Roman
"Sir should I order your lunch?" His secretary asked but with a smile he replied with a no.
It was sudden, he knew but the urge of going to Mikaella and asking her out for lunch was great. He knew very well that Mikaella would refuse his lunch proposal but deep down what he wanted to see was her. His wife was a clever little minx trying to avoid him.
Like today, she had woken up so early and went off to work just to avoid him. But that would change, he was determined to win her back come what may.
"What do you mean she is not in?"
Roman asked the brunette seating before Mick's office.
His heart fell a little, the drive on the way here was worth it all because her and now? She was not even in? Then where was she? The question dominated his mind. Where was she?
"Just what I said Sir, she's not yet back"
Did she go to lunch earlier? But he arrived earlier didn't he?
"Back from where?"
"She happened to take a guest to check out a room"
"What's the room number?"
"I can't tell you that, sir"
"You do know I'm her husband right?"
He growled. He was literally losing his patience. The whole five minutes he had been talking with her secretary had driven him mad. Why would Mikaella have to show some guest around? Wasn't that someone's else job? Nonetheless, he decided to calm down, the last thing he wanted was to upset his wife.
Room 446
He turned the door knob unsure whether to go in or not. Would Mikaella be mad at him for interrupting her work? Yes she would. But had he come all the way there just to go back without seeing her? No he hadn't.

With a hardened resolve he opened the door only for two voices to hit him from the bathroom.
"Why would you that!" Mick's voice came first.
"What? You did suggest to test the taps?" Another male voice came and he stood there trying to recall where he had heard the voice.
"The taps on the sink or the tub not those taps!" Mick shouted back.
"So what? It's just water, Mick," the other voice came out.
His anger threatening to blow his head off, he approached the bathroom door being careful as to not raise any suspicion of his presence. When the door opened and two pairs of eyes met his, he felt like he could punch the wall next right to him.
His wife...his wife was soaking wet and the other guy...ooh the other guy made him grit his teeth. Deputy Marcus Pierce, the same douchebag that had beat the living crap out of him, come to think of it was he the same imbecile that was with Mikaella the other night? What made him furious, was his audacity. The audacity to touch his wife. His! Roman looked down where his hands on Mikaella lay.
How dare he touch her waist two nights in a row? And she was wet? The guy could practically see Mick's bra through her white shirt that had clung to her body like a second skin.
"Roman?" Mick said almost out of breath as Marcus helped her get out of the shower cabinet.
God knows how much he wanted to touch those hands and now? Some guy had already touched her so many times than him in a week.
Mikaella immediately stood infront of Roman pushing him back once she noted Roman's hand balled into fists.
"Roman what are you doing here?" She faced him.

"It's lunch break Mikaella. I came to pick up my wife so that we could have lunch together. But seems she's busy with...who are you again? Ooh I remember, the same self proclaimed deputy!" He growled coming walking towards Marcus that Mikaella had to put her hands on his chest to restrain him.
"Don't do this. I don't really want to create a scene at my place of work,"Mick whispered.
A scene? Roman questioned. Did she not remember the guy standing infront of them was the one who drove him to the hospital. Roman also thought about it and came to a conclusion, that if it was not for that guy he and Mick wouldn't be apart.
"Don't do what? Do the same thing he did to me?"
The guy cleared his throat, smiled a bit wickedly according to Roman before saying, "I can always come another time, Mick. Pleasure meeting you again, Cervantes"
And he was out the bathroom, out the room just like that.
And then there were two.
"Would you mind explaining all this?"
"Explain what? That you chased one of our guests away? Roman. I...I don't understand what you are doing here, since when did we have lunch together? What? Is Jo not available?"
Jo.Jo. Joanna. The mention of her name was a constant reminder of what a fool he was.
"I want you. I want only you Mikaella. Why can't you get that? Do you want me to prove it?"
He came closer but Mikaella stepped back until her back faced the walls of the shower compartment. God how she looked beautiful when her hair was wet, that Marcus guy sure knew what he was doing. Damn him. He made sure to make a mental note of checking that guy out. Something didn't feel right.
"Roman" she whispered.
"Yeah. Anything. Say anything and your wish is my command, princess"
"I don't want you"

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!

All people great or small have a story - Patriarch Lord Theris'Heron Soletus, was on the verge of becoming a warden in the Dias Brotherhood until his father holds him back. However, when Soletus’s resolve to help starts to waiver, Mien does something unexpected and Soletus decides that the boy deserves a second chance not as an act of duty but as a friend. Hy'Ruh-Ha is a what I consider a chronicle fantasy. It is a fantasy drama coming of age story inspired by slice-of-life stories I've read and watched. It is heavy on the slice-of-life and does move slow. It is low-stakes fantasy. This particular story is romance free.(2 out the of 4 is re-uploaded under this title) And if you are someone who cares, the POV character is asexual. Crossroad(formally labeled as the intermission stories)- is a novella collection continuing the tale where Hy'ruh-Ha. The collection as followed: Wolf- After spending several months in the swamp post, Oeric'Sheldmartin returns to repair the chasm between him and his son, Soletus. However, a ghost from his past comes to haunt him and could ruin the life he's made completely. Note: Wolf is a bit of a character piece. POV character is Oeric. The Priest and the Priestess- A novella written in the POV of Mien and then Kiao after a series of unexpected events that change their lives. Mien's POV- Mien has spent the last couple of years working not only in the infirmary but training to become a combat chanter as part of his penitence. Then one day, a drug addled elf comes into infirmary and changes his perspective of a friend and puts his knowledge to the tests to figure out a mystery effecting children in town. *Spoiler warning* Kiao's POV- Kiao spent most of her time in the infirmary living the same daily secret filled life and until Mien changed it. Now she has to figure out her future in ways she never thought she would. I'm going for a Tues and Thurs day schedule for the re-upload. I may or may not stick in extra days.
