《The Empress' Son》CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Months has passed ever since we had Eldest as our new playmate.
So far, it was nice. Klydeur and I had fun in making her life miserable, it was as if she's regretting her life decisions already.
But there is something else.
Today is something that the maids and other servants are busy with. Next week is my 6th birthday.
More like Klydeur and mine.
"Time flies so fast, your highness." Jamie spoke softly as she served the meals for brunch. "There will be a time that you two will be a tall and goodlooking prince."
Klydeur chuckled. "Klyde and hyung are already goodlooking!"
I know right.
"Hey, hey, how about me?" I almost forgot about Eldest whose on the opposite side of the table. She's playing with her fork as she twirled the pasta on it. "Won't I become tall too?"
I frowned at her. "You're too short to become tall."
"That hurts you know?"
Jamie chuckled at us, as if she's watching a funny show. "Ofcourse, you too Eldest."
"There will be a week left before Klyde and hyung's birthday," Klydeur spoke. "Will mama come too?"
I looked at Jamie to hear her answer, but she didn't replied. Instead, she blinked her eyes as she looked hesitant for a while.
"Actually.."
Klydeur sighed before smiling. "It's okay if mama can't go." He then looked at me. "Right, hyung?"
I shrugged my shoulders. Even I don't care. There's not even a glimpse of my past life where Aureus made her presence in our birthdays.
And yet, I was still hoping.
I sighed as I took a spoonful bite of my salad, ignoring Eldest staring at me as much as possible.
"Klyde won!"
With my chin rested on my palm, I just boredly nodded.

We were currently playing a game of guessing this and that.. and I don't care what else I wasted my time on with.
I'm not in the mood today.
Surprisingly, even Eldest whose been such a talker didn't talk much today. As if she can't say anything ridiculous at the moment. But I know she's in deep thoughts just like me.
Klydeur looked at me with a worried look. "Hyung, are you okay?"
I looked at him and forced a smile. "Yeah."
"Well, Clydeur hyung looks pale for me." He pointed his finger at me.
Sighing, I stood up from my seat. "I guess I just need to rest." Before he can say anything, I already left Dawn's Hall of Archemy.
That's the name of this place according to Eldest, and so we called it that, no matter how long it is.
As I am walking my way towards my bedroom, I felt a sudden warmth. But it isn't a comfortable warmth. It was as if my skin is burning, my eyes are getting teary as I feel the warmth surrounding me has also affected my sight.
Why is it too hot?
Before I can even answer my own question, I felt a sudden movement behind me. And so I quickly looked behind, only to see another little girl with brown hair.
Both strands of her hair in the side of her face has a different color. Orange in the right, red in the left. Same with the eye color.
Her hands were on her back as she walked towards me with a smile that looks.. a bit scary.
"Why we meet atlast, crown prince."
I took a step backward as I felt her dangerous aura. It was as if I can sense danger on her.

"Did you not like our first meeting?" She chuckled at me as if I did something funny. "The crown prince looks stunned for me, to be honest."
"Why speak to me that way?" I blurted out, and I felt like my voice even raised in anger. Well, who wouldn't be angered in this? All this warmth for our nonsense meeting?
Who'll take this bullshit again?
The girl acted to get hurt as she dramatically touched her chest. "My, you hurt my feelings."
"My, I see you're holding into your flat chest." I flatly told her, in which seems like she was strucked by a lightning. "Your sense of drama is distasteful. Awful. Unpleasant."
A vein seems to pop out of her forehead, before red blazing flames emitted in both her palms. I stared at it, with my eyes wide. The atmosphere got hotter and warmer and I felt like my insides are about to burn too-
"."
I felt a sudden cold breeze blew on me as my systems finally calmed down. The air blew hard as I looked behind, only to see Eldest behind me.
"Don't treat his highness with such disrespect."
My tongue must have been cutted off. Isn't she the one who disrespects me too? But to point things out, she's actually helping me against this fire girl.
Eldest has a grimace on her face, her golden eyes shows annoyance in it. "And he's being true to his words."
"I see," the little girl squinted her eyes towards Eldest. "It seems like you dyed your hair."
Looking at the girl, then to Eldest, I scoffed. Eldest still have her hair purple. Is she color blind?
Eldest suddenly chuckled, which made the atmosphere a lot scarier and uncomfortable. Tension grew between her and the girl.
The little girl stiffened before me. "Your presence is still unbelievable at sight."
Looking at Eldest, she also looks scary today as she grinned at her. "And you are an eyesore."
"Wow. Aren't you the eyesore here? This is a nightmare to meet you again."
"You speak as if I'm a demon."
"Well, aren't you?"
Eldest crossed her arms. "I'm not the one who burns anyone to ashes just like you, Ashley. So I ain't the demon you are talking about."
The girl named Ashley smirked too. "And I don't think you're an angel."
"Absolutely not and I'm aware of that."
I looked to and fro, from Ashley to Eldest. It was as if I'm watching a sadistic showdown.
Klydeur should have been here. We have the demon girl blazing with flames and he will be the angel of purity.
But whatever, he might not even be able to do anything.
"Is Eldest being superior to me?" Ashley laughed hard, already holding in her stomach. "How upsetting this must be, but I can absolutely burn you to dust."
As she raised her palm directed towards us, the red flames reflected in my silver eyes.
This is a disaster! "Wait, don't!"
But she didn't listen to me. With my eyes wide, my heart almost raced as I realized what is about to happen now. But then I saw Eldest moved.
"Hell's Flames." Ashley blurted out with a wide smirk. And with that, a huge explosion was heard.
