{Vivians Pov}

"You don't want a mate?" My mom asks confusedly as we are dinner with my brother who was staring at his phone,

"I mean, you raised us both without a mate. I think I can handle it" I say eating slowly as she groans,

"The only reason why I raised you two without a mate was because my mate died protecting us. It took alot of pain and suffering to live without my mate Vivian. The feeling of having someone there isn't always going to happen the way humans have it. Our mate is usually once in a lifetime. So think about having to go through all that pain of rejecting your mate cuz it will hurt more than losing him the way I did" My mother replied smiling at me as I sighed while nodding,

"Your mate isn't one of the weak wolves I've met. What's his position?" My brother asks putting away his phone to eat as I avoided both of their staring eyes,

"He's the alpha kings brother in law" I say quickly hearing both of them drop their utensils,

"He's of royal blood?!" My mother gasps as I groaned hearing them now asks me a bunch of questions,

"Why would you wanna reject a royal bloodline?!"

"He's a fucking royal wolf?!"

"Why didn't you say that before!?"

"Why didnt you reject him the night I went to pick you up!?"

"What does he look like?!"

"Is he handsome like his brother in law?!"

"Mom!" I shout hearing her question seeing her smirk,

"What? The alpha king is a fine man" She says eating with a sly grin as I rolled my eyes,

"No wonder why I felt his strong aura when he got close to me the other night I went to pick you up" Damien says with a scoff,

"Honey, why would you want to reject him?" My mom asks looking at me confused,

"Well first off, he's like the most popular guy at the school which means all the girls like him. Secondly, he's probably going to leave me for one of the pretty cheerleaders that like him anyways. So what's the use of even trying to like him if he's just going to get bored and leave" I say with a frown before my mom grabs my hand soothing it lightly,

"If he does, I'll kill him. Royal blood or not" Damien says chewing his food violently as I chuckled,

"Your a beautiful young woman Vivian. Your not boring okay. If he loves you as much as I think he does , then your love for each other will overcome the feeling of loving anyone else" My mom says kissing my forehead as I shrugged before getting up with my empty plate to wash it,

"I'm not saying to jump into his arms all of a sudden baby, just give him a chance to see the real you. And maybe the outcome of your relationship will be forever lasting" She says from the table as I wash my plate in deep thought,

Should I give him a chance? Or will it just be another embarassing heartbreak waiting to happen?
