Roman
He was so cautious not to touch her. Not to do anything but help her feel better. And as he fed her, he wanted nothing more but to touch her, take her hand and assure her that she would feel better in a day thanks to his killer soup. But he understood. Taking advantage of Mikaella while she was weak wasn't the right thing. That would only lead to more arguments.
More arguments about the love he claimed he had for, more arguments about the Pierce guy. Ooh the Pierce guy, even without being told he could tell that Mick cared for the dang bastard. Why did she not slap the douche when he drenched all her clothes? Or dance with the guy merrily at the Griffin' party.
The thought that Mikaella was warming up to another guy and not him made his heart break a little... Switching off the lights and pecking her forehead lightly he decided to leave the room but Mick's hand laced with his and the profound feeling of his heart beating was back.
Roman after minutes of debating whether it was right or not, he joined her in bed and it reminded him of old times. Although her back faced him, it was enough knowing that they were in their room sharing the same bed. Suddenly she turned, entangled her arms on his torso and his breathing hitched. She was so damn pretty. Only a fool wouldn't recognize her beauty and sadly he was the fool.
The fool to break her wonderful heart.
"Roman? Roman? Roman d-don't leave me," she stirred in her sleep.
After placing his hand on her forehead only then did he realise she was burning up.
Entangling her hands from his torso he got out of bed.
"I'll be back, I promise"

Wearing his slippers, he went for the door only to open it and for Marga to fall in.
"Sir? I'm s-sorry sir!"
"And you are at the door because?"
"Ma'am Mikaella...I saw her walking in. She didn't look too good and S-seth is back from school and I don't know whether I should tell him about her or not. Oh Sir, I can't keep my mouth shut partly because it's my nature and partly because I'm worried. And when I'm worried I talk alot"
"Marga. Hey Marga. Breathe in...out. In...out. Now we are not gonna tell my son anything, understood? If that's all you can get me some hot water and a basin"
And Marga scurried away. Roman going back to the room scoot over to Mick's trembling body. He immediately covered her with the blankets pulling her body to his.
"The dang bastard will never lay a hand on you again"he growled his lips plastered to her forehead.
Gosh she smelled nice. He missed her smell on his sheets. God it made him wonder, did she really not want him? Was there a part of Mikaella that never wanted him again? Had she moved on?
The questions drove him to insanity!
"Sir?" a knock on the door startled him. Marga let herself in carrying a tray with a basin full of water.
Mikaella
She fluttered her eyes open. She had had flus before but this one? Boy this one surely took a toll on her. She remembered how just the other night, it became unbearable to breath. Both nostrils had failed her by being clogged of snort and she could only clutch to the person next to her to help her.
The previous night was slightly uncomfortable seeing as to how she felt like she was lying in a pool of ice cold water. Yet the whole time, someone was there. Someone was there at the right time when she needed help.

"Is she gonna be alright?" She recalled Seth's voice amidst her whole fever and flu situation and Roman assuring voice coming along with it.
The empty space next to her somehow dropped her spirits. Had it all been a dream? She could bet everything that Roman was taking care of her every second she was ill. And that thought made somersaults in her tummy, made the echoing of her heartbeat loud in her ears.
She slowly crept out of bed recognizing herself in the mirror with one of Roman's white collar shirt that reached her mid thighs. Running a hand through her hair she left the room roaming the halls of the mansion like a delusional person.
Where had everybody gone to?
Reaching the foot of the stairs, she had two voices. One that of Roman's and the other...a rather unfamiliar voice. Hesitation filled her in an instant, shy couldn't go down looking like that so she turned back but the conversation attracted her the more.
"God damn it, boy! It's just another phase! A woman has you wrapped around her fingers and you fall for it. Just like that, you break everything... everything that we have tried to build. Our legacy!"
"It's not a phase, grandpa! I love her and my son! Have you met them yet? Oh I forgot, you never care about anyone but yourself! Money, it's think big or go home, isn't it? Make more money and a name for yourself, isn't it? Well I refuse to continue your legacy!"
"What do you mean? You don't mean that! All for what? A woman? You are just like your father, I can see it now. A bunch of worthless fools! Fine then, have a wonderful life grandson and if things go wrong with her like they always do, my company doors are open"
The conversation ended and Mikaella still seated at the foot of the stairs watched from afar as an old man resembling Stan Lee walked by to the door. She was confused! That was definitely not Jacob Cervantes but he resembled Roman's dad only a little bit meaner.
The argument. The argument was about her? And Seth?
"Ma'am? You are awake!" Marga's voice came from behind and Mikaella immediately turned to face her.
"Who was that? And what...what did he want?"
Marga clutched the laundry basket she had in her hands tightly, before speaking, "That's Jonas Nicolo Cervantes. Mr Roman's grandfather, I'm surprised he decided to visit. The only time he comes by, is when Sir doesn't show up to work"
"Has he not been going to work?"
"Yes ma'am for a week now. He took care of you all week"
It now made sense. Why would he do that if it would only get him to trouble?
"If you'll excuse me, ma'am"
Marga left and she stood there confused. He had taken care of her all week? He had denounced his grandpa's legacy all for her and the feeling of giddiness was back full force. He loves me, he truly loves me. Mick thought.
Thinking that the wisest decision would be to go back to his room and wait for him there, she retreated back to the room.
Minutes later, he came in unbothered by her figure seated on the couch. Instead Mikaella watched him take out a large duffel bag, throwing all his clothes in it.
"What are you doing?" Mick asked.
"I'm leaving"

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
