《The Bride of Gojo Satoru》Chapter 33

"I'll see you later, honey. Be safe! If something goes wrong, call me and I'll be right there!" I watched my wife leave with Shoko to go to the doctor's appointment today. There was a bright expression which couldn't be extinguished on her face. Ena was glowing from her pregnancy, and I wanted it to be like that until her due date. However, I can't hide it for much longer that the higher ups want to get rid of her. Only me, Nao, and Yuta knew this. I have to inform my clan about this and deal with the higher ups later... I lied to Ena about the meeting with the higher ups. She did have one but I intercepted due to Yuta's tip ahead of time. They will be seeing me instead of my wife. I'll protect her no matter what.
I headed out for a Gojo clan meeting. Everyone has to know about this because my parents arranged my marriage and Gojo members had to approve of it too. In addition, not only is she my wife of basically 10 years, she has my children too. If the higher ups want to kill Ena that means they're wanting to wage war against the Gojo clan.
At another traditional Gojo house where my parents and relatives lived, everyone waited for me to arrive as usual as I was late. My son was somewhere in this house playing with his cousins or something. I just can't have him being a part of this than he already is. He's only just a child, and I can't have him thinking about fighting for his mom's life when I'm the one who's doing that. I need to protect him from this cruel world he was born into.
"Satoru, you're finally here." Father called out to me, and I made my way to sit at an empty seat right next to my mother.
"Haha! Yes, I'm here. I had to send off my wife to her doctor's appointment with a colleague. With that being said, I won't beat around the bush because this will shock everyone... The higher ups are planning to kill Ena today."
That when the whole room went into a frenzy as everyone chatted over each other, trying to understand if my words were true or not, or if the higher ups have lost their minds. It was a lot of their own speculation about this turning event.
Then one dared to test my solid claim. "But how are you sure they wanted to kill Ena? We all know you hate the higher ups. Are you just using your wife as an excuse to overthrow them?"
Of course they would question my judgement even as head of the clan. I gave them all a run down of evidence about how I concluded my decision. "I just want all of you to stick by Ena's side while I deal with the higher ups. She's having triplets and our children can be the next clan leader. I only came here to give you a run down of what's happening in my life. Now I'll be attending Ena's meeting in her stead—" Before I could leave the meeting room, I was stopped by some other people.
"Satoru, if they are trying to pin the blame onto Ena and kill her, it's impossible to convince other clans about this situation. They would think we have gone crazy and will report it to the higher ups. They might want them to lose favor in us despite you holding our clan high." One said.

"There's not going to be an easy way to convince the Zenin clan, especially the history between us." Another person added.
They were right though. The Zenin and Gojo clan has bad blood dated back to a hundred years ago because of a showdown between two clan leaders, which resulted in both of their deaths at the end of it when they unleashed their innate technique. Additionally, my powerful status won't be able to sway them at all.
Then my parents interjected. "We will handle the other clans once things start to progress and when there's a major turn in this case. When we're able to develop our arguments, then we will hold a meeting with the leaders."
"I'm not sure how the Zenin or other leaders will react, but if the odds aren't in our favor then we have to use Ena." I calmly yet nervously added in. I didn't want to put her in this position if the meeting doesn't work out, but she will have to know about her execution soon. That's the main obstacle I can't hide her from. If I do delay her future meetings with the higher ups then she will suspect and get anxious. I can't have my baby flipping her health because of this sudden change.
"But didn't you inform us that Ena doesn't know?" A member asked.
My head was hurting from their questions. I don't have the answer to everything at the moment because I haven't met the higher ups yet. Sighing, I ended this meeting quickly. "She's going to know sooner or later. As of right now, I have to meet with the higher ups and confront them. We'll regroup later."
With that being said, I left the residence.
As I entered the tower to meet the higher ups, I made my presence clear to them behind the shoji panel which concealed their bodies and faces. They couldn't be that wreckless to attack Ena in this small dimmed room. In addition, I sensed more bodies in here which included the assassins who dared to bring harm to my wife. I assume they would've attacked her once the meeting was over. Those devils will pay...
"Is this my welcome party for my wife? To be immediately killed after the meeting? Greet the assassin for me will ya! Thank goodness it wasn't my distant relative who had to do this dirty job of yours." I snarled in dismay, slightly holding back my anger. The plan was to have some sort of self control before I did the unspeakable and kill them with my hands. I can't do that because other sorcerers, who have the same mindset as them, will just replace these dead higher ups. I have to show their true intent and color in order for other sorcerers to understand what system they're living in.
"G-Gojo?!" The higher ups stammered in shock, thinking that their opportunity to kill Ena was perfect because only Yuta knew about their true intention. I'm pretty sure if they connected the dots, they're going to accuse Yuta for betraying the higher ups but it wasn't just him who knew, my son heard it as well so in the end it leads back to my family.
"Shut it," I coldly said, glaring at everyone in the room behind my blindfold. "Your plan has been foiled by the likes of me, Ena's husband—the greatest sorcerer of all time—the best dad in the world—the best teacher in this world—and society's savior. I'll warn you..." I stepped towards the closet shoji panel to me and stood behind it with a sinister smile tugging my lips. I leaned in very close to the panel, making sure they felt my ominous aura surrounding my body. "I won't hesitate to kill you because you have crossed the line. Not only you threatened my family, but even tried to lure her into this meeting to kill her off. I know you see her as a threat to our world, but she's not involved in this matter whatsoever. Your assumptions are heavily based on your own fears." Even though I said I would kill them, I can't kill them just yet. I want their viewpoint to crumble into pieces so they knew that their power was declining. That's the best way to destroy them.

"Gojo Satoru," One of the higher ups boldly announced like they didn't have fear seeping into their skin and scaring them away. "The situation has changed, that's why she has to die regardless if she's with child or not. Geto Suguru is alive because it's your fault for not bringing his dead body back!"
They have the right to be angry about that. Back then, I couldn't bring myself to do it even though he was dead. He was still my former best friend who was by my side throughout high school. However, if they wanted to get angry, they should be pinning it towards me rather than Ena. Was that their way of hurting me in the process? Possibly.
"Ena isn't the only one who's punished for her execution, you are too. You both are deemed as accomplices along with your child." Everything went downhill once they brought up my son into this. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists. This was getting out of hand the more they spoke. No one involves my son into this mess; my son was as innocent as my wife. "We can't kill you, but we can exile you from jujutsu society."
"What?" I wasn't shocked that I'm exiled. I'm shocked about the treatment between me and Ena. She has a harsher sentence because her clan is dead, whereas mine are still active and hold power because of me. "So you're saying that my life is more important than a pure Kita member? You need to remember that their clan has done so much for this society." Now they gave me more reason to kill them. It's like they're overlooking what her clan has done for everyone because Sukuna and Geto were in the picture.
"We cannot overlook how she's the next Nozomi. She's a danger to society especially when Sukuna has been incarnated. No one is safe with her around, so she needs to be eliminated. Along with that, Itadori Yuji's execution shall take place, and your family aren't permitted to step on school grounds unless you all want to die. We'll have sorcerers guarding the school, and they won't take any of you lightly. Ena will die. Now you should leave before we make matters worse.... Besides, you have no power to make decisions for this system. You are one powerless man."
Feeling agitated and bitter, I left for the sake of my family's safety. If I did anything else to provoke them, then they would target Ena again. Everyone knew that she's my weakness as well as Naozumi. I can't jeopardize their lives due to my careless actions while my emotions and mind were in a disarray. Also, I had to take Yuji and Yuta home with me because their lives were in danger now. I'll protect everyone no matter what.
As I made my way to Yuji's dorm, the image of my unborn triplets drifted in my head as happy thoughts took over. I smiled from the very idea of my family living in harmony in this world. My parents were going to dote over their new grandchildren, Naozumi was going to be a big helper to his mom, and my wife was going to be restless yet joyful from the triplets. Life was going to be great... If the higher ups stopped involving us.
In front of Yuji's dorm, I knocked on it.
Knock knock knock
I couldn't let Megumi be alerted since their rooms were right next to each other. I can't let anyone be involved. This is my problem which I can handle. I would feel bad if others were to join in because they care for my growing family. It's less of a burden for them if I do say so myself.
Shuffling footsteps were heard behind the door as the door knob turned and the door revealed a tired Yuji rubbing his eyes. "Sen...sei? What are you doing here?" He yawned, stretching his body as I chuckled at his appearance.
"Pack your things, you're coming back to my house."
"What?"
After getting Yuji packed and ready to go, I grabbed Yuta along the way and headed out of the building. It's going to be a long time before I come back here. Turning around, I said my goodbye to this great school but shitty higher ups. "Farewell... I'll see you soon once I sort things out." I don't care how long it'll take me to keep my family safe but moreover, I have faith that my students are going to do just fine without my teachings. I've taught them enough to the point where they don't align their principles with the old, conservative system. My students will be fine sorcerers in no time.
In the car, I drove them to my house. I received a text message from Ena that she's at Shoko's house for a bit. Now I have to find an excuse about why my two students have to live with us.
"Sensei, what's going on?" Yuji asked, feeling more confused upon this sudden shift. He was living his life peacefully after returning from the dead, but now he's probably thinking why he has to go back into hiding. Yuta, on the other hand, already knew what was up.
I broke the truth to him because his life was on the line, and Sukuna's attachment towards my wife, unborn child, and Naozumi were too. "Yuji and Sukuna, if you are listening, which you have to because it pertains to your dear Nozomi residing in my wife's womb." My hands tightly gripped the steering wheel as I breathed out calmly, taming my emotions and heart from getting out of control. "The higher ups are trying to kill Ena because they're scared of her. They believe she will take down this world by joining forces with these two men: Geto and Sukuna. However, we all know that she wouldn't even want to jeopardize her life she has right now. She's in a somewhat good position...if we minus Sukuna being in the frame." I know life would've been better if Sukuna hadn't been incarnated this year or the next.
I continued on, "Furthermore, the higher ups wanted Yuta to kill Ena today. Yuta rejected them so they hired assassins to do it, and I took her place at the meeting." I explained to them about the sticky situation about the assassins and the final outcome of the confrontation. "My family is banned from entering to the two schools and will be killed if we did go, Ena is still wanted dead, I'm exiled from this stupid society, and Yuji is going to be executed immediately. I'm not sure who's supposed to kill you because Kita members can only do that; however, I'm not going to let them kill you since you're going to be living with me for a while."
Looking up at the rearview mirror, animated swirls replaced his eyes as he consumed all this hefty information. Yuji just can't lay back and chill without thinking about being killed sooner or later. That poor child can't even live a life with peace, but he's one strong kid. "So what about Fushiguro and Kugisaki? Are you not going to tell them? What am I supposed to tell them when they notice I'm gone?" I understood his feelings for his friends, but they couldn't get involved no matter what. I want them to focus their attention somewhere else.
"I'll say that you're overseas." That's the only answer I knew my two students won't fuss about.
"But won't the higher ups tell everyone the truth?" Yuji asked.
He's not wrong, but I'm not too sure if the higher ups want to tell the students about it. I want to think they'll only tell non-highschool sorcerers instead. However, if it comes to that point where my students know about it, then I can guarantee they'll trust my judgement of hiding Yuji and my family.
"I'm not sure, Yuji but put your trust in your peers. They will catch word and understand our positions." There's nothing much I can say or do to ease Yuji's tension as he sat stiffly in the car ride home. "You can't tell Ena this at all. She can't know about it for the sake of her pregnancy and health. I want the both of you to protect her and my son if I'm not around too." Since Ena's at a vulnerable state, she can lose the baby anytime soon due to the higher ups.
"Yes," Yuji firmly nodded.
I can trust that Sukuna will also be alerted too. After all, Nozomi means so much to him to the point where he'll pursue our unborn child.
"Of course. I am indebted to you, Gojo-sensei." Yuta calmly spoke, having a dead expression written all over his face.
That boy's personality has changed a lot during this year. He's not the bright kid he used to be back when I saved him from being executed. He's now glum with his eyes dull. This is the result of being a sorcerer—a life of restless killings for the sake of these non-sorcerers to live in peace. Nonetheless, his perception has grown overtime so I don't have to worry about him.
"Act normal when we're at my house. If Nao asks later on, lie to him for the time being. I'll be busy going to another family meeting once again and telling them about this situation."

Oracle by Default
Oracles are known as divine handouts passed down from the Holy Creator. There are times when evil exist and the Holy Creator wishes to intervene, to which the title of the Oracle is bestowed upon an individual to become the Creator's will in physical form. The Oracle's mission is to then gather heroes from different races to purge the evil. “For the reckoning that is to come, all are tested. Thou shall be the shadow of which valiant souls shine and guide thee through harsh trials. Till oblivion comes, do not turn astray but to continue down the path thou chosen to walk. Lastly, thou must not see eye to eye with, but against the world.” A mysterious man engraved a seal onto Kihet before saving him from being consumed by the flames. The seal seems to have a strong connection with the legends of the Oracle and a Tower with no entrance that suddenly sprouted near the village. Throughout years, his efforts to study the strange tower remained fruitless. Then one day, the village decided it was time for his friends and him to become envoys to look for the potential evil the Holy Creator detected. Before Kihet can set off on his journey alongside his friends, he has his own set of problems to overcome against the village. Note: It's slow. There is romance, but it plays a small role that I don’t know if I should add it in the tags. Main story starts at Chapter 12. Chapters before do contain meaningful context for the rest of story.
