《BABY GOJŌ {jujutsu kaisen}》chapter 25

❝she splurges with her daddy's money❞
today was the day.
marri had did her bed in the morning; she ate breakfast and dressed herself without needing satoru's help of tying her shoelaces, and she got a reward for being so good thus far into the year.
was it a bit wack for her to shop for christmas presents in early november?
maybe.
but did she care?
oh hell no!
hence why little marri was hobbling down the street in her cool sneakers that lit up, in her fit of the day with a broad grin on her face.
the young girl had snuck out — once again.
marri had on a small backpack with a wallet inside, where satoru had given the girl her own credit card for her birthday last year.
and even though satoru was rich, the little girl usually tried not to spoil herself with her papa's money, and had the others around her pay instead, like the fushiguros, the zenins, itadori, kugisaki, inumaki, and etc.
"what gift would a curse like? I think inu would really appreciate a new pillow", marri said to herself as she grabbed a fluffy one off the shelf and dropped it in the basket that she ended up dragging on the floor.
"now for s'kuna..."
the girl halted.
"I'll come back to him and start with the fishiguros", marri told herself.
it wasn't until halfway through her shopping spree that a certain blue-haired curse had snuck a glance at the little girl, to which he had grinned at his luck.
he originally wanted to lead the little girl into the forest with him, but kugisaki was there and it would've been a bit troublesome since he knew that satoru and the other two were nearby.
however, now was the perfect chance.

mahito transfigured into his child form, to which he had skipped towards marri meanwhile the little girl was examining a shelf of miniature christmas trees.
"marri!!"
the little girl turned around and gasped.
"HITO!! I didn't think you'd actually find me!!", marri giggled as she gave her first friend, that's "her age", a hug.
mahito awkwardly chuckled and patted the little girl's back as marri had swiftly let go.
"so I'm buying gifts for my family and friends and I was wondering if you could help. I'm kind of stooped about what to get s'kuna, but since you're a curse, you would know right?"
mahito hummed and nodded in agreement until he suddenly stopped.
"wait—did you just...did you just say curse?"
"yeah! did you think I wouldn't notice? I mean...I wasn't sure on halloween night because it was a bit dark, but I can see better now", marri pointed out.
"and...you're not scared?", mahito asked, watching as marri got a snow globe and carefully placed it on top of the pillow in her basket.
"should I be?", marri asked.
"I mean...I have like two and a half friends that are curses. inu lives with me, s'kuna's....and I haven't seen mr. jōgo in a while", marri hummed.
mahito heard jōgo talk about how weird this child was, but he had thought that she was just plain stupid, as she had no sense of danger at all.
"so, do you like boba?"

"HOW THE FUCK DID YOU LOSE YOUR OWN CHILD?!"
"I DON'T KNOW! AND YOU CAN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING, DAD OF THE YEAR!"
tōji offendedly gasped as megumi just rolled his eyes, skimming through the short note that marri had left on the table in her room.

"you could just check to see where she's been spending her money since your account's linked to her credit card right?", megumi asked, to which the two men had stopped glaring at each other as satoru hummed.
"oh, yeah".
satoru gasped as she saw that marri bought two bobas, and she always finished one, so that had meant that she was with someone.
"MY BABY'S ON A DATE!!", satoru sobbed, to which tōji, megumi, itadori, and kugisaki made a confused expression.
even sukuna had popped out and gasped.
"NANI?!"
"SENSEI!!"
"HAI, YŪJI-KUN!!"
"do you think the maybe she's with that boy that she met at—"
kugisaki immediately covered itadori's mouth as she awkwardly chuckled, nearly choking the pink-haired boy.
"o-orrrr, maybe she's got a big appetite!"
satoru stayed silent.
"yūji, release the rapid dog", satoru demanded.
"h-huh?"
"bring out, sukun—"
"I'LL KILL YOU, YOU DAMN SORCERER!", the curse shouted.

"and so I was thinking of getting noba a prada bag and yūji a ticket to jennifer lawrence's new sho—"
"PRADA BAG?!"
"JENNIFER LAWRENCE'S NEW SHOW?!"
"MARRI!!", the two students cried, pouncing on the girl as mahito nearly choked on his bobas.
satoru, sukuna — who had just came out — and tōji just glared at the blue-haired curse, who started sweating bullets as he mentally prepared an escape.
"GOOMI!! SAVE ME!!", marri called out as the black-haired boy shimmied through the other two, so that he could protect marri in his embrace.
sukuna, tōji, and satoru stared down at mahito, who was still in his child form, thus making it all the more intimidating for him.
"who the fuck do you think you are?", sukuna asked.
"you think you're worthy enough of breathing the same air as her and drinking boba together?", satoru scoffed.
"and what's up with your face?", tōji questioned.
mahito struggled to answer as he felt the air around him slowly deplete out of his body.
"I-I-I...."
"listen here, mosquito, hurt my little princess and I'll hurt your entire soul, body, brain — if you even have one — and feed it to megumi's shikigami dogs", satoru lowly whispered.
"it's...m-mahit—"
"did I ask?"
no answer was heard.
"exactly".

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
