"Solana you have a visitor."
Solana slightly smiled, and finished the ends of her braids. She found that she liked braiding her hair into fishtails, so she would usually braid them and take down.
"Can I get a twisty?" She asked the nurse, so that she could put her braids into one ponytail.
"No unfortunately."
Solana rolled her eyes and grabbed her journal that Heaven had bought her. Writing down her thoughts and how she was feeling helped her get through bad days. She just hated having to write with someone in the room.
Solana was still a high risk patient, so she wasn't allowed to be around any sharp objects such as pens by herself.
She followed the nurse to the private visitation room and saw Heaven sitting down at the table, while the kids ran around the room chasing each other.
"Hi boo, how are you?" Heaven smiled.
Solana took a seat across from her and opened her journal. "I think I'm doing better, see I write when I'm sad or angry. I'm almost out of paper." She chuckled at the last part.
"I'm glad that you found a coping mechanism. I love the braids, did you do them?"
"Yeah, I still need more practice but I figured that I'd teach myself how to do hair until I get out of here." Solana nodded.
"So could you see yourself doing hair in the future?" Heaven asked, admiring the neatness of the braids.
"I'm not sure, I'm not that good." Solana chuckled.
"Girl those look good as hell. Plus we can get you in a cosmetology school and they can teach you everything you need to know." Heaven replied.
"Yeah maybe." Solana mumbled.
"What's wrong?" Heaven frowned, noticing the mood change.
"I'm scared to be around people, how am I gonna be able to do people's hair? They'll think I'm a idiot." Solana sighed.
"No they won't. Besides, you can practice on me and Nevaeh and even one of my friends, until you think you're ready. There's no rush Solana." Heaven responded.
"Stop it papa..Mama!" Nevaeh shouted
Daloni was laughing while he sat on Nevaeh's chest, hitting her in the forehead. Nevaeh had tripped him up first, so he was getting revenge.
"Papa, go to timeout!" Heaven yelled, pointing to a corner, with a stern look on her face.
"I sorry." Daloni shook his head, getting off of Nevaeh now trying to help her up so he wouldn't be in trouble.
"Nope, timeout until we leave." Heaven said, pointing to the corner.
"Ha hit first." Daloni whined, jumping up and down.
"You hit him first Vae?" Heaven asked.
"I tripped him, bu—Aht both of y'all go to a corner." Heaven cut Nevaeh off, already knowing that the little girl was about to have an excuse.
Daloni stomped to a corner, with his arms across his chest huffing and puffing. Nevaeh skipped to the corner, without a care in the world.
"They're so adorable." Solana chuckled, watching the two kids stick their tongues out at each other.
"Girl they is bad as hell. They'll antagonize each other and then get mad when one of them get serious. Five minutes later they gone be wanting to play together again." Heaven shook her head.
"I think that's just their way of loving each other."

Solana giggled.
"Are you guys still going to Disney World?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm praying that they be on their best behavior, but they don't even act right when we take them to the store." Heaven scoffed.
"I've never been to Disney, I hope you guys have fun." Solana nodded, tucking one of her braids out of her face.
"You could come with us." Heaven suggested
"Nah I'll pass. Besides who knows when I'll be released." Solana chuckled, waving Heaven off.
Before Heaven could respond a buzzer went off. "Time's up!" The nurse buzzed in, through a intercom.
Solana's mood instantly changed making her sad. She quickly put a smile on her face when Heaven stood up. "Thanks for coming." She smiled.
"You know I got you baby. Soon you'll be coming home." Heaven nodded, noticing Solana's mood dimmer. She wished she could break Solana out, but it was her idea in the first place for Solana to be there. She didn't regret her decision, because Solana was starting to get better.
"Let's go my headaches." Heaven waved her arm to the kids.
"See you later." Nevaeh waved at Solana. Solana waved back and followed the lady back to her room.
"Mommy tired." Daloni yawned, reaching to be picked up. Heaven shook her head, picking him up and walking to catch up with Nevaeh.
~
"I'm sorry boo, who keep inviting you?" Heaven giggled at Cadence who was sitting across from her and Jayda.
"Um this my family, I'm in the family group chat, what about you?" Cadence rolled her neck.
Jayda made a mental note to remove Cadence later. She was having another get together for Angel's pre-birthday. She invited the whole family, but had no intentions for Cadence to come.
"Okay boo." Heaven chuckled. Cadence was not worth her energy today, she didn't want to ruin Angel's birthday either, so she was going to keep her mouth shut out of respect.
Heaven looked down feeling Daloni move. He was taking a nap, and he wasn't in the best of mood. She adjusted the mask on his face making sure it covered his nose and mouth.
"Mama, can papa come play?" Nevaeh ran in the house, out of breath with her best friend Angel not to far behind.
"Not right now, he's sleeping." Heaven replied.
"Damn so you got two kids now?" Cadence mumbled.
"Jayda I'm about to go, out of respect for you and Angel, this bitch keep trying me." Heaven said, feeling her temper rise.
"No you don't have to go, she can leave. Hold on." Jayda replied.
"Cadence you gone either have to shut all that up or leave sweetie." Jayda mentioned, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Damn I thought we was best friends, I guess she just everybody replacement." Cadence frowned.
Nevaeh sat down next to Heaven, feeling herself getting sleepy as well. Zylin had also just walked in with Anthony and a couple of cousins, feeling the tension.
"Why the air so thick?" Anthony chuckled.
"Everybody acting funny at this point. First it was Zylin, now it's Jayda. Y'all act like this girl a whole celebrity. We all used to be close as fuck, I'm just tryna see some." Cadence shrugged.
"Bitch what's wrong? Like really why it's so much pressure?" Heaven asked, as her leg started bouncing.

"Ask yo man sis." Cadence smirked.
Heaven snapped her neck in Zylin's direction, waiting for him to explain. The room was now silent, as everybody was waiting to hear what was going on.
"Mama that girl drunk. I don't know what she talking about." Zylin chuckled, rubbing his hands through his waves.
"I'm not drunk, since you scared to tell her, I will. Me and Zylin was in a whole relationship, before your ass came around. He can sit up here all day and long and act like he don't remember, but he still want me. When y'all was in the li talking stage, he was still fucking me." Cadence stated, surprising everyone in the room.
"Oh and let's not forget that he was just over my house saying how you put his family in danger, and how he didn't know if he wanted to be with you." Cadence added.
Heaven's hand started twitching making Daloni squirm. She looked at Zylin who just stood there rubbing his head. "Do the cat got your motherfuckin tongue?" She snapped, making everyone in the room jump.
"I don't fuck with that girl man. She just don't want us to be together." Zylin replied.
Nevaeh just sat next to Heaven, confused to what all of the adults were talking about. The only thing she could comprehend was that Heaven was heated.
Cadence chuckled waving Zylin off. "So we ain't fuck when y'all was in the talking stage?" She asked.
"And I can prove that you was just at my house dude."
"Man this bitch." Zylin mumbled.
"Then you was venting to her about our relationship, out of all people you went to someone who you used to fuck?" Heaven scoffed.
"It wasn't even like that." Zylin shook his head.
"Jayda did you know?" Heaven asked, turning her head to Jayda who was confused just like the rest of the cousins. Nobody knew that Cadence and Zylin hooked up.
"No I didn't know." Jayda replied, shaking her head.
"So you his godsister, and her li best friend and you telling me you didn't know they was hooking up?" Heaven scoffed.
"Heaven I'm telling you I didn't know." Jayda reassured her.
"Can we talk without everyone in our business?" Zylin asked, making his way towards Heaven.
"Nigga don't come near me. You a liar. At this point I don't trust nobody. It's not even the fact that y'all was fucking around, I literally just asked yo dumb ass yesterday if y'all had history, and you said no. Then you over here talking to this bitch about our relationship like she our counselor!" Heaven snapped, standing up laying Daloni on her shoulder, throwing her jacket over his head.
"So you not even gone let me explain?" Zylin asked.
"Nigga fuck yo explanation, I gave you that chance yesterday. You got me looking dumb as fuck. I don't want nothing to do with you real shit." Heaven said.
"Heaven let me—No I don't need nobody to walk me out Jayda. I feel like your ass knew, but it's all cool!" Heaven yelled, interrupting Jayda.
"I told you I didn't know!" Jayda shouted back.
"Mama where you going?" Nevaeh frowned, jogging towards Heaven who was standing at the door.
"Home, you staying with your dad tonight, I'll see you later babe." Heaven replied, trying not to take her anger out on the little girl.
"Why can't I go with you?" Nevaeh pouted.
"Not right now Vaeh." Heaven sighed.
"Heaven, mane let me explain." Zylin groaned.
"Fuck you. We done." Heaven shrugged. "Jayda you can delete my number too." She added, opening the front door, and then closing it.
"Heaven, where is you going? You really gone let that bitch break us up?" Zylin asked, following Heaven to her car.
"It's not even about the fact that y'all hooked up. I asked you Zy, I fucking asked you if you had any old dealings with her, you said no she just Jayda friend. Let me see your phone." Heaven replied.
Zylin smacked his lips. "For what?"
"Don't worry about it. Real shit I don't want no dealings with nobody in that house." Heaven responded, buckling Daloni in his booster seat.
"What about Dooda?" Zylin asked.
"You can explain to her whatever you want to tell her. She got a iPad if she want to see me or talk to me, she can facetime me through there. Other than that don't call or text me Zy." Heaven said, getting in the car.
As soon as Zylin was about to say something, Cadence came out the house smirking. Heaven looked back at her and shook her head. She was not about to fight Cadence right now, especially when she had Daloni, so instead she pulled off.
"Mommy." Daloni whined, followed by a loud cough.
"I'm sorry papa." Heaven sighed, slowing the car down. She had to think of all of the happy memories with Daloni to calm herself down.
She quickly wiped the tear that fell down her cheek and focused on the road. "I gotta get out of Chicago." She whispered to herself, stopping at a red light.

hey loves
sorry about the MIA yesterday, I had to catch up on some work. Where my college students at, check in!
I got y'all on some updates today though, just be patient...
Okay so we got another scene with our girl Solana..how do y'all think she's doing mentally?
I'm honestly proud of her, she found some positive coping mechanisms that she can use when she's feeling down.
Y'all think enrolling Solana in a cosmetology school would be good for her? How y'all feel about that?
Sadly Solana will probably deal with social anxiety and many other disorders, yall think she should let that stop her from doing something she's good at?
The kids are bad as hell, who y'all think worse Daloni or Nevaeh?
Y'all think Solana is ready mentally to be discharged?
So let's shift gears for a minute.
Let me remind y'all that Cadence was the same girl who was commenting heart eyes under Zylin picture, and who made the slick comment about Daloni. The same girl who had the low bank account, also Jayda "best friend"
So Cadence finally spilt the beans about her and Zylin, how y'all feeling about that?
What's y'all thoughts on Zylin and how he tried to beat around the subject?
Does Heaven have a right to be mad?
How y'all feel about Heaven snapping at Jayda? Y'all think Jayda knew?
Y'all think Heaven still gone be there for Nevaeh??
How y'all feel about that last comment about her moving out of Chicago? Y'all think she will do it?
vote and comment pls!!

That said, there is meaning and significance to the title, except that it will be unveiled only much later into the story. Magical elements and the like will not be a factor in most of the story until the very end. tl;dr: This is not fantasy, magic doesn't play a role in the story. --- Updates: Will try to post a chapter once every 2 days PS. This is my first novel so there might be several issues in various aspects which I might not notice so comments are highly appreciated. --- This is more to add pressure to myself rather than anything else... but anyways the story is now part of the pledge!
