I couldn't sleep yesterday night. I was thinking every way to find where it went wrong. How come someone sent a mail from her PC when it is protected with a password which only she knows? Had someone know her password? Who want to put blame on her? Then it crossed my mind. Arohi?!! Is she behind this? If it is her then I'm gonna kill her. She is an obsessive psyscho. I didn't like the fact that she was staying with them at first but then Ved arranged another stay for her somewhere else and it was oblivious she was not happy with that. And by the looks she was giving to Niharika shows how much she despises her. But how come I can prove it when the mail was sent from Niharika's PC. I sighed in irritation. I looked at my phone and saw it was half past two. I kept it down and closed my eyes to get some sleep before its dawn. I have a meeting to attend in few hours.

I was sitting inside the conference room for an hour now waiting Vedant. When I called he will be here in 20 minutes but it's been an hour and still there was no news from him. I tried to call him but the calls were going to voice mails. Our clients were getting impatient. I sighed looking at the watch. It looks like he won't be coming any time soon. I cleared my throat and got up from my seat. "Sorry guys. But our CEO had to attend some urgent matters that demand his presences. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. Let me explain the details for you instead." I said and nodded to Priya. She understood and immediately setup the projector and our presentation. I explained the details to our clients and the meeting extended to an extra one hour. After finishing they were satisfied with our presentation and were scheduled another meeting with Ved for the final confirmation. We shook ours hands and said goodbyes.

After wards I went to my office and attended some important files and video conferences. Today was a busy day and I had to handle Ved's duties also. I don't know where he went and no one was able to reach him. It was almost 6' O clock in the evening when I finished the last video conference of the day with our clients in Dubai. I loosened my tie and stretched my hands out. I sighed and sat on the chair and leaned back. I closed my eyes. Where are you Ved? Why are you not picking up the calls? "Sir." I opened my eyes and saw Priya standing in front of me. "Yes." I asked her tiredly. She bit her lips. She does that when she is nervous. "What is it Priya?" I asked again. "Do you believe that Niharika send that mail by herself?" She asked in a low voice. "What do you think?" I asked. She pursed her lips and looked at me. "Hmm. I don't think it is her doing. She can't do such thing. There must be some misunderstanding." She said. I sighed and nodded my head. "I know." I said. "So you don't doubt her? You believe there is some foul play?" She asked surprised. "Yes. But I don't know how to prove it. The mail was sent from her official mail. Only she has the access to that PC." I said. "Maybe someone tempered with her PC. So that they can have access to her PC and the blame will fall on her." She said. "Maybe." I said thinking. Then something strikes me. I got up and dragged her with me. "Come let's go to IT Dept." I said and walked fast towards the lift.

We reached IT Dept. I went straight to Ajay's cabin ignoring every ones greetings. "Ajay." I called him. He turn around and quickly got up from his seat. "Good morning sir. What brings you here?" He asked politely. "I want to know some details. Yesterday Ved asked you some details of a mail sent by Niharika right. I want to know at what time the mail has sent." I told him. He nodded and quickly started to type in his PC. After few moments he turned around to face us. He moved to a side so that we can look at the screen. "Sir the mail was sent by 7.15 PM." He said. A smile crossed my face. "Thanks man." I said patting his shoulders and walked out of the cabin with a wide grin. "Why are you smiling?" Priya asked with a frown. "The mail was not sent by Niharika. I'm sure of it." I said smiling. "How do you know it for sure?" She asked. "Because she was with me on that day from 7.00 PM to 7.20 PM, till the time she left the parking lot and I am sure she is not some kind of super natural being who can appear in multiple places at a time." I said widening my grin. "And how are you so specific about the time?" She asked again. "Because I was worried about you, you left the office late and you were not responding to my messages and calls so I was looking at my phone continuously, every passing second." I said immediately without thinking. She rolled her eyes and her mouth opened but she closed it soon. She quickly looked away. I too averted my gaze. An awkward silence filled around us.

"Come let's go back. I have to find Ved and tell him this." I said and she nodded. We walked out of the office building. "Is everything okay between Mr. Ayan and Niharika? They both were absent from work today. I tried calling Niharika in the morning but she didn't pick up." She asked once we were out of the building. I sighed. "I hope so. My brother is good at heart but with his anger issues he won't think straight some times. He was furious yesterday. I hope he didn't take it out on Niharika. I should tell this information to him before the misunderstanding escalates." I said. She nodded. "Okay sir. I'm going home. Good night." She said with a small smile. I nodded my head. "Okay good night." I said and she walked towards the taxi stand. I looked at her till she get inside in one of the cab and drove away.

I walked back to the parking lot. I leaned towards my car and took out my phone and dialled Niharika's number. She attended after some rings. "Hey Sid." She said. Her voice sounded so weak. I think Ved had shouted at her. "Hello Sis-in-law. What's up? Didn't see you in office today, all good?" I asked. Then I heard a sob. I felt my heart getting heavy. "Hey sis, are you crying?" I asked concerned. I don't know how to console her. Ved's anger is a complete different thing, that too when she was the one who is involved. I know he would be furious. "Sid, do you also think that I can do something like that?" She asked through sobbing. I kept silent for a moment. Then I heard her crying hard. "I didn't do it. I didn't Sid. I swear. Please believe me." She broke down. I felt myself uncomfortable hearing her cries. I know it's not her doing and I should find the real culprit who did this to her. And they won't escape easily. Whomever trying to play with my brother's life and happiness, I won't spare them. "Hey sis, I. I believe you." I said. "You do? Really?!!" She sounded surprised, like she didn't expect me to believe her. "Yes." I said. "Then why can't Ved believe me? How come he can accuse me for something I haven't done? It's killing me Sid. He doesn't even let me explain." She said sobbing heavily.

"I understand sis. It's not that he don't want to believe you. It's just that he has this trust issues. It's really difficult for him to trust someone. I don't know why he is like this but I know deep down in his heart he knows you didn't do it. He is just angry and he is taking it out on you. I will talk to him tomorrow. Okay. I will explain it to him. I promise, from tomorrow he will be back to normal." I said. She hummed in response. "Okay then, take care. Now go and sleep. Good night sis." I said and disconnected the call.

Then I immediately dialled Ved's number but no one attended the call. Where the hell is you Ved? I sighed. Now I know that Niharika is not the one send that mail, I have to find the real culprit. Arohi's face flashed in front of me. Arohi, if it's you who is behind this you are so gonna pay for this, you bitch. My brother was finally happy after all these years and I won't allow anyone to snatch it away from him. With determination I got inside my car and drove off to my house. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.

Next day, I came to office early. There were some important client meetings and project discussions. And then I had lunch with Mr. Sexsena while we discussed the proceeding of the Lonavla project. It was almost 2.30 PM when I reached back my office. I removed my coat and hung it on the back cushion of my chair and loosened my tie. I was rolling up my sleeves when the door suddenly opened and a panting Priya came in. "You are not going to believe what I found." She said while panting heavily. I frowned. "What is it?" I asked curiously.

"You said that Niharika was with you during the time mail was sent right. So, for a while I was thinking how could we find who did that. Then when you went out for lunch I had to go to finance dept to get a file and then it clicked. That's why ran to you." She said still trying to catch her breath. "You climbed all the stairs to tell me this?!! Why didn't you wait for the elevator?" I asked. "I was so excited to tell you and its okay, it's not like this is my first time taking the stairs." She said keeping her hands on her hips and rubbing her chest. I felt a prick of guilt in me. I shook my head to clear my thoughts. "So what is this thing you found out?" I asked.

She leaned back to my table and took a deep breath. "So when I went to get this file from the finance dept. I had to swipe my ID card to get in and out the office, because the door will get locked every time. Okay. So even if the security hasn't seen anybody leaving the office after Niharika, if they had to come out of the office..."

"They have to swipe their ID to open the door. So if we could find who was the last one swiped the ID we can know who the real culprit is." I completed the sentence for her. A wide grin appeared in our faces. "That's correct." She said with a same happy smile. "YES." I said. I was overjoyed. I scoop her up in my arms and swirled around in joy. We both were laughing when I put her down. "You are awesome." I said smiling at her. She gave me a happy smile. "Then come on let's not waste time." She said and we both hurried towards the office of security control head.

We were waiting while they run the system to get the entries and exit list of the finance dept on the exact date and time we mention. Since there were so many entries it was taking longer than we expected. We were getting impatient. We glare each other in time to time impatiently. "How long it will take?" I asked the man checking the entries. "It's almost ready sir." He replied. After few more minutes he handed us the print out list. We both took it eagerly and started to check the entries. And when we finally found the person we were looking for we were shocked. We looked each other in surprise. "I think we should go and show this to Ved." I said and she nodded in response.

We reached in front of Ved's office and heard some murmuring from inside. I frowned and looked at Priya. "I think you should go in alone. I will wait outside." She said. "No, you are coming with me. You are the one who found this so you had to come in with me." I said firmly and opened the door. I pulled her inside with me. I looked up to see three pair of eyes staring at us.
