Hearing the whistle being blown from elsewhere, Cao Peizhi had snapped out from barely taking advantage of Lin Ning who did not know what was going on. "Brother Wei, are you okay?" Lin Ning did not know what had happened, but it seems as though he stopped from doing something just now.

"It's nothing. I have to go now. Be sure to rest and take care of yourself. I won't be able to come around too often, right?" Cao Peizhi told Lin Ning who nodded and held a smile up to him.

"Don't worry. I will be sure to take care of myself. You also have to be sure to do the same, okay?" Lin Ning hoped that he would be sure to keep an eye on himself and his health.

"Pinky promise?" Lin Ning held out her left hand with her pinky left out.

"Pinky promise?" Cao Peizhi did not know what she meant by that which he had hoped that it did not require a left hand.

"You hook your pinky with the opposite hand of mine, and it means that we have to be sure to stick to that promise no matter what." Lin Ning explained to him as he took out his right hand and hooked his right pinky with her left-hand pinky. "The most sacred vow that anyone can swear to. If broken then you will have consequences." Lin Ning said, hoping that Cao Peizhi would stick to it no matter what.

"Alright, go to bed now." Cao Peizhi left her manor, Lin Ning heard her window and shut all at once which she figured he would use the window like most male characters tend to do when they met with a female character. Lin Ning fell asleep for the night, feeling that it was a good and fun day all together. It was the first time that she actually felt more comfortable in her home now that Cao Peizhi had been with her all day.

"Has he said anything?" Cao Peizhi looked to the man who had been tied and tortured by Duan Fa who managed to get most of the information out of him.

"He works for the Second prince's princess consort." Duan Fa did not think that the second prince's princess consort would be the one behind the stalking which made it more clear for all of them.

"It seems as though she does not wish for Miss Lin to catch her husband's attention." Xia Ling did not think that the second prince would be interested in Lin Ning when he knew that he could never have her. The second prince was still aiming to take the throne and even his mother was still trying to help him do so. "The second prince seems to have taken a liking for Miss Lin. It will be bad if he continues to see her since it will only make his princess consort more possessive of him." Xia Ling knew that the second prince had a thing for beauty that had hidden talents.

Cao Peizhi hated the second prince even more now, the reason that Lin Ning had to feel afraid of her own home was due to the fault of the second prince who did not think to be more considerate of Lin Ning. "Make sure that the second prince does not visit or see Miss Lin. It will only bring her more trouble." Cao Peizhi found that this was just too much for Lin Ning when she was completely helpless.

"Understood!" The three of them replied, knowing that their master seems to have also taken a liking to Lin Ning who likely saved him and mended him all at once.

"Master, what do you wish for us to do with him?" Qin Yun decided to ask, seeing how the man was still alive and needed to be given a solution.

"Get rid of him. Make sure that the Second princess consort sees him. It will make her assume that her husband is possibly threatening her." Cao Peizhi left his shadow guards to take care of the troublesome man who had been stalking Lin Ning. Returning to his studies, he then came across the crown prince who had been waiting for him to return. "Crown Prince, what brings you here?" Cao Peizhi did not know what the crown prince wanted from him this time.

"Peizhi, is it all true that my younger sister has been harming the ladies of the capital?" The crown prince had asked, seeing how he himself could not believe that his younger sister could do such a thing. He had looked through as well to find that there were no false cases, Xu Meili had been the one behind the case and ruined his younger sister but to find that his younger sister had done far worse.

"Changpu." Ignoring the formalities, Cao Peizhi wanted the crown prince to think about it clearly. "It is only up to you. You either find the one who is behind all of this for your younger sister, or let the consequences be and let her suffer from it." Cao Peizhi did not really care about what happened to the princess since he did not want bothersome people to mess with his people. Both had spoken the entire night, coming to a conclusion that they would let the princess bear the consequences for her past evil deeds.

"Young miss!!! Young miss!!!" Hun Lian was heard running from midway of the Lin manor shouting loudly with Lin Ning confused about what was going on. Leaving even Xia Ling, Duan Fa, Qin Yun all confused about what was going on in the Lin Manor at this time. They did not know if they needed to inform their master about this matter; it seemed like it was something very serious at that moment.

"Lian, what is going on???" Lin Ning had gotten up from sitting down, following where she could hear the footsteps of Hun Lian running towards her.

"Young miss! Your mother fainted!" Hearing that her mother had fainted, Lin Ning did not hesitate to rush to her mother and see what had happened to her.

'Mother, please be okay.' Being the first one to run to her parent's bedroom, she could hear people running behind her as they had the same emotions of worry in the air.
