblood will make it impossible." Finnigan warned again. I stared down, but I could feel his eyes still on me. I didn't want to see him like this. This was all my fault. I'm so sorry Finn.
Jared's grip tightened on Finnigan. "She a worthless human. If you want to kill her Tanner, dude just do it."
Tanner's lips went to my neck. I moved my head to the clean side out of habit. I hated every part of this but I needed to obey. Finnigan taught me better and I needed to show everyone that.
"Stop!" Chrisopher's voice echoed through the room. "Everyone leave with the exception of Jessica."

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
