"My name is Zara Collins, I recieved a call from a detective Walker he wanted me to come to the station."
"Yes ma'am, here he is now."
"Ms. Collins? I'm detective Walker I wanted to talk to you about Michael O'Connor."
"Yes, Did you get him?"
"We did but we had to let him go."
"Why did he get a get out of jail free card or something?"
"Actually ma'am he said that you attacked him, because he broke off your relationship."
"So I guess this bruise on my face just miraculously appeared and we never had a relationship. We were just friends who went out a couple of times, he wanted something more not me."
"Ma'am I've been on the job for a long time and I usually can tell when someone is lying and to be honest I don't believe the guy. Now he assured me he was leavning town but in any case im going to have to tell you to be careful. Heres my card if you need anything give me a call. Okay"
"Okay, Thanks detective."
I drove to a local coffee shop to meet Lisa. I got a much needed coffee and a slice of cake. I had just sat down to a sidewalk table when Lisa walked up.
"So what happened at the station?"
"Nothing, according to the detective Michael said that I attacked him because he called off our relationship." I said using quotation marks. "He doesn't believe him which is a good thing but still it's nothing he can do."
"Well girl just watch yourself, there's no telling what this fool is capable of."
"I will. So how was it meeting Adam's parents? Don't leave out any details."

We talked for about two hours before we left the coffee shop and I headed to the grocery store. I was long overdue to go shopping.
Ring ring ri-
"Hello....hello." It was silence on the other end.. "I hate to prank calls." Before I could put my phone back in my pocket it started ringing again. "Hello...". Another hang up.
Ring...ring
"Look whoever this is needs to stop calling and hanging up I-"
"You don't like being hung up on either do you?"
"Michael? Get the hell off my phone. You got some nerve calling me."
" You called the cops on me. I don't like that-"
"I would like for you to kiss my-"
"Don't finish that, it wouldn't do for you to speak like that in a family friendly supermarket now would it?"
I immediately became on alert and started looking around. "Where are you?"
"Close enough to touch you if I want."
I snatched my bag and immediately ran out the store. I didn't know what he was up to but I wasn't about to wait around and find out. On the way home I called detective Walker to inform him I knew there wasn't anything he could do but I wanted to have some kind of record. I went home and took a shower. I looked at the bruise on my face the swelling went down but it was still tender. I put on a pair of stretchies one of Vince's button down shirt and a pair of boots and headed over to his Vince's place. When I got to there I parked my truck and walked into the lobby.
"Hey Bill, how are you?"
"I'm doing fine Ms. Collins, how are you?"
"I'm okay. You have a good evening."

Bill was a sweet older guy. He was a retired police officer who worked security. I took the elevator to the 11th floor and walked down the hall and knocked on his his door. He answered the door wearing a pair of lounge pants and a t-shirt looking as sexy as ever.
"Hello handsome, can I come in."
"I don't know, I'm expecting my girlfriend."
"I don't think she would mind." I kissed him on the cheek and walked past him into the kitchen. "Smells good. What are you making."
"You'll see when it's ready. If you want something to drink I have wine in the fridge."
"I'll take a scotch and soda." When he went to the bar in the living room I went to look in the pots. I know I'm nosey. I was putting the top back on the pots when Vince came back in the kitchen and slapped me on the butt.
"Ouch that hurt. I don't think I could sit down now." I said rubbing the sore spot.
"Stop being nosey then. Can you set the table for me sweets?" Once I set the table we sat down to dinner.
"How's your face bella, I notice you wince when you chew."
"It's okay just a little tender."
"What happened at the police station today?"
"This is delicious Vince. Let me find out you have brains, looks and skills in the kitchen. I don't know I might have to wife you."
"Really?"
"What?"
"You're just going to ignore my question?"
"I really don't feel like talking about this tonight, but basically it's nothing that they can do, detective Walker told me to be careful and gave me his card. When Michael called me today I called the police and told them that I he followed me to the supermarket."
"He what?! "
Oh crap. I didn't mean to let that slip at least not tonight.
"We're you going to tell me!"
"Uh...Yes?"
"Are you asking me or telling me?"
"I was going to tell you."
"When Zara!"
"Don't yell at me!"
"Why wouldn't you tell me!"
" I'm leaving, you're not going to keep yelling at me."
"Zara sit down."
"No, you're not my daddy I-"
"SIT YOUR ASS DOWN."
Well damn. I sat down that time. I never seen him this angry with me.
"Michael is obviously crazy. He could have really hurt you. You shouldn't keep things from me. I need to know what's going on." He sighed and ran his hands through his hair which was a clear sign of frustration.
I knew he was pissed because he wouldn't even look at me. He grabbed his keys and walked out the door. After I cleaned up the dishes I called him twice and he didn't answer. I watched tv until he got back which was about three hours later. When he came in he didn't say anything, I knew I was at fault so I decided to put my attitude away this time and swallow my pride.
"I walked over to him and hugged him from behind and rested my face on his back. "Don't be mad at me okay. I didn't want to think about him tonight. I just wanted it to be you and me it that so bad?" Im honestly a little nervous I watch the I.D channel some of you white boys are crazy." I said laughing
"Dolcezza I love you and I don't want anything to happen to you. We're in this together, can you understand that?"
I nodded my head yea although he couldn't see it. "I love you too Vince."
