Vedant
After finishing my breakfast I headed back to my office. I entered the lift and press the floor number of my new office is located. While standing inside the lift, the incident happened in the morning came to my mind. The alluring brown eyes, the embarrassed but beautiful face and the dulcet voice brought a playful smile to my face. She was beautiful. Who is she? Is she working here? If so, then there is a possibility for us to meet again right. That thought alone made my smile widen.
Ding.
The elevator opened and I was brought back to reality. That’s when I realized what I was thinking. What’s happening Ved? Shaking my head in disbelief I walked into my office. The room was painted in grey. There was a desktop pc sitting on the table and a black leather chair behind the table. And the books were arranged neatly in the other side of the room. There was small couch placed in the small space behind the bookshelf. The arrangements were not completed. They informed it will be ready by tomorrow morning. I walked towards the couch and looked outside through the floor to ceiling glass window. I can get a clear view of the city.
The office room is next to Mr. Varma’s office. The mere thought of him made my anger resurfacing. I have to bring him down to nothing. This was a just a beginning. I have to find a way to get control over the board soon. The board members don’t seem to like my presence much. They still had their doubts about me. I have to find some allies whom I could use against Varma. For that I have to find more about the share holders.
Taking my phone called Mr. Takur. He picked up the call after the third ring. After giving him the instructions I ended the call and put the phone back in my pocket. I turned around hearing the door opening. I surprised by seeing the face emerged through the door. It was the same woman I met in the elevator in the morning. A smile of happiness crept to my lips. What is doing here? She was looking around the office. I was sure that she didn’t notice me standing behind the bookshelf. She had an annoyed look on her angelic face. I was watching her and then I heard her calling my name.

The thought that she was looking for me, made me smile even more. “Yes.” Answering, I walked towards her from behind the bookshelf. She looked at me with her alluring brown eyes, amusement filled in them. She was staring at me without any word.
“May I help you with something?” I asked.
“Ah-uh, hmm, I am here to meet Mr. Aryan” she said in a clam but sweet voice.
“Oh well, then you are looking at the very same person.” I replied with a genuine smile. The creases between her eyebrows were vanishing and a small smile formed in her full lips. I stared at her lips. It was so inviting. I feel the lust forming inside me.
Suddenly her calm demeanour changed into anger. “What are your intentions? Why did you come here? Why are you trying to take over the hotel? And what did you tell to my father that, it made him to get stroke?” she asked furiously.
I was taken aback by the sudden outburst. My smile faded and creases formed on my forehead. “Excuse me. I didn’t get what you are trying to say. What is it that does with you me being here and your dad getting a stroke? And who are you to ask me all these? I asked annoyed and confused.
“Who am I? I am Niharika Varma daughter of Mr. Nakul Varma. And i have all right to know what you told to my father that it made him get a stroke and now he is in coma. So tell me what the hell you want with us?” she asked angrily.
“Mr. Varma is in coma?” I asked confused. I was trying to register what she said.
“Yes. You, moron. You put him through hell and he is struggling in hospital now. So now stop your act and tell me what are you doing here? You do have a real estate empire in Mumbai waiting for you and you are sitting here in this office planning some sick game with my father’s hard work. And don’t try to fool me with your personal asset bullshit. Because I know you have something to do with my father’s condition.” She sounded irked and her voice was rising.

Mr. Varma had a stroke and he is in coma now. No, that’s not possible. He couldn’t even stand for one day? What a pity. I looked at her face.
Then the thought struck me. She is Niharika Varma. She is the daughter of that bastard. And she is here to confront me.
Her face was full of anger; her beautiful eyes were filled with tears threatening to fall down anytime soon. For whatever reason, I didn’t like that tears in her eyes. I had a urge to wipe that tears. But she is the daughter of my enemy. And that thought brought back my cold emotionless demeanour.
I slowly walked towards her. Standing in front of her I bend down to her eye level. An evil smirk formed in my lips. “You know it is so disappointing that he couldn’t even stand for a day with me. I thought he was stronger than this. I was just starting the game and he is out of the field without even fighting. No, no, no, that won’t happen he should be there to see his own fall. Everything he holds dear will be ruined. I want to crumble everything he has with my own hands. And I will make sure he will witness it with his own eyes. I have to see the desperation in his eyes. He will wake up soon. I will make sure of it.” I was fuming. I meant every word I said.
I was waiting for this revenge for ten years and when the time comes he can’t just lie on the hospital bed and mock me. I will get the best doctors in the country to bring him back. He should be there in flesh and blood to witness his disaster.
“What he did to you to make you do all this?” She asked with a trembling voice.
“What he did? He did what he shouldn’t have done. And he will pay for it.” I said furiously.
She gasped and took a step away from me. She wiped her tears with her bare hands and looked at me. Fear evident on her face. I feel bad for her. She had this innocent look on her face. I calmed down myself. I took a step towards her but she took a step back lifting her right hand in front of me indicating me to stop.
“I don’t know what you are talking about, but my father gave all of his hard work to bring this hotel to this level. And I will not allow you to ruin this for him. I will do everything I can to stop you.” Her voice was low but determined.
I liked the confidence in her. And her eyes looked so innocent that, I doubted what I heard about her. Is she really like how they said about her? Her eyes were saying that she is nothing like what they were saying. But women can be anything inside. The one woman I trusted more than anything showed that how ungrateful and unfaithful she can become. So it’s better not fall for the innocent eyes. After all, she is the daughter of his enemy. So the rumours might be true. Like father, like daughter.
Remembering this I said. “Well. We will see that.”
With an annoying look she stomped out of my office.
