《The Alpha King's Tribrid Mate》19

I walk around his house until I sensed that he wasn't in my room. I jump back onto the balcony and lock the door behind me as I walk in.
I didn't want to wake Doctor Lauren up to put my IV back in so I just took it off it's hook and laid it on the bedside table. There was a piece of paper on my pillow with a pen on it.
We have guests tomorrow. There is a dress in the closet I want you to wear and make sure you look suitable enough to meet other Alphas and Lunas. Be ready and in the kitchen by 9.
There was no signature it was definitely Malcom. I saw so tired and it was 3AM I have at least 4 and a half hours to sleep.
I walk into the closet and see a champagne colored dress that showed to much leg. Definitely not a dress for winter. I sigh and turn off the lights and get in bed. I was so tired that I fell asleep quickly and couldn't dream.
———
My eyes blinked open and saw the light beaming through the windows. I flip over and the time was 7:48. I groan and wipe my hand over my face.
I get up and rinse my face with cold water and took a quick shower. When I meet whoever is coming today. Will Malcom introduce me as his mate? Or as one of his flings? I get out of the shower soaking wet and went through the drawers and found a razor.
I shaved my legs real quick and dried off. I wrapped the towel around my body and said a spell to un-fog the mirror.
"There's hair stuff under the sink." I let out a yelp and my hand flew to the towel to make sure it stayed up. I see Lucas with a smile on his face.
"Perv," I yell at him. "Do you see that I have no clothes on. Therefore you do not come in."
"Who gets ready with the door unlocked?" He asks me. I roll my eyes and kept a strong grip on my towel.
"Well it was my knowing that the only person in this house is Malcom and I it still doesn't mean you can't knock," I said. "Plus Malcom wouldn't come in hear after what happened last night."
"What happened last night?" He asks. I shake my head.
"Out now I need to get ready," I said. I instantly locked the door behind him and bend down and open the cabinets under the sink and see a hair dryer. I plug it in and start the process of drying my thick hair.

My natural curls start to form and I run my hand through the back of my hair and felt that it was dry.
I pick my towel and wrap it around my body and open the door. The cool air from my room hit my warm body which made me shiver. I see Lucas playing with my halfway empty IV bag.
"Why is there still liquid in it," he asks, sensing my presence. He turns around and I shrug.
"I pulled it out last night. It was bothering me." Lie. I pulled it out because I had a nightmare. It sounded childish. Nightmares are something that sounds like children have them.
I walk into the closet and see a fresh pair of undergarments I didn't see last night. I still needed to talk to Lucas or Seth about my clothes.
I put on the underwear and hang the wet towel on the back of the door. All of the clothes I've worn were either hand-me-downs from Omegas or Mia.
I take the dress of the hanger and unzip the back of the dress. I step into being careful not to step on any of the fabric.
"Zan," I whisper. The zipper moved up my dress and I felt my waist tighten. I look in the mirror in the closet and did a spin. I licked the dress. It fit surprisingly well and was comfortable.
I walk out and see Lucas holding a box. He opens it and pulls out a pair of heels and holds them out.
"Malcom wants you to wear these," he said. I took it from him and slip them on. They were rose gold heels that had a metallic rose gold color vines leading from the heel to the base of the shoe. They fit comfortably and made me feel tall. I like feeling tall.
"Do you know who I'm meeting?" I ask Lucas. He shakes his head and I sigh.
"I was told it's a meeting about land and since the other Lunas are there Malcom will want you to be there," he said.
"But why it makes no sense. He doesn't even consider me as his mate," I said. He simply shrugged and I looked over his shoulder and the time was 8:57. "Crap I have to go." I flatten down my dress and fix my hair a bit.
"Do I look fine?" I ask Lucas. He nods and I sigh. My heart was pounding as I walked out the door. I see Malcom in the kitchen with a tuxedo on and his fluffy brown hair was combed back a bit.
I didn't make eye contact with him as I stood next to him. I felt out of place. I've been to one important meeting when I was little. I couldn't remember the last time I dressed like this.

"The dress I picked out suites you," he said.
"Thank you?" I was confused. He probably didn't want anyone knowing about the conversation we had last night.
"The meeting is in the main dining room in the pack house," he said. I nod as he walks off to the front of his house. There was a car in front of his house and he opened the side door for me.
I thank him quickly and got in. He got in the other side and the driver took off. I tapped my feet nervously. The short drive felt like hours long. He got out and helped me out if the car.
His hand caused my hand to explode in sparks. My wolf longed for that sense of explosion but it only happened rarely.
We walked in and through the long hallways until he opened a very large door. Inside I see Alpha Liam, Luna Lily, Alpha Titus, and Luna Sophia. Luna Sophia and Alpha Titus knew new me.
"Silentia," I whisper. There was a strong urge of magic in the room that quickly faded away. Malcom looked at me and glared.
"What did you do," he said with a growl.
"Whatever you tell them about me, they won't remember unless I'm there," I said. "So once they leave this room., they won't remember me. Only when they see me they'll remember." I realized that he rather have that. It made hiding me easier.
"Dawn?" I saw Luna Sophia ask as she looked at me. Dawn. I use that name when asking Alphas for their permission to cross through their lands. I smile and wave a little.
I passed through the Scarlet Moon Pack a few times so they knew me. On the other hand, I've only met Alpha Liam once.
"Hello Alpha Liam, Luna Lily, Alpha Titus, and Luna Sophia," he said shaking their hand as he walked to them. "This is my mate Nicolette."
I shook their hands and we sat down at the table. Malcom pulled out the chair for me and I sat down and he pushed it in and sat next to me.
This fake attitude he was putting up. Pretending that he cares for me. That I actually matter to him.
"Nicolette when did you meet Alpha Malcom?" Luna Sophia asks. I look at him then at Luna Sophia.
"I met him when passing through his territory a few weeks ago," I said. Lie. They didn't know how utterly dangerous I am. There was three powerful Alphas in the room all fighting for dominant.
"Nicolette do your parents know that Malcom is your mate?" Luna Lily asks. The question hits me like a brick to my face. My parents would never find out I have a mate. They would never find out the pain I'm going through.
I felt my hands begin to shake and my breathing waver. I felt my hand being grasped which send sparks up my arm. I look down and see Malcom's hand tightly gripping my hand.
"They found out two days after I met him," I said. She nods and smiles. She was human and so kind. Yet there was a vengeful side of her. Like if you make her snap you'll regret it.
"We're not here to discuss the wonderful relationship of Malcom and Nicolette but we're here to discuss land," Alpha Liam said taking lead. I could tell Malcom didn't like it.
Omegas came into the room with food and drinks as the Alphas were talking. I waited until the other Lunas took food before I took some.
I wasn't very hungry so I took a few slices of bread and munched on it. Malcom eventually let go of my hand and took his own food. There was lad that needed an Alpha and they were supposed to come to an agreement on who should get the land.
"I have enough land as it is it really doesn't bother me," Malcom said leaning back in his chair.
"The land isn't important to me right now so you can take it Titus," Liam said. He nodded and they all signed an agreement.
Short and quick. All that time to get ready for 45 minutes. We finished lunch up and said our goodbyes. I take off my heels and walk to Malcom's house.
I set the shoes on the ground and sniff as I sit at the edge of my bed.
My parents would never see all of this. They would never find out what happens the rest of my lives. They died knowing that I got away, not that I was safe. Malcom comes in and I wipe my tears off.
"Thank you for coming with me to have the meeting," he said. I nod and let out another sniff. "You're parents would be proud of you."
"How do you know that? You don't know anything about me. You just think I'm nothing to you. That I'm merely just a roadblock in your road of success."
"They would be proud because you lived. And that you're still here after the terrible things i did," he said then left. Left me crying and questioning what I could've done.
