《Unstable ▾ a.s》2{first day}

The summer vacation had come to an end and it was time for a new term. Everyone was excited to see what new staff member would be helping them succeed through high school. Nezu stood in front of the school with a few members of staff— Present Mic, Midnight, Hound Dog, Aizawa and the new hero herself.
Students were walking into the school from the dorms, all asking about the new pro. Most were gathered in groups to try and figure out who the pro hero was. (Y/n)'s hero costume sporting different colored flames for each one burned by her alters, paired with black over the knee boots, no mask, but her hair was tied back in a ponytail.
"Isn't she that (Nationality) hero?" "Yeah, that's Fiammetta." "What's she doing here?" Students mumbled as the new counselor was giving a debriefing by the pro hero teachers. Soon the bell rang for students to make their way to their classroom. "Do you still remember U.A's layout?" Nezu asked the new member of staff
"Am I supposed too?" She joked
"Hound Dog, please show Fiammetta around the campus and her office, as well as each department and its classrooms, but after our opening ceremony." Nezu smiled as the Hound hero agreed and the teachers walked to a large crowd of students waiting for the opening ceremony to start.
"Old high school crush coming back to you, Eraser?" Midnight whispered to Aizawa
"No," Eraserhead said as he continued walking.
Nezu greeted the students and gave his opening talk about keeping your hair/fur nice and clean as well as the fact All Might lost his power. He then walked off the stage and Hound Dog went up to the mic and seemed pissed as no one understood what he said until Vlad King translated it and the student went back to their homeroom class.
Aizawa enjoyed the quiet walk to his classroom. Walking into the classroom, he hated. But it was the same as any other day. The students sat quietly as Aizawa explained what would happen this term. The students asked questions about their new counselor and the work studies their principal mentioned at the opening ceremony.
Aizawa answered then as best he could before the homeroom ended. Aizawa apologized to Present Mic, who was waiting outside the door. Aizawa walked out of the class and down the hall. He had time before teaching the hero lessons to get some work done or take a nap.
"Why is it that your homeroom class always gets in the most trouble?" He looked up to see (Y/n) walking towards him. He stopped his walk as she approached him
"Wish I knew the answer to that question," he simply answered looking at the heroine. "Take it Hound Dog showed you all around campus."
"Yeah. I was sitting in my office looking over the student's files to see what I was dealing with then I was here," She said
"You haven't been here an hour yet and you've already had a switch."
"I don't control when it happens, it just does."
Aizawa forgot how much he missed talking with you about things. Whether it be about heroing, work, or just random things. You two and Present Mic spent hours talking back when you were an exchange student.

"You seem lost in thought there Eraser, you okay?" The heroine asked
"I'm fine. You should get back to work, I'll see you around," with that, Aizawa walked away to do his own thing.
(Y/n) sighed as he walked away. "What are you hiding this time, Aizawa."
———
Lunch had started and students filled in to get their food from Lunch Rush. Everyone was a bit more energetic than usual. Whether everyone was having a good day or it was with the fact they had a new staff member on campus. Either way, everyone was enjoying the day. The staff was doing their own thing during lunch.
Present Mic burst into his cousin's office, that was something she was going to have to get used too. "Yes, Hizashi?" She asked.
"Who am I speaking with first of all?" The blonde hero asked, in return, he got a hand holding a blue flame, no smoke. "Alright," he smiled taking a seat across from her.
"What do you want?" She asked extinguishing the flame as she continued looking over student profiles.
"Is it wrong to have lunch with my cousin? Like the days we were students, heroes in training."
"You mocked Shota and I constantly during lunch when I was here as an exchange student."
"I was a damn matchmaker and you both know it. Hell, I bet this time around I can get you two together."
"I love you Hizashi, but stay out of my love life."
"Midnight would agree with me. She'd actually be wiser than me. She'd try to get you into Aizawa—"
"I don't want you to bring my sex life into this either."
The door to the office slid open revealing the erasure herl himself, "Speak of the devil." (Y/n) muttered
"Aizawa! My man! We were just talking about you!" Mic greeted his friend
"Mic, leave. I need to talk to (L/n)," Aizawa said as he stepped into the room.
Present Mic smiled at his cousin before walking out and closing the door, leaving the two heroes alone. "What did you need Aizawa?" She asked setting a student's file down.
"Have you gone through the files of Class 1-A?" He questioned
"Yes, why?" She questioned him
"Good. I need your help. I'm putting them through a battle training, your quirk could give them a glimpse at what they can expect further down the line."
"These kids have already fought villains. I doubt what I can do is going to train them for further down the line."
"They've fought villains from here. You're an outside source. Give them an experience of what (Nationality) heroes feel when fighting their villains."
"Are you asking me to go full force on them or minimize my attacks?" She had the fearful look on her face.
"You're not All Might. Don't push them so hard."
"Okay. I'll help," She told him
"Meet us at training ground beta, I'm not telling them who their fighting, so surprise them." And with that, Aizawa walked out to go back to his classroom. As the bell rang he walked in, he told the class to suit up and meet at ground beta. He was most likely going to enjoy the exercise.

Aizawa was waiting for everyone down at the teaching ground. Soon enough, they had all filed in with their costumes on, "Today's training is going to be a bit different. Sometimes, small groups of heroes can't defeat villains. You'll all be working together to find the villain and take them out. One of the staff members will be playing the part of the villain while I observe you. Work together, don't disappoint me. Questions?" Multiple hands shot up, "Yaoyorozu."
"What staff member will we be fighting?"
"You'll see soon," Aizawa smirked as all the other hands went down. He walked away and let them stay as he viewed the training with Recovery Girl.
"Are you sure about this?" She asked him
"I trust her," was all he said as the students walked in groups. Scanning the area looking for the 'villain'.
Without warning, pipes flew towards the class. Everyone had different reactions. "What teacher here can control metals?!" Kaminari asked
"None that we know, we've fought most of them!" Kirishima replied
A female voice laughed as a stream of fire wrapped around Kirishima's legs and pulled him up and hung him up from a lamp post.
"Aizawa-sensei has us fighting Fiammetta?!" Mineta questioned, obviously scared
"You catch on quick," a blast of blue flame came towards them, only to be met with ice. "I expected more from class 1-A."
Metal went thrown the ice. "She has two quirks, like Todoroki. A fire quirk and a metal manipulation quirk." Asui said
"Then what do we do? we're in a city, metals everywhere, and the fire isn't something we can avoid!" Kirishima pointed out
"She's not burning a normal flame either, it's complete combustion. She's burning pure Oxygen." Todoroki said as the ice wall shattered
"Get rid of the oxygen then!" Mineta yelled, almost crying, like every other fight
"Aizawa-sensei said to take her out, not kill her!" Iida yelled at the perverted kid
"Isn't there a way to temporarily shut off someone's oxygen supply?!" Kirishima finally got down from the post, to which he got his head on the cement.
"We're not Bakugo!" Mina yelled at the hardening hero in training
"You guys are really bad at using your quirks together," the pro hero said
"She's right, not many of us have used our quirks or even tried defending or attacking!" Jirou said
"We're grouped together, we can't use our quirks full potential like this. We need to split!" Uraraka yelled. The message was received as the whole close. Easily, with them split up, they could easily stop her. "They've fought villains from here. You're an outside source. Give them an experience of what (Nationality) heroes feel when fighting their villains."
"Goddamnit Aizawa," she muttered before handing out her hands as different colors of flames shot out. The students were confused as all hell, as the fires took human shape.
"This must be a super move of hers!" Sero yelled
The fire figures rushed the pros in training, quickly battle was engaged. It was a surprise that none of the surrounding buildings had caught on fire. None of the fire figures and taken any hits, but the kids did. (Y/n) held her hand out again at and the figures were pulled back from battle.
Aizawa was watching the whole thing. He knew she wasn't holding back at all, yet she sounded scared earlier when he asked her to help him. He knew it was because she didn't want to switch in the middle of the battle and hurt the kids she was hired to protect and help.
And he saw as soon as the switch happened, he was running to stop it before it got worse. The students had no idea what was happening. Suddenly, their counselor was producing a different flame and her reaction time had increased. Meaning they had less time to react.
"All of you stand down!" Aizawa yelled at his students as his capture weapon went straight towards the heroine. She dodged if so easily. The students had stopped fighting and stood by and watched. The new staff member shot her hand out, but nothing followed the action. Her quirk was erased. "Get back to the main building and get Present Mic, if you're injured, go see recovery girl in the viewing room." He ordered as the students followed the order, some had to be forced to retreat.
"You're lying to them Aizawa. And they're going to figure everything out sooner or later," the alter said as the capture weapon wrapped around them.
"Come back, (F/n)." Was all he said before the girls' eyes changed back. She was more calm and relaxed before she looked around. Noticing the kids were gone and surroundings were caught on fire. Aizawa released the capture weapon and stopped his quirk as (Y/n) feel to her knees, holding her head in her hands as she realized what happened. Aizawa quickly ran over to her and pulled her into an embrace.
He'd been through this before. She'd be in an intense battle, she'd be threatened and she'd switch. She wouldn't know which one, but she'd put the pieces together to gather what happened. Sometimes they were right sometimes they were wrong. He'd explain it to her later to fill in the gap in her memory, but right now she didn't need to hear what happened. She needed someone.
Usually, it would be Mic there to calm her during battles or any family member. But right now, Aizawa was the only person around and he didn't care if anyone else saw. He knew that Present Mic and Midnight were right. While he would never admit it to either of them or anyone for that matter, his old high school crush was back and those feelings had grown with him.

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

Drakon the Necrolord v2
Rewrite of my novel Drakon the Necrolord. 100 thousand years ago the system apocalypse began and all of the known worlds with sentient life in the universe got merged together forming a super planet. Orcs elves humans dwarves and hundreds of other species now living on one planet. These are the memoirs of one of them. Written with the help of the AI in his head and a little help from his friends. As a note: I have tons of worldbuilding done (probably way more than needed, as that was why the rewrites took so long. Depending on the reception here I might do more stories in the same universe and/or build a wiki with all my worldbuilding stuff.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.
