"So, no camp today?" Sarayah asked as she and Ailani sat at the kitchen table doing some of the work in her spring break packet.

"No, not today baby. We're going to Dave & busters with Ken and Matt. That's okay?" Lani asked, scanning over her reading problems. Usually, she would go to daycare all day for spring break camp that they have but today was the day Matthias and Lani were going to tell them about their new relationship.

Neither one of them likes to keep things from their children for too long especially when their relationship will affect them too. They were going to be around each other a lot more now and not just because of playdates anymore.

They wanted both Sarayah and Kennedi to be comfortable with this. Lani didn't think they would be uncomfortable but still wanted to be sure.

Lani and Bari had an agreement that they weren't going to introduce Rayah until they knew for sure about the relationship. Lani was sure about Matt if she was being honest especially with the level of communication they have together.

Since Rayah has been around Matt multiple times, even spent a night at his house a couple of times, they didn't have to do the whole introductions.

"Yeah! I haven't seen Matt in sooo long" She said, all dramatic. Lani chuckled "You just saw him yesterday jellybean," She said, grabbing a pen to sign her signature at the bottom of the paper to say she checked it.

"Nooo, He just waved when we were leaving. That's not the same mommy" She shook her head. Lani chuckled, giving her back the packet so she could put it in her folder.

"You really like Matt huh?" Lani asked. She didn't want to say it out loud but Sarayah's opinion on who she is dating was very important to her. If she didn't like you then there wasn't a future in her eyes with the person.

"Yes. He's really nice and he bought me the whole baby mouse series like Ken" She smiled, putting her work up then in her bookbag.

Ailani smiled, anytime Rayah was smiling, it made her happy. She was so scared that she was going to turn out like her mother but just seeing her baby happy shows that she isn't.

"That was very nice of him mama, let's go get ready," She said, standing up from the chair. Lani walked down to Sarayah's room first, usually doesn't need help getting ready but she does need help when it comes to finding something to wear.

"Mommy, can I stay with you this weekend?" Rayah asked while watching Lani go into her closet.

"You don't want to go to your daddies?" Lani asked, pulling out a pink t-shirt and some jeans for her.

"No," She replied, smiling at herself in her mirror.

"Why not? Is everything okay when you are over there?" Lani asked, eyeing her a little. She didn't mind having her stay with her but she just had to ask.

"Yes, but we don't spend enough time together" She turned around and frowned.

Lani raised her brow "You don't think we spend enough time with each other? I'm sorry jellybean" She frowned. Rayah was very clingy when it came to Ailani. She always wanted to be around her or with her.

"It's okay mommy but can you talk to daddy so I can stay with you?" She smiled.

"I'll talk to him later today about it. We can have a girl's weekend, just me and you okay?" She smiled, laying her clothes out on the bed.

"Okay," She squealed.

"Thank you," Ailani said to the man who held the door for both her and Rayah as they walked into Dave & Busters. He smirked at her "No problem lil mama" He said.

Ailani held a tight grip on Rayah's hand while walking to the restaurant part of the place. Matthias was already there and told her they'll be waiting over there for them.

Lani scanned the area until her eyes landed on Kennedi and Matthias who were sitting at the table fussing.

"Daddy no! You can't do that," Kennedi huffed, folding her arms.

"Mami, you not gon' ever get yo' tablet back. Keep playin' wit' me" He said strently, Lani's eyes widened as they approached the table.

Kennedi looked sad until she saw Lani and Rayah "Hi Lani!" She jumped out of her seat and hugged her legs. "Hey Mami, what did you do?" She asked as Kennedi hugged Rayah.

"I was talking back again" She mumbled.

Lani shook her head "We gonna keep working on that" She told her. Kennedi reminded her a lot of her when she was younger. She was angry all the time or just had a bad attitude for no reason.

Kennedi was very quick at the mouth at times a child shouldn't be. Lani was trying to help her through that because it wasn't fun always getting fussed at because of your attitude and mouth. A lot of people didn't understand but not having your mother in your life really affects you badly, more than some may show.

Kennedi looked at Matthias who was already blankly looking at her "I'm sorry" She said and tried to hug him but he mushed her head away from him.

"Chop it up wit' God," He said, Kennedi sighed and sat back down.

Matthias smirked at Lani who just looked out somewhere else while she and Rayah sat down. She badly wanted to kiss him but she couldn't at the moment.

"Can we eat? I'm hungry" Rayah shook her head, picking up the menu. Lani chuckled, leaning over to see what was on the menu until her phone with off.

Ailani sucked her teeth and looked up at him. He was mugging her, making her chuckle. She put it on him now he didn't know how to act.

They decided to eat first before playing games since Rayah kept complaining about being hungry. The server came and took their drink and food orders before leaving them.

Ailani nodded her head at Matthias for him to speak so they could get this talk over with. "So I heard y'all been callin' us lonely" He started.

"You told him," Rayah giggled at Kennedi. "I was just asking when he was going to stop being lonely," Ken giggled.

"Well I got a girlfriend now so I ain't lonely anymore"

"And I got a boyfriend so we both aren't lonely anymore" Lani chuckled at the confusion on their faces.

"You wanna meet her?" Matthias asked, Kennedi curled her lip up "No" She looked at him funny.

Lani choked on her water "Dang Mami, I thought you liked me" She put her hand on her chest. "I do! but what does that have to do with my dad's girlfriend?" She tilted her head to the same looking confused.

"Is she ugly? She can't sit with us if she is ugly" Sarayah scrunched up her face, Kennedi nodded in agreement.

"No, I think Lani is really pretty" He smirked at Lani, making her blush. Sarayah gasped and covered her mouth "My mommy is your girlfriend?!" She asked excitedly.

He laughed and nodded. Both of their eyes lit up "Our wish workkkkeddd" They both squealed causing Lani and Matthias to look at them in confusion.

"What wish?" Lani asked, looking between the both of them.

"Wellll, when we went to the zoo last month, there was a wishing well," Sarayah said. "Our teacher said you use a coin and make a wish then forget about it so it can really happen" Kennedi explained.

"We wanted to be sisters and wanted y'all together so we made the wish" Rayah smiled and hugged Lani who was just shaking her head.

"Wow, so y'all was plotting on us" Matthias chuckled. "What's plotting?" Kennedi asked.

"P-L-O-T-T-I-N-G, It means y'all were making secret plans on us" He explained, rubbing her hair since it was sticking up.

Lani smiled, she thought that was so smart how he always spelled out words and gave her the definition when she didn't know them. She was going to start doing that with Rayah to boost up her vocabulary.

"Y'all do know y'all can be sisters without us being together right?" Lani asked.

They looked at each other like they didn't know that "Oh, well y'all can break up now" Kennedi smiled.

"No," Matthias said quickly, Lani started cracking up at him.

Ailani sighed loudly while Matthias sat up against the headboard next to her, in the bed. After a very eventful day, the girls asked if they could all have a sleepover together.

They decided to do it at Matthias' house since he was a bit closer to the daycare and was going to drop them off in the morning since he had to be to work earlier than Ailani.

Matthias was happy about how good today went, this was the main part of their relationship. He knew it wasn't going to be that big of a part since how much Kennedi always asked him when he was going to ask Lani on a date. He was just glad everything went smoothly and the girls were happy.

He heard Ailani suck her teeth while he was concentrating on emailing employees back "I'm finna go home" She grumbled.

He snapped his head towards her from looking at his computer. She was starting to get up while mumbling things under her breath "Chill out and lay down" He pushed her back down with his hand.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked.

"That's what's wrong with me" She pointed to his MacBook in his lap "You've been on it since I got here" She frowned.

He sighed "Okay lemme finish this last one aight?" He said, leaning down to kiss her but she put her hand up. "Really Ailani?" He sucked his teeth.

She just laid down and turned her back towards him. He sighed and finished up the last email before closing his computer. I'm all honestly, Matthias never took off today, he just pushed everything back.

Sometimes, he didn't know how extreme of a work alcoholic he was. He always worked hard to get where he was today. He also overworked himself but he'll never say it out loud.

He put his computer in his bag before turning the lights off. He got back into the bed and moved closer to Lani but she pushed him away from her.

Matthias wished someone told him about the hundred million attitudes she caught a day. It's always the ones that are nice all the time with the worst attitudes.

"Baby" He turned her over onto her back and she was mugging him. "You're mad but I ain' got no kiss all day" He playfully mugged her.

"I'm not mad, I just want some attention" She rolled her eyes.

"Then use your mouth and say that then," He said then pecked her lips a few times before she deepened the kiss. She put both hands on the sides of her face while he stuck his tongue into her mouth.

"Mm," She hummed in satisfaction when he began to grip her ass after he slid his hand inside her shorts.

"Mmm, no. We can't." Lani pulled away from the heated kiss.

"Why not? These walls thick ass hell" He smirked, rubbing her bare ass.

"Oh, you just be havin' all types of people in this bed? Get off me" She grumbled, popping his hand. "Should've stayed my ass at home. Nasty ass" She mugged him.

He started laughing "It was years ago, you are the only one I had in my bed mama," He said, watching her trying to act like she was melting right there.

"Good, if you try and leave me I'll kill you" She smiled sweetly before pecking his lips then she rubbed their noses together.

"Oh hell nah," Matthias said making her bust out laughing but it wasn't a regular laugh. He could tell she was dead ass serious.
