{Johns POV}

"Wow, that's so cute" Princess Phoebe gasps as my mate blushes at her words.

After the first time of both me and Vivian officially meeting Princess Phoebe last night at prom, she's been wanting to meet her mates bestfriend who just so happened to be my mate.

"You met your mate like one of those romantic movies where a knight in shining armor swooped in and rescued his princess" Princess Phoebe boasts as I smiled down at my mate who's face was redder than a tomato.

Alejandro was at the booth stand getting all 4 of us some hotdogs while we waited for him at the bench next to the food stands.

For me, it was weird that Alejandro wanted his first date with Princess Phoebe to be a double date with me and Vivian, but I guess when Vivian explained to me how nervous he was to take her out on a first date alone and since Phoebe was dying to meet Vivian by the way Alejandro talks about her, it's a kill one bird with two stones situation.

"You guys must be so in love with each other" Phoebe says with a sigh as I felt Vivian tense up in my arms that I had wrapped around her.

"I'm sorry, did I say something wrong?" She gasps noticing the look on both the faces of Vivian's and myself.

"I just thought since the way you looked at each other and talk about each other- I'm sorry" Phoebe says cutting herself off with a quick apology as Alejandro sat down with our food in his hands.

"What are you sorry about Princess?" Alejandro asks while pulling Phoebe into his arms and planting a kiss on her forehead.

I found it strange how Alejandro was so nervous about going on this date with his mate but yet when it came to physical contact, he would rather cut his own arms off than to go at least 5 minutes without clinging to his mate. Which in her case, was the best thing she could ever ask for in a mate since she was also clingy herself.

"I made it awkward between us. I honestly didn't know it was going to be weird for me to say love around them" Phoebe blurts out as Vivian and Alejandro both laughed simultaneously.

"It's not weird for you to say the word, it's just that Vivian has never said it to John" Alejandro says before eating his hotdog as Vivian turns around in my arm and leans in quickly as if to tell me a secret.

"I love you" She whispers in my ear quickly before getting up and running away with her hot dog as I looked confused at the couple in front of me.

"What are you waiting for? Run after her" Alejandro says with his mouth full as I noticed he was trying to hide a smirk while he was eating.

I got up trying to figure out what was going on, only to run around the carnival and find my mate standing in front of the Ferris wheel where a bunch of balloons and flowers were surrounding it.

"Surprise" She says nervously as I noticed she was holding out a black heart shaped box of red roses and chocolate covered strawberries.

"What-"

"Before you say anything, I wanted to say and give you something" She says cutting me off with a giggle before gesturing me to walk up to her.

I raised a brow as she handed the box of flowers and desert into my hands before hurriedly taking a folded piece of paper out of her sweater pocket.

"Dear John, from the first day that I found I was your mate, I had a bunch of alarms going off in my head about how bad this was all going to end" She starts off with a snort.

"Wow some kind of speech" I mutter as she rolls her eyes before continuing her letter.

"Anyways, I know I haven't been the best mate that you deserve or anyone deserves to be honest. I'm sorry for being rude to you and putting all my fears and having my past relationship be based off of ours. I'm sorry for causing you so much unnecessary drama at school and being so distant. From now on, and for as long as you want to keep me as your mate, I promise to stop being mean to you for no reason and to try to be the best mate I can be. And with that being said, I want to offer you something that I am trying to make up for the stupid stuff I've been doing to you" She explains as I smiled at her the whole time.

She looked so cute trying to talk to me with the words she probably took forever to write down judging by how her hands were shaking while she was holding the folded paper up to talk. I didn't even notice what she took out until she put the paper down and put a small black box in my face.

"Are you proposing to me miss Tran?" I ask with a smirk as she rolls her eyes again before opening the box showing two silver rings.

"They're promise rings. I know they're not much but I just-" before she could finish explaining the small rings in the box, I placed down the black box in my hands before lifting her into my arms and planting a kiss on her pouty lips.

"What-" she couldn't even speak properly as I spun her around while pecking her adorable plump lips over and over.

"Please put me down, my head is spinning to fast" She says suddenly putting her hands on my face as I laugh before putting her back on her feet.

"That's my girl!" A voice shouting from behind us yells as I turned to see Alejandro and Phoebe clapping and smiling at us.

"Do you two put her up to this?" I ask shockingly as Phoebe points at Alejandro who was winking at my mate.

"I wanted to tell you that I love you in a special way, since you always went out of your way with everything you've ever done for me. I wanted to repay you with something as close to what you do for me. I doubt this is anywhere near how many times you've done extravagant stuff for me but this is a start right?" Vivian rants out as I grabbed the ring box she was holding out so I could put the two rings inside onto both of our fingers.

"I love you so much my adorable little bunny" I reply before pulling her small self into a passionate kiss as the sound of the other two cheering behind us was heard.

"Just by hearing you say you love me is more special than anything in the world" I say pulling away while still holding her body against mine as she blushes.

"But I also got the carnival people to shut down the Ferris wheel that we shared our first kiss on just for this special moment" She whispers cautiously pointing behind herself as I laugh at how cute she looked while explaining her plan.

"Then let's make this moment even more special" I answer back before carrying her towards the empty Ferris wheel.
