《The Third String.》Chapter-21

As I walked into the living room, another surprise awaited me.
" Shivanya beta, go and do your packing. You have your flight in the night." Dad said.
" Yes beta, I'll see the house work." Maa added.
" But maa, where are we going?" I asked her, what was happening!??
" Beta, Abhi and you are leaving for your honeymoon. Did he not tell you?" Maa asked.
" What!! No maa. What is the need of that. As it it, Sahil has missed a lot of days in school!" I exclaimed.
" Bhabhi, it's honeymoon. Sahil is not going with you." Diya replied.
" What! No Diyu, how will Sahil stay without me? Absolutely not!" I announced.
" It's okay Shivanya, mom and dad will take good care of Sahil." Abhimanyu said, descending down the stairs.
What the....? He is supposed to support me here not argue with me!
" But Abhimanyu......" I started.
" No if's and but's Shivanya, we will take care of Sahil." Dad said.
But I don't want to go on a honeymoon! Why is it so necessary!??
" Now go and pack beta." Maa said.
Having no other option, I had to agree with her and went to my room. Abhimanyu followed me.
" You were supposed to say no to this and not agree with maa and dad!" I exclaimed to him.
" Why would I object to my own plan?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
" What! Your idea?? But why??" I questioned.
" Because I wanted to take my wife out for a few days." He said, shrugging his shoulders.
" Abhimanyu...I don't know! This is all so weird." I said, finally talking my heart out.
" What is?" He asked, coming towards me and made me sit on the bed while he bent on a knee and took my hands in his.
" This all...I don't know how to explain any of it. It's different and....I just don't know what to say." I said.
" Shivi, do you trust me?" He asked.
" What kind of question is this Abhimanyu? Of course I do!" I said, exasperated.
" Then just listen to your heart and don't hold back. Don't overthink and don't just keep your worries to yourself." He said and this melted my heart.
" It's nothing. Just me being delusional." I replied.
" Shivanya, always talk." He said and got up. I did too.
" I'm gonna go and pack." I said.

Pack.....but pack for where?
" Where are we going? Also, how will I live without Sahil?" I sulked.
" Sahil has so many people to take care of him." Abhimanyu replied.
" I don't think you heard me properly. I asked how will I live without Sahil and not the other way round." I clarified.
" Trust me darling....you will be helping him getting a sibling." He taunted, grabbing my waist and pulling me closer.
As I realized what he had said, I was deeply embarrassed and red. I pushed him and went to the closet.
" Now will you tell me where are we going so that I can pack accordingly?" I asked, without looking at him.
" No....all you need to know is that you should carry clothes with are comfortable and casual. No sweaters or jackets." He said.
" What? Now I can't even know where are we going?" I was shocked.
" There is a reason it is called surprise." He dead panned.
" This is not fair." I said, irritably.
" Everything is fair in love and war." He mocked me.
" Yes....and this is war." I said as I threw a pillow which landed right on his face.
It was so funny that I started laughing like a maniac.
" You just did not do that." I said, unusually calm.
" But I just did." I said in between my laughs.
He somehow managed to pin me to the wall in the walk in closet.
" Wh...wha...what are yo....you...d..dd...doing?" I stammered and tried to break free.
" Where is the laughter now?" He asked, half amused and half irritated.
" Abhimanyu....let me go. I need to pack." I said.
He did not move and kept me pinned as he looked at me and started leaning in.
He is just maybe an inch closer to kiss me and I wanted him to. Yes, I did.
" If you want me to stop, tell me now." I heard him say.
Did I want him to stop? No, I didn't.
" I'll take your silence as a no." He said.
Within no time, his lips met mine and there were sparks all over me. It was magical and had nothing but love. It was passionate yet soft.
Soon I was out of breath and stopped. Soon after, I don't know why the fuck I felt so shy that I did not spare him a look and attempted to run out of the room. Keyword being 'attempted' because I could not.

Abhimanyu had successfully caught hold of my wrist.
" Don't run away." He said, making me look at him as he lifted my chin up.
" I need to pack." I stated.
" And your clothes are here in the room. Not outside." He replied.
I started keeping the clothes in the suitcase. Somehow he already had his suitcase ready.
I was done in an hour.
" Sahil, mumma's gonna miss you." I said as it was time to leave.
" I will miss you too mumma but bua has promised me that she will take me out everyday and I will enjoy a lot. Will you get me chocolates?" He asked so innocently.
" Of course my baby. I promise." I said.
" I love you mumma. Come back soon." He replied and I immediately hugged him.
Aww! My baby. I'll miss him so much!
" Bye papa." He said, hugging Abhimanyu.
Abhimanyu picked him up and gave him a kiss.
" Bye Sahil. Papa will get lot's of things for you!" He promised.
" Thank you papa." Sahil said.
We then started for the airport. We were taking Abhimanyu's private jet again.
" Why did you have to buy a private jet for yourself? Couldn't you like just travel in the executive class or something?" I asked Abhimanyu, mocking him.
" Because I can." He replied a little arrogantly.
" Arrogant." I muttered.
He just ignored my comment.
" Abhimanyu....listen. Please tell me where are we going?" I asked.
" You'll know soon Shivanya." He said, not giving out any information.
" I hate you." I gritted through my teeth.
" That's not true." He said, while pulling my lip out of my teeth through his thumb.
I put my head on his shoulder and let sleep take over.
" Shivanya, wake up. We are here." I felt Abhimanyu wake me up.
" Where?" I asked.
" Let's go." He said as he held my hand and we walked out.
We were in Maldives. Male.
" Wow! Maldives!! I have never had been here before!" I exclaimed.
" I know Mrs. Singhania." He said.
" Thank you so much Abhimanyu!" I exclaimed and hugged him. He hugged me back.
" Now let's go. The hotel's car is waiting for us." He said as we walked out.
We reached the hotel soon and the cottages were built on the Indian ocean!
" This place is so beautiful." I whispered.
" Not more than you." I heard Abhimanyu say and and I flushed.
" Definitely don't take compliments well." He muttered as he planted a soft peck on my forehead.
We walked inside the cottage and everything was so beautiful. There were candles in the room along with some really tasty food and then I realized how hungry I was.
" Food!" I exclaimed and heard Abhimanyu chuckle.
I quickly went to freshen up and then Abhimanyu did too. Then we had our dinner.
" Can we go out for a walk on the beach?" I asked hopefully.
" Yes. Let's go." He said, agreeing.
While walking, I almost tripped over thin air but Abhimanyu caught me on time. Thank heavens for that!
" Careful." He said and picked me up, bridal style.
" Let's head back." He added.
" You know I can walk." I said.
" Yeah, I saw that." He remarked sarcastically.
Within no time, we were back at the cottage and ended up making out.
" Shivanya, I am going to make love to you right here, right now. If you don't want that, just say no right now before I totally lose control." He said.
Shit! How did things get so far!? He does not even know that I'm a virgin!
" Abhimanyu....I need to tell you something." I said, a lot nervous.
" What is it?" He asked, tucking the loose hair strand at the back of my ear.
" I have never done this before." I said, looking anywhere but at him.
" You have never let anyone..? Before he could complete the sentence, I said 'No'.
" What are you so worried about. You do realize that just the thought of having you completely by myself is the best feeling for me right?" He said, realizing my fears.
I did not say anything further.
" Shivanya, I love you and will always love you." He said.
" I love you too." I replied and leaned to him.
He slowly started kissing me and I was spell bounded with his love.
" So beautiful." He said as he got my top off.
I attempted to get inside the covers to cover myself.
" Don't Shivanya. Never hide yourself from me. You're all mine." He said and got me out of the covers.
I willingly surrendered myself to him and it was the best night of my life. We became one.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
