《The Empress' Son》CHAPTER ELEVEN

"Is that so?"
I sighed as I laid down on my bed again.
Jamie chuckled as she ruffled my hair. "Your highness, her majesty just invited some of her trusted alliances against the Caner."
"What does that have to do with me?" I arched a brow. "And she's here. We can play!"
Chuckling, Jamie cooed at my cuteness. But heck, what's cute in my situation?
I just happened to wake up and feel energized to play with Aureus today. It was a hard decision since she can kill me in any second as she please if I happen to displease her.
This must be a nightmare
"By the way, his highness have a new playmate along with Prince Klydeur."
Blinking my eyes, I looked at her with a confused look. "What? Playmate?" I almost scoffed. "But I don't need any!"
Okay, okay! I won't play if I'm just given a new playmate. It just means Aureus herself hates playing with me and Klydeur.
"Nanny, can you call Klydeur?"
Jamie, who seems flustered, nodded her head. "Yes, your highness." As she left to excuse herself, I'm left to rant all alone inside my room.
"This is boring!" I whined, hitting the poor innocent pillow with my two fist. "I never knew this was soooooo boring!"
Glancing at the little girl on the door, I scoffed at her. "Why are you asking me? Even I don't know the answer to that." Looking outside the window, I pointed my finger outside. "Can't you see the sun is shining brightly yet it still seems so boring? Just what-" then I stopped midsentence when I realized something.
Slowly, I turned my head to look at her again. Her long light purple hair which reached her waist still suits her despite her small height. She's wearing a white dress and silver boots. Her golden eyes somehow shows boredom on it too.
"Yes, yes. The sun is shining so bright that my eyes are already hurting."
My jaw almost dropped as I stared at her wide-eyed. "WHO ARE YOU!?" Shrieking in panic, I grabbed the biggest pillow beside me and threw it towards her.

How did she got in here!?
But my jaw almost dropped until it reached the floor when I realized what just happened.
The pillow got teared apart and feathers are now falling everywhere. The little girl grinned at the sight. "Quite amusing." I flinched as her bored golden eyes stared at my silver eyes. "To think that a prince could only throw a pillow to protect himself."
With that, the whole room is filled with her laughter. "What's funny?" I asked, irritated.
"You.. hahaha! You're so amusing!" Chuckling, she raised her arm and her little finger popped out of her sleeve, pointing towards me. "No wonder you really are the Empress' son, the crown prince."
I looked at her in disbelief as she continued on laughing. Great. Just who the hell is she?
Standing up from my bed, I was about to walk towards her when I felt myself being lifted midair. The only difference: No one is even carrying me!
Her finger is still pointed at me as the air blew hard inside the room. I'm still floating on air while her hair waved from the wind. "What's your name again?" The little girl asked, squinting her eyes as she did. "Aha! I remember. Prince Clydeur Aurum Xi Vermilion. The crown prince."
"Crown prince?" I asked, still confused. "You kept on repeating those words."
She nodded her head. "You're the eldest among the two of you, so you are the first in line to the throne." Smiling, she snapped her finger and I felt myself landing down the floor.
"Why you-" before I can strangle her to death, the door opened and there revealed Jamie. "Nanny! There is this girl-"
But when I looked at her, she was bowing her head down at me, with her hand on her chest.
"Uh, she's.."
"Apologies, your highness. I may have been rude for trespassing your room without permission," I almost dropped my jaw at how humble she looked right now.
What is she, an actress!?
"My invasion of your privacy is against the rule. You may give me a punishment you see fit."

Jamie, whose confused about what happened, rushed to my side. "Your highness, did she enter your room without permission?"
I nodded quickly. "She did!"
Looking at Jamie, instead of seeing her furious face, I just saw her smile like an angel.
Wait, what...?
"It is no big problem, my lady," Jamie bowed her head at the little girl which made me even more confused. "It is an honor to have your appearance today."
The little girl straightened her posture and smiled. "No, it is an honor for me to be in here. The Empress is a great friend of mine."
A total fraud!
"How come?" I almost forgot about Klydeur. His question wasn't really specific, so he asked again. "You're as young as we do to be friends with mama."
Jamie chuckled nervously. "You see, the princes are still young. But surely, they'll understand in the future, Eldest."
"Eldest?" Klydeur and I both asked at thesame time.
That's a very rare name.
"Apologies," smiling, she looked towards me and Klydeur. "I still haven't introduced myself properly."
I looked at Klydeur and he gave me a who-is-this-girl look.
"I'm Eldest. Or atleast, everyone knows that it is my name."
~*~
Walking around the garden with a very calming and relaxing weather, it was already nice.
But having your hell of a twin brother walking around with you is the complete opposite. And having that girl named Eldest is also a big no.
Jamie didn't bother going with us since she told us that our new playmate was Eldest herself.
Klydeur was glancing at her every now and then. I chose to focus infront, while Eldest is trailing behind us.
"What's your age?" I asked, stopping from my tracks. Klydeur stopped beside me as he also faced the little girl.
Judging from her physical appearance, she's like 5 years old. Same to our age. But quite brilliant at such a young age.
"My age? Hm," Eldest looked as if she's in deep thoughts, before a little finger popped out of her sleeve. With a silly grin, she said, "Guess what it is!"
If she's trying to mock us or lose our temper, I'm afraid to say but I already reached my limit. "I don't care anymore." Turning my back, I continued on my stride.
Klydeur didn't have much choice but to follow me too. "Hyung, don't you think that was a little bit harsh?"
Glancing at him, I raised a brow. "I don't need any playmate at all. Just imagine spending the rest of our days with some silly girl whom we didn't even know yet."
"But she already introduced herself, didn't she?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Yeah, and her name is weird."
"I can hear you." Speaking of the devil, Eldest herself sounded sarcastic. "That hurts, your highness."
Focusing on my stride, I finally managed to enter an empty hall. The wall is neatly painted white and the floor is smooth and shiny. There are paintings hanging on the other wall while there is a huge window by the side of the paintings.
"Dawn's Hall of Archemy, huh?" Eldest crossed her arms. "I never knew you'd prefer to play here instead of the garden."
Before I can protest, Klydeur cleared his throat and started to ask, "What is Dawn's Hall of Archemy? Isn't that one of our Emperor's name?"
Eldest grinned. "Obviously," walking past us, she headed towards the paintings. "This place is originally made by Emperor Dawn himself. He even experiments with magic in here."
"How about the archemy-"
"I have no idea about that." Eldest cutted his words short. With her fingers on her chin, she turned around to face us. "What are we gonna do in here anyways?"
Glancing towards Klydeur, he looked at me and nodded.
I looked back at her and grinned. "What about we play a tag?"
I guess I won't be able to update until next month since classes is getting harder than I thought :

The Bettor's Oath [A Dark-Modern LITRPG]
We live in a world where the rabbit’s foot helped win the game. Following that logic, tell me, what happens when the odds are flipped against the strong and a god rises to give the weak their right for revenge?~Last segment of the First Monarch's speech before the Lablanca battle. Lothar Ardolf, an alcoholic 27 years old high school teacher, was one of the many men who failed to catch up to life. When everyone around him worked to leave a mark behind, he idled away between states of short sobriety and static numbness, hoping that one day everything would resolve itself. It took little to wake him up. Only a life, soul, and body changing experience.Thrust into a world of cheap power and tyrannical governments, where a man could rival what is true and alter what is false, he was tasked by an elusive being with befalling titans. He wakes up in a prison with a path laid in front of him; one that would challenge all the resolve he has and more. Intertwined in a convoluted scheme of politics and old grudges, he will need to learn how to wield his new powers in order to escape before the secrets of the prison threaten to unravel him. However, he shortly realizes that his new faded fantasy was not a fairy tale. All that awaits him in the end, for standing against the world, is death. That is, if the three sided coin lands on heads. If it lands on tails... The shadowbane army rises. ...... This story is a neo-noir dark LITRPG in a world similar to earth. Take the tags seriously. I've been working on this project for 6 months and my MC is a bit unconventional, so I'm excited to introduce you all to him. Beware, it will be a slow-burn, so please be patient. The main plot will start to kick up at around chapter 15. I will be writing about racists, rapists, cultists and horrible humans. I do not condone or excuse their behavior or choice of words but the first arc will be in a prison and (some) prisoners don't mince their words. My MC doesn't adapt to the new world immediately because that is not realistic at all. It takes time and because of his personality, it will take more than a system to convince him to do someone else's bidding ;) Each chapter will have around 3000+ (give or take) words. I will be updating 2-3 times a week (depending on how busy I am with work and/or college) when I'm done publishing my backlog (Which is very big, 40,000+ words). **Each comment gets rep! Cover art by @tahraart on Instagram. Link to discord: https://youtu.be/91wX0NRjJqg Have a good one, Pistol. **** THE STORY IS ON TEMPORARY HIATUS. WE WILL BE BACK IN 2 MONTHS. SORRY EVERYONE.

It all started with that voice. One day, a slightly psychopathic teenager named Krey heard a voice in his dream. A goddess's request, a new world, the legacies of the Divine realms, the never-ending storms in the world of Salratia. With the carefree thought of "I shall live as I please~!", Krey sets out to begin his 'otaku' dream. But it is not smooth sailing. Troublesome divine entities, mortal politics and the relationship with his new companions. How could he, a former assassin and former odd-jobs part-time high school student worker (not to mention an otaku), a perfect example of a loner (though he himself doesn't seem to realize it) be able to handle this problem? "Ei! Whatever, there's still a few more centuries! I'll go travel the world in peace!" [Author here. This is my first time writing a story in RRL. Criticism is very welcome as long as it is educational and has some tips and bits of advice for me. I am still learning]
