《The Bride of Gojo Satoru》Chapter 5

Walking to the school with Naozumi with us, Gojo suddenly brought a topic to my attention. "I think it's time we train our son."
My heart fastened by the word 'training'. "Isn't it too early?" I had anxiety for him since my training as a child was brutal. I know Gojo wouldn't push Naozumi to the edge but it's still a scary feeling.
"No, it's just the right age. It all depends if he can see spirits like us, so that's why we're taking him on a mission tomorrow!"
"Gojo Satoru!" I glared at him. "Are you crazy?! Taking our five years old son to an area filled with cursed spirits?!" If Naozumi wasn't here, I would've thrown hands at him for being a bad father of the year. Maybe I should buy him a shirt or a mug so he can be proud of it.
"Babe, chill! We're going to let him observe and see if he can see spirits! I wouldn't throw my child into a pit of snakes and expect him to make it out of alive without any survival skills. I'm not crazy... Who do you think I am?"
Did he expect me to answer it correctly? He is crazy but he won't admit it if I told him. "No comment." I would rather not hear him whining that he's not a madman...to which he kind of was when he's in his killer mode.
When we got on campus, we headed towards the first year's dorms. "I can't wait to see, big brother!" Naozumi dropped from Gojo's arms and started running to Megumi's room. "Big brother!" He called out and Megumi popped his head out with a soft smile. Megumi looked so stress-free with Naozumi around.
"So you came to visit me?" Megumi ruffled Naozumi's hair, letting him enter. Then Megumi geared his attention to me and Gojo. "Hi sensei, if you're looking for Yuji, he's inside his room."
"Keep an eye on Naozumi until we come back. It won't take long!" I said before running off with Gojo to Yuji's room. I knew Megumi would listen to me more than Gojo. I think Megumi respects me more than him if I do say so myself.
"Are you scared?"
"Just a bit... I don't know how far Sukuna will go. I have questions for him too and it's about Nozomi. I feel like I know why he turned into a demon, but I need to hear it from his mouth since he likes me so I doubt he'll hurt me." I rubbed salt into Gojo's open pride. Even though I think Sukuna won't hurt me, he's still a powerful demon. He will find ways to make me suffer since in his past life, he couldn't have Nozomi even after death.
"Babe, please don't do that to me."
"Yes yes..."
Knock knock
"It's your best sensei of all time!" I shook my head as I let Gojo have his moment.
Heavy footsteps ran over towards the front door and opened it fast. "Gojo-sensei!" Yuji called in excitement as they high fived each other. Once their greeting was over, Yuji directed his attention to me. "Oh, you're the woman from last night."
"Yuji," Gojo placed his hand on my shoulder. "This is my beautiful wife, Ena! And she has the face of Sukuna's past lover... Yuck!" He said in disdain, making puking noises in the back.
"Hi Yuji, just call me Ena since I share the same last name with this goofball right here," I patted Gojo's arm, signaling him to stop being a fool. "I have a few questions for Sukuna..." Words stopped coming from my lips when I saw a mouth appear on Yuji's cheek. That's a bit concerning to witness. Imagine Sukuna inserting himself into Yuji's dating life. How terrible it will be if it happens.

"Ah, so she finally arrives. I've been waiting for you."
My golden eyes darted from Yuji to Gojo, then back to Sukuna's talking mouth. "I'll get straight to my questions. Who is Nozomi to you? I've heard the backstory already, but since you're the original one... Why don't you enlighten me?" I don't expect this to be easy especially when he has the power to kill everyone but will make us suffer instead.
"And if I tell you? What's in it for me? You're making a deal with the devil right here." Sukuna chuckled.
"What you get is to finally talk to me." I didn't want to throw too much of myself into the pit of fire. It's a dangerous game to begin with. "I'm pretty sure you'll never obtain a vessel again and see your reincarnated lover's face at the same time."
"You haven't pulled me in yet. How about you become mine?" Sukuna's voice grew sinister, and Gojo pulled me away from Yuji, who's just a victim in this.
"Sukuna, you better watch how you speak to my wife. There's no way in hell I'm letting you take her away from me." I've never seen Gojo so defensive. He usually laughs about it then takes me away, but this time it was different. Prowess took over his quirky side.
"Satoru," I gently touched his back, guiding him away from Yuji. "It's okay. I have this under control." If I have Gojo in here, I don't know if Sukuna's going to comply with me. "Go play with Naozumi. He hasn't seen you all day. I'll be fine."
Gojo reluctantly agreed and left the room.
I informed Yuji of the situation since he looked very clueless. "Yuji, will you be okay if you switch with him? It might be easier to do this in the talisman chamber. If you don't want to then I'll respect that." I don't want to force Yuji if he doesn't know how to control Sukuna.
"We can. If it makes it easier for you to get your answers then I'll switch with him." How sweet of him to be considerate of my feelings. I need Gojo to be more like him.
"But can you control him?"
"Yes, ma'am, I can!"
In the talisman chamber, I tied his hands back as he sat in a chair. "This brings me back to when Gojo-sensei did this to me after I ate Sukuna's finger."
"I hope he didn't do anything dumb with you did he?" Gojo can be unpredictable at times, so it's hard to know if he's even doing his job correctly.
"Nope."
"Alright, are you ready?" Yuji nodded, and I called forth Sukuna. Immediately, Yuji's face was covered in black tattoos like I last saw him, and Sukuna opened his eyes.
"My my... Tying me down, locking me in a talisman chamber, you're very cunning. You got rid of that husband of yours just to do this. Impressive. Maybe this once, it won't hurt to answer your questions." His gruff voice echoed in the air as he narrowed his eyes at me. He was devoid of all emotions from what I could tell, yet I sensed he has a soft spot for someone like me, who's close to him from the past.
I laid back in my chair as my legs were crossed. "Who is Nozomi to you?"
"You already know the answer so why ask?"
"Did you feel no remorse or hatred towards the Kita Clan for taking Nozomi away from you? Or how they used her to target you? They manipulated her to kill you without her acknowledging it until it was too late. Have you no feelings when she died in your arms after self sacrificing herself to protect you?" I aimed questions to create a dent in his blackened heart. I knew he had one because he wouldn't have been shaken and confused when he first laid eyes on me.

The more question I pressed, Sukuna began getting agitated at the outpouring of his old memories resurfacing. His face twisted in immense loathing as he tried to pull against the rope which bound him to the ground. "They're the reason why I turned into this monster. They're the reason why I couldn't live with Nozomi and be happy with her. She died because of them. She died trying to protect me, and yet I still couldn't protect her at the end."
Sukuna drowned in his own misery for failing to be the man Nozomi needed.
"So what is she to you?" I asked my question again. I wanted to hear this monster sound human since he's never had the chance to do that for Nozomi. I'm just interested in how far he'll go because I have her face.
A wide smirk marked his face as his eyes changed, shifting the aura of the room. It no longer felt like an interrogation room, but like the table has turned on me. "Your time is up. I don't need to answer that. You already have your answer. It's useless to ask a question you already know, Ena." All I wanted to hear him say was that he loves her; however, I saw no passion in his heart but a regretful mistake in the past.
I sighed, getting up from my chair. A smile crept up my lips as I felt a bit satisfied to hear his words. "I guess that's how far I'm getting my questions answered. I am not your Nozomi; I am Gojo Ena—"
"Hehe..." Sukuna chuckled out of nowhere. "You can't even claim yourself as a 'Kita' proudly. I can see the hesitation in your eyes. I can guess that they still treat their offsprings like shit. You may say you're not Nozomi, but I see her in your eyes."
I wasn't sure if he was trying to rattle me up but he was right. I have no pride in being called a 'Kita'. No matter how much me and Nozomi were alike, I am still not her. We may share the same rooted tragedies, but I am in a happier place than she was. I cracked a bright, glowing smile to show off how content I am with my great life. "You're right. I have no pride in being a Kita, but it doesn't mean that I can't enjoy my new chapter of life. I have a loving family, a fantastic yet stressful life, and great friends." Placing my hand on the ear of the chair, I zoomed close to his face where he could see my glistening eyes. "You can eat shit because I am not the woman you used to love a thousand years ago. I am Gojo Ena, a woman who looks like your past lover but isn't her. I won't let you take me from my husband and this life I have." Then I pulled back.
"I see you're a hard one to please... But I'm not going down without a fight, Ena. You still have a place on the throne to be my Queen."
Clicking my tongue, I called back Yuji. I'm tired of Sukuna's talk. That crazy demon lost his chance of life after turning into a two headed creature with four arms. "Yuji, are you back?" The tattoos on his face faded away and the owner woke up after switching.
"Y-yeah I'm back!"
"Alright, kid. Let's go!"
After untying him, we went into Megumi's dorm. "How was it?" Gojo asked, inspecting my face when I walked in. His large hand hastily pulled my cheeks, moved my head in different angles, and checked my mouth. He's going a bit overboard.
Taming his hands from doing anything inappropriate in front of the others, I explained to him about the talk. "Right now, I can guarantee he won't be harming me. Let's just hope nothing changes in the future." If Sukuna were to take over Yuji, then we're all screwed over.
Gojo turned to his students. "Tomorrow morning we're heading out to get our last person in the group. Don't be late! Bye kiddos!"
"Let's go, Naozumi." I opened my hand for him to grab as he ran over after saying his goodbyes to Megumi.
Later that night, I sat in bed, scrolling through my social media while Gojo tucked our son to sleep.
Click!
He came back from Naozumi's bedroom.
I placed my phone on the nightstand as I sat up, opening my arms for him to hug me. "Come hug me!" I craved for his love and affection right now. "I need you with me!" Gojo jumped, embracing me tightly with his strong arms. His soft hair tickled the crook of my neck, nuzzling his face there.
"This is new. Usually, it's me asking you. What did Sukuna—" I quickly cut him off before he goes on a rampage and kills Yuji in the process because of Sukuna entering our peaceful life.
"He didn't do anything, Satoru. There's no way I'd give myself up and turn into a demon to satisfy him. I'll end up getting depressed because I'm not his lover, I'm yours." I showered him with kisses on his face, to bring back the goofy man who loves to annoy me. I don't want his serious side right now. "Is it bad for me to ask for your love?"
"No." I held in my stifling giggles from his lips vibrating against my neck. The most ticklish part for me.
"Today made me realize that anything bad can happen to us. I'm stuck in a position where I might lose you and Naozumi to a demon who lost his chance at love. I know I never express my love because you find a way to tick me off," I laughed, falling flat on the bed with him in my arms. "I love this life with you, and I wouldn't trade it for someone else or this world."
Gojo suddenly pulled back, nailing his hands on both sides of my head. A big grin drew his lips apart and his eyes were hungry to eat me up. "Are you ready for the smexy time?" Exciting chills ran up my whole body. "I'm going to show Sukuna that you're mine."
