Klaus's POV:

I watch as the human woman I had compelled for blood walks towards the gate out into the street.

Lorelei walks in off the street and looks from the woman to me.

"What's going on here?" She asks

"Nothing." I say

"Who the hell is she?" Lorelei asks

"Don't worry about it." I reply nonchalantly

She waits a moment before she speaks. I can hear her heart start to quicken.

"You've got some bitch here and I shouldn't be asking questions?" She says voice rising

"Are you jealous?"

"No."

"Liar."

She gives me a dirty look and grabs the woman by the arm and yanks her in front of her and grabs her on either side of her shoulders, pinning her in one spot.

"Tell me what's going on or I'll kill her."

I should've known I'd bring that out of her.

It's not a pleasant emotion but it's an emotion nonetheless.

"You're being ridiculous love." I say

Maybe this will finally cause her to turn it back on.

Come on love. I'll be with you every step of the way. Just turn it back on.

"I'll kill her Nik."

"No you won't."

She glares at me and I can feel her rage.

Then she does it.

She snaps the woman's neck and she crumples to the floor, lifeless.

I stand there stunned for a moment. I didn't believe she would kill an innocent human being but she did and now all bets are off.

"You have spun out of control!" I snap

"Oh baby I'm feeling better than I've ever been. Next time, don't push me."

She steps over the woman's body to leave.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Wherever the hell I want!" She yells back at me

Then she vanishes.

Lorelei's POV:

I walk into the coffee shop and shove my way to the front. People yell at me but I ignore them.

"You need to go to the back of the line miss." A young female barista says from behind the counter

She looks nervous like she hates confrontation.

"Get me an iced mocha six cream six sugar. On the house." I say compelling her

She nods and scurries away to fulfill my command.

"Listen bitch you can't just cut the line!" A woman snarls behind me

I slowly turn around.

"I don't like your tone." I say

I take a step towards her.

"Go walk into traffic." I say

I watch as her pupils change and without another word she turns around and walks out the door.

The barista hands me my drink and I take a long sip as I watch the woman I had just compelled take a step out into the road as people yell at her to get out of the way.

Too late.

A truck slams hard into her and everyone in the coffee shop yells or screams in horror.

I smile a little and walk out of the shop and into the street.

Klaus's POV:

I hang up the phone as Lorelei walks in.

"I heard about the little stunt you pulled." I say

She smirks a little.

"I'm just having fun Nik. It's not like I'm slaughtering people by the dozens. Chill out." She says and sits down

"Lorelei you are seriously pushing it." I warn

"See the great thing about not having my humanity is that I don't really care Nik. You're just losing it because in the past 5 years you've known me you don't have control and your paranoid mind can't handle it." She says with a laugh

I march over to her and without another word, I snap her neck.

I carry her into the bedroom and lock the door then head into the study to paint.

It's quiet for a few hours until Freya walks by.

"Hey where is everyone?" She asks

"Hope is with Hayley out in the French Quarter and Lorelei is recovering from a neck injury." I say

Freya nods.

"Things are getting worse. I heard about the coffee shop." She says taking a seat next to me. "What's the plan?"

"I have an idea." I say

We sit down and discuss for awhile then she leaves to prepare.

I hear banging coming from the bedroom.

The door explodes and Lorelei comes out looking very irritated.

"Wow. Really? You throw a fit when I do it to you but you can go ahead and snap my neck? Seems pretty hypocritical." She hisses

"Would you like to come paint with me?" I ask avoiding her comment

"No I don't. I want to go out!"

"Fine let's go out."

"Without you."

"Not happening. You can either stay here or go out with me." I say

We take off into the night together and I hope that this ends soon.
